Hello! I was having issues with my SGII since I lost my IMEI and I struggled to recover it You can check my story here.
Now I have mi IMEI but my phone is network locked. I tried to unlock it with Galaxy S Unlock but it didn't work.
Tried with GalaxSIM and after reboot it says is unlocked BUT my IMEI is lost and obviously my phone doesn't recognizes my SIM card.
I'm on Android 4.1.2
Build Number:JZ054K.I9100XWLSE
Kernel:3.0.31-Siyah-s2-v6.0b4
Baseband: I9100XXLS8
If my EFS folder is corrupted shouldn't I lost my IMEI?
Why I lose my IMEI after attempting to network unlock my phone?
Here are some images.
First everything is normal, I have my IMEI and stuff...
Unblock successful!!!
But after reboot, my IMEI is lost
And so my signal...
Thank you!

I don't have warranty anymore.
I'm currently traveling ( in other continent for 3 months ).
I don't have my ticket purchase with me.
To trigger this IMEI problem I have to attempt to unlock the phone... so I need to root, reset the binary counter, and then re-flash the original firm, after that binary counter won't be zero.
Hello every body ...
after i did JTAG to my Verizon S4, my mobile IMEI became 0 , how can i have IMEI back again
waiting for your ideas
Hi
I have an S2 GT-i9100 that someone gave me after they deleted the EFS folder from without taking a backup.
None of these fixes seem to work for me. I have IMEI unknown, IMEI SV unknown, Baseband is unknown, Network is unknown and the service menu displays no options. LOL!
Where the signal bars should be is a circle with a diagonal line through it.
I have rooted it, flashed several stock firmwares with Odin with no change.
I have an EFS backup from an old S2 (same model) that was water damaged beyond repair and thrown away. Is it possible to put that IMEI on this phone? I have tried copying it and going through this process detailed here and it completes fine but doesn't make a sausage of difference, even after reboot.
Any ideas or is it shagged?
I thought if the EFS folder was deleted the IMEI reverted to the Samsung default IMEI? When I dial the #06 all it says is "IMEI" in large letters.
Oh deary deary....

ignore this post! Someone took out the baseband chip. Well that was a waste of 3 hours!
My IMEI has changed and I don't know what has happened. Here's what I have done:
1. Bought a used S3, 9300 international with cracked screen.
2. Changed the screen
3. Tried a call. Worked fine, but the proximity sensor did not work.
4. Did Method 2 on this page: http://www.androidlegend.com/how-to-perform-proximity-sensor-calibration-on-any-samsung-phone/
5. Since the phone now was rooted, I reflashed it but I picked the wrong firmware on sammobil, picked TEN instead of NEE. Both are used in Norway.
6. Went through the wizard, but could not get registered on the network.
7. Reflashed, correctly with NEE this time. Thought that the firmware was to blame. No change.
8. Checked the IMEI and it is a completely different number than what is under the battery.
The IMEI which is under settings reports as a "Digiphone" on imei.info.
What has happened? How can my imei change like that? I did not check the imei before I did method 2 in the link above, but at that time the phone was working.
Is there any way to reset the imei number? This is just the strangest thing
I have searched and searched today and I am none the wizer... All the threads I find describes an imei problem with 0000 or 0049 imei, mine has become a totally different number. I have absolutely no idea what has happened.
Is this phone to be considered broken?
I have flashed several original firmwares today, both 4.3 and 4.12, but none of them makes my original imei come back.

It doesnt depend on what system your running, that wont change your imei.
if you still know the original imei, there is a way to change your imei via terminal, i just cant remember anymore how...

I have pretty much given up. I have found several solutions if I had a Qualcomm chip, my my phone has Exynos. I am going to order a new motherboard on ebay.
But can someone help me to understand what happened? I bought a working used phone. It was working and I could make calls. I noticed that the phone's state was "modified". It had probably been rooted. I did not check the imei. I did a repair on the proximity sensor through adb. I did this:
adb shell
su
cat /sys/devices/virtual/sensors/proximity_sensor/prox_cal
cat /sys/devices/virtual/sensors/proximity_sensor/state
echo -en $ '\x0' > /efs/prox_cal
chown system:system /efs/prox_cal
chmod 644 /efs/prox_cal
sync
reboot
After that I flashed a new firmware from sammobile, 4.3.
Now I cannot register to network. I checked the imei, and saw that the phone has a different imei that what is printed on the phone.
My imei is now: 3586*******6816
My original imei is: 3538*******4919
All posts I have found regarding faulty imei has the 0049 imei or 0000. I have completely different number.
I do not understand what has happned. If the phone had the 6816 imei before I did anything, how could it have worked when it does not now? Could the previous owner have done something illegal to make it work, since it was rooted?
I have concluded that this phone is lost, but I would really like to know what on earth happened to it?

I think you have to send your phone to a repair, in order to change it to original IMEI, thanks.
TLDR:
No root access
bootloader locked
FRP unlocked
KIW-L24
Phone IMEI = 0
Dialer code for product ID retun blank page
Dialer code for imei returns 0
SN in settings = 0123456789ABCDEF
Have original box with imei and SN
Phone can still make calls and text
Can anyone generate a product ID for bootloader unlock in ADB?
Never restore efs
