Unofficial AICP-Mordiford
Your warranty is now void. We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war or you get fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.
Credits:
In the beginning, we would like to thank: AICP-mordiford for Project Treble. Then the teams of LineageOS, OmniRom, DU, SlimRoms, Resurrection Remix and AICP.
Special mention to @LorD ClockaN, @zipsnet, @eyosen, @semdoc, @Drgravy, @Hashbang173, @SpiritCroc, @wartomato, @eboye, @maxwen.

It is strongly recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
Issues:
So called "Technicolor" bug when moving into or out dark mode, or when using Substratum themes, when icons and the screen got weird colors effects and stripes. Generally, you could boot into recovery and wipe Dalvik/Cache.
Sometimes, you need two cycles of booting and wiping Dalvik. This is a bug that is currently affecting almost all Treble ROMs.

Supported Devices: all Project Treble enabled devices should work. Some are listed here.
Please, do not post bugs/issues at the official AICP Communities because this is unofficial build.

Ok, now I understand. Sorry if I looked bitter, it was not my intention. Right now, AICP team is studying if we can (or cannot) go further with it. If we can or we move to official AICP, we can consider doing it. As each system file needs to be individually built, it is just the matter of having more hours available to compile.

No problem man... Im so long here on XDA and i used to all kind of behavior. ? Sorry if i asked wrong question in wrong time. I'm not in a hurry and I'm not asking for any ETA, just take your time.
I used AICP on my previous devices and I got excited when i saw new thread and AICP GSI because i always got really good experience with it in the past.

Like you, I hope I get the green light to go further with AICP. If now, I'll have to drop. I don't have any other GSI ROM that is currently working in my phone, so I decided to compile. I made almost 10 tests - RR, AEX, AOSP, Carbon, crDroid, etc. - and could only manage to build AICP.

Good luck ?
Hi,
the current status is *not* that we prohibit unofficial builds nor GSI builds.
Adding them to official is a nice thought.
The problem is the unofficial mordiford branch and that calling it AICP might make users come to our mentioned communits, Gerrit, etc. or looking at our sources that are not mordiford's one.
Just give us some time to sort things out internally please.

Yes. Mordiford is not AICP.
It is an independent project using or based on AICP sources.

DISCLAIMER: I AM IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PROBLEMS ON YOUR DEVICES CAUSED BY FLASHING THESE BUILDS. THE UPSTREAM CODE AND BUILDING IS MAINTAINED BY THE CYANOGENMOD TEAM, NOT ME. I AM NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THEIR TEAM, I AM JUST THE THREAD OWNER.
It was a fun round of unofficial nightlies but the official upstream CM13 builder for shamu is active! Please use the new download links below to grab the official nightlies. Dirty flash seems to work fine if you go from my unofficial 11-29 build to the official 11-30 one. As mentioned in the first post, I will be ceasing my personal builds for now and leave it to the CM team.
Notes: CyanogenMod's stock kernel forces encryption of storage. Please download one of the third party kernels if you wish to avoid this. Also this thread assumes you have kept up to date with bootloaders and radio. At the time of writing, the latest is from the MRA58K release and can be downloaded here.

I would like to say thank you, and I believe that this ROM deserves its own thread respectfully. Since there isn't much action from that other Alpha build and if you are truly building on a nightly basis then this is much appreciated and I look forward to testing.

Thanks for the support and glad to build it. Just to make sure credit is given where due, any bug fixes will be made only by the CyanogenMod team and/or any git contributors. Not sure if you'll get much support from me either but I'll certainly be glad to give any tips I find. For example, if this one specific bug rears its ugly head again, you may need to rename the SetupWizard apk inside /system/app-priv/ as that has been constantly force closing for me prior to today's build.

No features added whatsoever If they add it upstream (included in CM) it'll be here, otherwise no. Absolutely stock. Consider me a third party buildbot slave
Very nice ROM. Just to let everyone know I just finished flashing with the Open GApps Pico and it's working fine. I know, it's bad form to use something that's not recommended.
One quick question, do we get any notification that the new nightly is ready to flash or do we just check the download site?

