Others may know about this already but I had trouble finding it so I thought I should post it for everyone. The pandaboard binary and source is available for download at the locations below. I have switched out a system app and it works with some added functionality where other builds did not (wpa_supplicant).

Hi. Before anything, I don't speak english, so sorry about grammatical mistakes. I have a tv box Mini Mx (Amlogic S905x A53 cpu; penta core mali 450 gpu; 2 Gb ddr3; 16 Gb eMMC flash, Android 6.0, rooted device) and i'm trying to connect the video output to a normal pc monitor, one LG 19M35 1366x768 native resolution. The default hdmi resolution is 1920x1080, so i change the resolution to 1366x768 with Adb command line (Developer options and usb debugging is already enable). Then i connect the monitor and works. The thing is that display quality isn´t the optimal, it look blurry. I try with another monitor, one with 1440x900 native resolution, and the same thing. Then I set the resolution to 720 (1280x720) and the same thing, blurry. And frankly some apps can not run properly.
So, I am suspecting that the device REAL resolution is still 1920x1280, and somehow is displaying a virtual/logical resolution.

I don't know the full details but when the SoC goes into suspend, it shuts down most of its functions and only operates at a very low level from bl30. One of the things it does monitor in this state is the IR receiver.
If you look in the uboot source code directory in uboot/board/amlogic/configs/gxl_p212_v1.h, you'll find some defines for CONFIG_IR_REMOTE_POWER_UP_KEY_VAL*. These define the IR remote codes that can wakeup the SoC from suspend mode.
I've tried setting these defines but I still wasn't able to wakeup my p212 device from suspend mode so there must be something more needed for this to work.

might be possible. All Android partitions are visible and mountable in linux. I guess you can't make changes to system partition, as android has protections in place that will revert previous system state, but I'm sure there are ways around it.
did a stupid thing, after Oreo update on my MiBox S MDZ 22 AB everything went down, wifi connection drops in every 10 seconds, so I used a version of android from a MDZ-16 on a stick and tried to flash on a tutorial found on the web. It started to flash for a few seconds and total brick!
Now when I plug it, have no signal on hdmi, no led on front, nothing. (
Can I restore the life in the box or no? Is it totally lost?
Are there any test points for MDZ 22 AB?

You can successfuly boot any s905x image from yadi.sk that uses same kernel version. some of them have kodi preinstalled, but drivers for wifi and sound do not work, so it's not very practical.

all information on mdz-16-ab is also applicable to mdz-22-ab, as those boxes are very simmilar.

MDZ-22 ab crashed
Hello togehter,
I new in the rforum and need support.
I think I crashed mz mdy-22ab bz upadting new version via USB, since this i cannot enter reoverz mode.
I followed the describtion to enter via UART and Putty and got the following.
Due the fact that i am not an expert i don^t know wht the puttz.log means.
Maybe some experts in the forum can help me.
