Ever since I upgraded my Moto Z Play to Oreo 8.0 I've had issues with notifications coming in up to an hour late and apps downloading to 100% but not installing. I have to close out the app store and reopen for the downloaded app to install.
Tried cache wipes, app caches wipes, factory resets and it works for a little bit but goes back to not installing apps and notification delays.
The only thing that seems to work is disabling the Google app. Only issue with that is I need the Google app to use Android Auto in my car.
Can't find any answers on what the problem is and the latest Google App update from Aug 20 still doesn't solve the issues.
Anyone else experience this?

Google Play randomly locks up my SGS2 running CyanogenMod 7:
Nothing else gives this problem on my phone, and my phone also had this same problem with the old Google Market App. Is there anyone else having the same problem as me, and more importantly does anyone know a fix
you could try clearing the cache, settings-->applications-->manage applications-->select google play and clear cache.
it is a known issue with cwm 7.1 and s2. have a read to the official cwm forum... workaround use appbrain. the issue occurs when you scroll in the market/play app
OK Guys thanks for the pointers.
I'm getting Google PLay FCs all the time!
I don't why my google play is giving continous force closures.removing cache or unistalling update is not working.
No answer here but at least you'll know you are not alone.

I have the T-Mobile HTC One (M7 I believe). It's stock, not rooted and no mods made to it at all.
It's running Android 4.4.3, Sense 6.0, Build 6.10.531.10, Kernal 3.4.10-g40b 189c.
Several days ago, several app services started crashing: com.htc.sense.ime and google app (process gapps) has stopped are the two most frequent, with the latter displaying it's message three times in succession (i.e. after tapping OK, it reappears). Also YouTube and "Get started" frequently crash.
Performing a Google search, I have tried the most common "fixes" posted: clearing the cache for many apps, disabling then re-enabling download manager, reset app preferences, etc.
The issue persists. One poster suggested uninstalling all updates to the play store, which I did, but now I have no play store at all! I have com.android.vendingAssetBrowserAct..., which, when I tap it opens "Google Play", which says, "No Connection". I have no idea how to fix that. And it did not fix my issue anyway!
Today I checked for updates and discovered the Lolipop update (had check for updates turned off). The install on that fails too (I thought maybe it would allow me to install the Play Store).
So I'm leaning on resetting the phone and probably trying that update to Lolipop, but I'm hoping someone might have another suggestion I haven't yet found.
Thanks.
(Edit) Since originally posting this, Google Play Store has apparently re-installed itself (ver. 5.4.12). I had thought perhaps the Lolipop update was failing to install because it needed this app installed, but it's still failing to install despite Play Store now being there.

OK, since it's been about 24 hours and no responses, I'm going to assume this is one of those weird issues that could potentially be any app or service causing it. I have no idea which were the last apps or updates installed, especially since I had to get Google Play Store reinstalled and there apparently is no history to check.
I have not found anything more on the web either. Now I'll try troubleshooting why the system update to Lollipop fails. Later if I'm still not successful, I'll try a factory reset. Dang, this phone has been working great for two years. Weird this is happening!
So the phone has been working fine (mostly). Last night however, an hour or two after I connected it to a charger, I noticed the charge light was out. I tried to wake it and it was dead. Can't reboot, can't turn on.
Left it off the charger all night, but today it's still dead. Connecting to my pc results in a "Can't install driver" error.
I've checked the FAQ in this forum but there's nothing about this issue.
I'm going to do more searching, but If I don't find anything I'll start a new thread about this issue.

Hi,
Yesterday I suddenly started getting some 'Google Play services has stopped' messages but not too bad.
But now pretty much every Google app I open quickly crashes followed by the Google Play services crash.
I'm using CM12.1 with OpenGapps and have been for a while without any problems whatsoever.
Has there been a recent update to Google Play services or something that might problems?
Anyone know how to fix it?!
Cheers!
So it looks like I've fixed my problem with a full wipe and flash.
Still a bit strange since it happened out of the blue after using my phone without any issues for weeks...
At least it's back to normal now though.

Hey there,
I already posted about this issue on Samsung forums, but since nobody could help me there I'm asking here, maybe some of you have an idea.
After just installing the Android P beta over Android O without wiping anything, this problem doesn't occur. Just since doing a full wipe I have this issue:
When installing or updating any app in the PlayStore I don't get a download progress shown in the notifcation panel anymore. Also I don't get notifications about finishing updating apps.
I could read that many OnePlus 6 users had this issue on Android P, but the solutions that worked for them don't work for me.
I tried things like wiping Download-Manager, Google Play Store, Google Play Services, Google Services Framework and even wiping the whole system multiple times, nothing worked.
This issue does not make my device unusable, but still it's very annoying, so I hope someone can help.
Thanks,
Chris
Hi there, I'm having the very same issue, even after updating to February build...
It's worth noting the problem concerns available updates notifications as well.
I reached out to Google Support via the help button in the Play Store app, but they weren't able to provide help (only told me to uninstall play store updates, thus reverting the app to its factory settings, without success).
Hope someone figures this out, it's annoying to have and go check for possible updates.
Since doing everything possible (even wiping system) did not work for me I can't really help you I guess. For me a system update fixed the issue.
Can someone confirm if he is able to update the chrome application on stock miui with bootloader locked, actually i can't.
Strange but every other app is getting updated other than chrome, clicking on update button does nothing.
I am unlcoked, rooted and stock 10.0.8 and still able to get chrome updates. Try force stop google play and lear cache. If still fails, clear data of play store and relogin

Don't you think i would have tried all that, i even tried after factory reset but same thing.
It's happening on poco x2 as well, and tomorrow all of the sudden the app got updated after stucking at waiting for download.
But I'm sure next time it will again stuck on update as it has happened before, i just want to know internally why this bug arises..
Use chrome dev or beta.... chorme having issues on PlayStore clashing with other chrome available with same google developer
It'll take nearly 2 month to fix it(limited employees). Got reply from google support
