Does anyone know how to use a Hard disk with POCOPHONE F1?
Get a Type-C OTG Cable and connect your Portable Hard Disk. Voila
Doesn't work
Well if you do that you'll have to format your Hard Disk

Hy,
Is there real that the Prime don't accept 2.5 hard disk on the USB port of the dock?
I still don't have the prime but I know some of these disks need more power than the defined on the USB standard, so if the usb connector doesn't give that extra power the disk won't work, though I don't know if it's a hardware or a software limitation (in that case a custom kernel could solve the problem).
i'll let you know when i get my dock, but iirc it worked fine on my tf101...
Hi,
you are able to use 2,5" HDD in Fat and Fat32...
Try out NTFS now.
Edit: I'm able to use a 2,5" HDD in Fat32 and my 8GB USB Stick with NTFS. So I think it is also possible to use a 2,5" HDD with NTFS
I had no problems with my Western Digital.
My 1TB My Passport USB 3.0 formatted NTFS runs just fine off of the dock.
ok thanks i'm happy to see that the usb port of the dock is good working
for the 2.5 hard drive in ntfs, it's a good new !
Hi everyone,
Does anyone have the SGP-UC3 USB Host Adapter Cable for Xperia™ Tablet S? I know it will allow the connection of cameras, flash drives and maybe other usb devices.
I tried with a USB hard drive but I guess the drive needs too much power to work!
Does anyone know if 64gb and 128gb flash drives work with this cable and the Xperia S Tablet?
I am also wondering what other USB devices Xperia Tablet Owners have used?
Thanks!
Ofiaich
So I have the adapter and use this to camera, to connect USB sticks and push data back and forth. I have also rooted in the mode under R5 can also use a UMTS module stick Recommended such an adapter .. PTP is supported, FAT32, FAT16, exFAT ---- think unfortunately no NTFS that is only rooted in the mode with an app ..
mmmm.
See, I decided to buy 1 or 2TB of external Hard Drive for my Z2...
So the question is, does my device get affected badly if the drive is 90% full?
And is it risky to access an External Hard Drive with phone via OTG...?

It is not recommended to use such high capacity drives with OTG for long time or not at all because the micro Usb cannot supply enough power to the such large hard drives
Yeah my Z2 can't use my Samsung USB 3.0 1TB USB hard drive, it works on my externally powered drive, but I think there may be an upper limit on external storage size that a phone can handle to take into consideration as well.
As mentioned above, I've also had problems with a 2tb drive but with a flash drive works perfect and instant

Please forgive my English. To use a hard disk 2.5 the USB Hub it should be powered, or its not necessary? My idea is a inateck HB4003 with a hard drive of 1TB 2.5. A 32GB USB memory and wireless keyboard and mouse. It's correct?
Thanks!

I just did this actually, I'm using a powered hub, and I have it connected to a powered hard drive dock, you need root and the app stickmount by chainfire,
orrr you need to flash the nexus player data2USB boot image by dees_troy, which supposedly will make the nexus act more like they're internal storage, but I haven't tried it yet

I tried to attach a 2.5' hard disk (250G) to a powered USB Hub and it worked.
Apart from that, I also inserted in the hub: a 32gb usb stick + wireless mouse & keyboard and everything worked.
I tried to connect the 2.5' hard disk directly to the nexus player with only a simple OTG usb cable and it worked, it powered on! It seems that the nexus player delivers enough power to keep a 2.5' hard disk running.
The usb hub is: AmazonBasics USB-3.0-Hub with 4 Ports

Good news. But the inateck HB4003 have ethernet connection. And i am interested in this. I think probably work all (hdd, 32gb memory, wireless mouse and ethernet connection) but I worry that the power is insufficient.
What do you think about this hub?
Aukey SuperSpeed 7-Port USB 3.0 HUB
More expensive, but powered, whit 7 ports and ethernet connection.

As you already know, the inateck-hb4003 works and is tested:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nex...ateck-hb4003-gigabit-ethernet-3-port-t3052322
But I don't see it having external power, so that could be an issue with power hungry devices.
For example, my Amazon basics does NOT power on the external hdd without it's power supply in the wall, so..
About the Aukey, I don't know what to say. Try only the one WITH power supply.
I always try to use something tested and reviewed, it's better than sending products back etc..
If you buy it please post a review for the community.
Cheers.
I bought a type C to micro USB Adapter. I cannot use it for accessing my pendrive. I use Mi A3. What's wrong?

The adapter can only charge the device but not carry data.
Some adapters can but are probably more expensive