For now just the download site. I may setup something similar to the pushbullet feed Chroma has if people are interested but haven't spent the time to do it yet. New 11-23 build is up now though
Edit: Woot, looks like they fixed the system rw mounting. Hm but my test file disappeared on reboot.. maybe not yet

I'am sorry for my bad formulation. I only wanted to ask why you starting to put more efforts in cm 12.1, if everyone waits for cm13.
It wasn't my Intention to be rude or ungrateful relating to your hard work on this project.

Mhh... i am a little bit surprised, that you guys starting this project with cm 12.1 and not directly with cm 13.
Is there a reason for this?

Yes, there is reason. I don't have to tell you how rude this sounds. Enjoy the ROM and wait.

You got to remember out tablet shipped with Jellybean (4.3). It's old. We wanted to get official CM support ASAP and we had a stable cm-12.1 base. So we thought, why not get nighties going while we can. CM 13 (android 6.0) is putting up a bit of a fight right now. Once we get even a semi-stable build we will release it.
@all
Nightlies begin tonight
Enjoy and once again thanks to all the people mentioned in section post!
Shawn
Ok, i think i understand the difference. Now an official cyanogenmod Team also supporting our Rom. That sounds really good. If they could manage it, that screen mirroring will work stable on our device, i will definitively change back from touchwiz 5.1.1 rom to cm 12.1. Thanks for it.
The download is only 6mb. Is it a delta, and can it be flashed on top of Temasek's current build?
Sent from my SM-P600 using Tapatalk
Apparently the wiki was deleted. Also, flashing this won't replace twrp with the cm recovery right?

Seems to be just a 'recovery'

There are actually two downloads. One is the build and the other is the recovery. The checksums are good on both, but the full builds are normally around 200 + mb and the deltas were around 50ish mb. I'm just curious as to whether or not the upload completed.

Two big developpers for our Le Pro 3
I'm sooooooo happy !!!
Welcome!! Hope the other guys working on the cm13 roms jump onboard as well. I think some of the problems you called out have already been solved by team superluminal: https://github.com/ekkilm/Slim6_device_le_le_zl1. I believe ir, cdla headphones work on that device tree.
What's new with twrp 3.0.3? I think most of us are using the Chinese modified 3.0.2, only problem i noticed was the intermittent flicker.
Things are about to go down. Seriously glad I sold off the Honor 8 in favor of this beast.

Avoid modified recoveries, it's a fundamental part of the device that needs to stay as close as possible to upstream TWRP, modifications on it just sh** it up.

Yikes are you hosting the twrp img off your home computer? I'm getting like 10k, reminds me of the 14.4 baud days . If you don't mind I'll post a link to mega or something when I get it downloaded, about an hour from now at this pace

What do you mean? I just flashed it from fastboot (fastboot flash recovery twrpimage.img) and it seems to work fine. No more flicker, and seems solid!
I haven't backed up or restored anything yet.

Yes no flicker, try to install and see if you can locate the files on your sdcard and each time I reboot to TWRP it always asking to swipe to modify system even that has already been done. By the way are on stock X727? Cos am on stock ROM.

Nice job
keep do it guys
First off, I(we) appreciate all of your hard work to continue developing roms that make our phone worth owning!
I just had a general question. I'm assuming most/all the drivers are closed source, and that creates the ongoing issues with getting device components to work with the OS.
What is the strategy in this situation? Do you guys try to create some kind of wrapper or Just "brute force" other drivers to see if they work?

Stealing as much as possible from Oneplus 3.
For everything else its pure wrapping/shimming/hacking. Like camera.
Kernel got completely rebased on top of the oreo sources from codeaurora. Took me quite some time.

Oreo is pretty different under the hood because of project treble. You can wrap/shim some n blobs but thats hacky.
