Long story short, recently my earphone didn't make any sound when i play anything that is media volume related ( Music, Games, Youtube... didn't make any sound ), but i can still hear ringer sounds when changing the volume. Later i found that, the only way to make the earphone sounds is to change the ringer volume once so the phone can make a "bing" sound before playing any media, but if the media pauses for awhile, the problem will happen again.
I have tried to find the problem online : SoundAbout doesn't work, clearing cache isn't working either. What should i do now? I'm on Marshmallow 6.0.1

The problem is no matter I use the original music player or another software like PowerAMP. when I receive a phone call or msg the music will disconnected from headphones and plays in phone speaker for a short time... I mean its not the notification sound but the music I am listening to...
anybody has the same problem?
Hello Guys. Someone could help me? My touchpad (classicnerd) plays music in the speaker but in headphones no . I booted in webOS and it played fine. Anyone with is problem?

What are you trying to listen to and which build are you using? I just tested my headphones with Classicnerd-Butta-0.1.0-v2.1-Odex and it seems to be working here. I have system volume as well as Google Music volume coming through loud and clear.
Im trying to listen some regular MP3, and I have Classicnerd-Butta-0.1.0 installed. I installed google music as well. The sound plays fine in the speakers but in headphones it doesnt play at all.
If you reboot with the headphones plugged in, you should get sound in them. (When I did that, it was way too loud, so be a little careful.)
I also found that if I unplugged the headphones, the sound went correctly to the device speakers, but plugging the phones back in returned to the "no sound in phones" state.
This is a known problem. Hopefully it will be better in the public release.
ive seen a few of these on the forum and all over google but theres not been ONE complete solution.
when my headset/headphones are plugged in.. there should be NO sound emitted from the loudspeaker... i get my notification via the loudspeaker and my headphones...
i know if i turn on vibrate it will not play through loudspeaker but i also want the notification to play through the headset? and do not need to remember to turn my phone on vibrate everytime i plug in a headset...
any one have any ideas?
using resurrection remix 2.2, (same with stock)
surely there is a way to tell the system to play all media through headset if when on vibrate the speaker is off and media is playing through headphones

cmon theres gotta be a solution.. i mean if takser can make a notification play through the media stream.... should all notifactions be able to map them to the media stream so it plays in headphones???
got a temporary solution, got takser to put phone to vibrate and play a different tone when in headset through media stream. havent set up calling yet.
Can you try a Volume App. I forgot the name of the app before I that use to manually adjust the volume either for Headphone or External.
So I got the Kate version of this phone for a couple of months and I really like it. But today, it stopped playing sound from the back speaker when using media apps like Spotify and Youtube. If I plug in my headphones, it works just fine though.
Here is the fun part: If I start a song on spotify, go into settings>sound and change the volume for the notification with the slider, the sound of the notification is played from the speaker as the volume is adjusted. When the sound has played, it resumes playing the sound from spotify. But when the song ends (and another one begins) or I skip to the next song, the sound is gone again. As I am running custom rom(Aosp Extended), I'd thought it was just some weird bug. I did a complete reflash of another rom, Pure Nexus, but I still have the same problem. What could be causing this!? I have never experienced this with any other phone. At first I thought the speaker was broken, but it does seem to work. I still get notification and ringtone sound if I get a text or somebody calls me.

Hi everyone at some point yesterday my phone decided to stop playing sound from its built in speaker on certain apps (youtube, phonograph music player, facebook) it also doesnt make a sound when i connect/ disconnect my charger but it still puts out sound when i have an incoming call so the speaker still works. Im guessing its a software problem. Has anyone had this same issue ? Any idea how to solve it ?
