Crash at launch means it's not functioning at all?
Is there any other gcam which is working?(maybe mi8 or mi mix 2s camera port)
None of BSG, Arnova, cstark, arthur work.
We will wait for the s845 pixel 3 to come out then we will have a fully functional gcam
Did you guys try out the one given in this video description?

Camera samples from Arnovav7 beta test9 are aweful. Please look at samples from Poco F1 (V7 beta test9) vs Redmi Note 5 Pro (v8.1 beta3)
Redmi Note 5 Pro - 7.9MB

Poco F1 - 1.9MB (For some reason, it does not capture beyond 2-2.5mb) and hence loses details in images

Redmi Note 5 pro - Zoom (Look at the details on the pink basket, it is so clear. Look at the pink comb, and you can see the bristles clearly)

Sanjav, photos are again bad with 7.9.7 APK. I have a Redmi Note 5 pro, and Poco is not able to match the photo quality. As I said, we would require @Arnova8G2 to look into our phone. I am ready to donate $10 if he is willing to help us out. Other members could similarly contribute generously for his efforts.

Damn, I didn't look at the file sizes and thought MI improved the stock cam optimization a lot as it was capturing a lot better than Gcam. So it's definitely capable of massive improvement with Gcam. I hope it isn't hard for Arnova, Serjo & BSG to port stuff as the camera sensor is closer to Pixel 2 and other phones like MI 8 would also be benefited from this. We can tag Arnova & BSG after the sufficient logs are gathered.
You have to enable the camera 2 api firt then the gcam mod will work
I am using this currently

hello everybody ,,,
how to add notification for mi 8 & Poco F1
if you own one of Xiaomi Mi 8 & Pocophone F1, you will surely know that the management of the notifications it's quite annoying. Given the presence of the notch, the MIUI team decided not to display them in the status bar, although POCO claimed that should solve soon. However, for the moment this means having to lower the notification curtain every time you want to check if there are notifications or not. But thanks to the app Super Notch this problem can easily be bypassed: here's how.
With Super Notch back the notifications in the status bar of Xiaomi Mi 8 and Pocophone F1
xiaomi mi 8 pocophone f1 notifications super notch
Fortunately, this procedure does not require any requirements like unbooted bootloader or enabled root permissions. First you will have to download and install KLWP Live Wallpaper Maker and upgrade to Pro version . This is because the Free version does not allow you to load the Super Notch custom presets

Hi,
I have Mi 11x Pro (haydnin) stock firmware 12.0.2-12.5.2.
I am having this really annoying colours issue on HDR videos. All HDR videos have really bad color banding in dark areas and the colours appear grayish. The HDR is activated (as I can't change color filters in toolbox) but the videos don't look anything like they should.
I have played side by side with another HDR capable device Asus zenfone 5z and Poco F3 GT (K4O Pro Game enhanced edition). The difference is quite night and day.
Setting the phone in day mode almost fixes the color banding , but the colors are still dull and grayish and the blacks look like I'm using an LCD mobile!
Here see for yourself. A video speaks more than billion words.
If you have this device.
Please set it to night mode.
Set brightness to full.
Play this video on YouTube from 2:30 onwards. (
)
And let me know if you have the ugly color banding and greyish colours as well.
Confirmed the same issue. Seems that Xiaomi has not handled HDR content well

Yes. Absolutely unacceptable if you advertise this phone as having an award-winning display. Please mention your mobile version and firmware version too.

I'm using K40 Pro + Xiaomi.eu 21.8.11
I'm thinking of the incompatibility between Miui and Youtube app when playing HDR content.

It's not only YouTube. But every platform I tested, it is buggy.
UPDATE:
ADDED A BRIEF VIDEO of the issue as compared a a device without this issue (Poco F3 GT)

I returned the device. But if you can't. I suggest you use SVP video player from playstore. It'll give you right colours.

I'm not talking about the camera pics/videos.
HDR is terrible in the Mi 11i. It oversharpens and has inconsistent saturation. I'm hoping they'll address that in the MIUI 13 update.

Hope you guys are fine and doing great. I'm back with another useful feature in ColorOS. Mobile gaming is growing bigger and faster than any other gaming platform. Smartphones have greatly influenced the growth of the online gaming industry in multiple ways, which include attracting many more gamers. When gaming, mainly there should not be any lag or shutter. It must be buttery smooth. For seamless gaming experience OPPO has introduced Game Space. Here we are discussing about Games[Game Space] available in ColorOS 11.3
So let's know more about Games through this thread!
About Games [Game Space]
Games is an application in OPPO devices to enhances the performance of games and improves the gaming experience. Put all your favorite games in one place. Games will be gathered in one application that serves as a hub so they wouldn't be scattered around your home screen. It also offers the Game Toolkit, DND, Performance enhancement and other features to ensure the best quality game experience for you. The Games will automatically launch game mode when you enter the game, where the phone will intelligently adjust the CPU/GPU/Storage according to the game scenario, ensuring the game to run smoothly at any time, reducing the power consumption.
Let's see what are the options available in app.
Interface
This is how inside the app looks like.
Add games to Games
When you want to quickly add games that you have already downloaded but scattered around your home screen, go to the Games app, tap Add games to add games that you’ve downloaded then Select the game that you want to transfer to Games.
NB : Most of the games will be automatically added to the app after downloading.
You can also Tap on [ ⋮ ] > [Add games] > [Select game] > [Done]
Gaming Data
You can get info about how much time you spend on games.
Game captures
Here you can see the screenshot or recording that you've captured while gaming.
Layout
Tap on [ ⋮ ] we have layout changing option for Interface. Have a look!
Games Settings
We have a plenty of options for better gaming experience.
Tap on [ ⋮ ] > Select Settings
Let's see one by one.
◾️General
Game Toolkit
Enable this for Games exclusive toolbar which can be called from the side when you are playing games. It will be displayed in a small window where the user can directly enable screen capture, recording, hang-up, and other related functions.
Move game icons to "Games"
This feature allows user to hide game from home screen and allow game to appear only in Games.
◾️DND
Answer calls on speaker
Calls are automatically answered on the speaker when Game mode is turned on.
Notification style
•Heads-up notifications
•Bullet notifications
•Block
Brightness lock
Auto brightness adjustment is off during gaming.
◾️Performance Enhancement
Vibration enhancement
A cylinder-shaped Z-axis linear motor provides multiple vibration waveforms. It provide subtle and rich vibration for different skills and events in gaming scenarios to deliver wonderful visual-hearing-haptics experience for shooting and MOBA games.
[Supported Games : PUBG, LOL: Wild Rift]
Smart Network Switching
This function can further reduce WLAN delay by using the 4G network. However, this will consume mobile data.
◾️Others
Quick startup
Each time you exit a frequently- played game, it will be kept running in the background so you can launch it faster next time. This will not increase battery consumption. Some games may stop running in the background if an error occurs.
Game focus mode
This feature is mainly for the heavy gamers out there who don’t need any interruption, even Bullet Notifications. This feature allows you to focus on gaming only. If this feature is turned on, the following features shown in the image will be disabled.
Game filters
This feature enhances the quality, texture, and colour of in-game graphics and sharpens the edges of objects, brining design details to previously unseen levels.
Note:- In this thread, I'm using Reno6 Pro 5G. In other OPPO device you can find Games as Game Space.
Hope you guys will enjoy these features. Try it and share your experience in the comment section below.
