Camera focus - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

I'm on eui 5.9.030s by CBG. Previously I was on eui 6 nougat but due to camera focus and volte issue I reverted back to 30s. But still my camera doesn't focus in this rom. I've wiped, flashed OTA, etc. But nothing works. Please help me.

I faced the same problem, I lose the focus in the camera. I just back to CN-28s-V12-Stable. It was solved, he provides a kernel to solve the camera issue. PM if you have any Q.

If u ask into telegram groups u can check if in another android version is possible to install a specific fix

Heyyo, i've seen from others where focus constantly vibrates it is definitely a hardware issue. I have seen users can sometimes temporarily fix it by doing a chopping motion with the phone when it attempts to autofocus...
Otherwise? Definitely, you will need to replace the camera module for a permanent fix.

Idk if it's hardware problem but camera is wierd. It focuses nearby objects like from 15-20cm distance. But distance photos are blur. But if I cover the camera with my hand for a sec then it focuses long distance too until it auto focuses (which blur the image again).

[Q]Upside down camera on some apps

Hi all,
Some camera applications like google goggles is now showing images upside down. I am using the rom from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1446774.
Anyone having this same problem? Is there a solution for this?
Thanks in advance!
Sorry still a newbie, can't post on development thread.
Regards.
Yes, this is some sorta bug with these devices.
Btw, with Google talk, on the receiving end the image appears right side up, even though it is upside down for you.
I have just noticed this problem. It seems to be affecting some camera apps but not all. Not much clue on the cause of the problem. e.g. Camera Zoom FX, Angel Camera and the default camera seems to work but Vignette doesn't.
yes also mytubo and google+ hangouts.. i wish someone can fix this and also the compass

The rom you are using is essentially stock plus a custom kernel. Let me backtrack and see if this is due to the use of the custom kernel. If yes, it is probably a driver problem and we can report to the kernel thread.
It also sometimes appear with Skype on my device, with the back camera (yp-GB70 with GB.KRKPH). I thought it had something to do with rotation of the screen?
Just retry stock rom (XXKPF), the image is also upside down in some apps. Anybody else have similar problem on stock rom? If it happens only in some apps, I suspect that it is much likely that it is a problem of the app.
When I google about this kind of problem, I can see many apps often have up-side down image on their bug list (fixed or not fixed) for different kinds of devices.

Hey, just messing with google+, and I can't find anywhere to start a hangout! Help?
Ah, nvm, I see you need to be over 18 to use hangout.
(Why did I ever tell google my real age?? Epic facepalm!)
I had the same problem. But with the latest update via kies, the problem disappears. Even with a custom rom. For example, I 'm using rj's kernel, and with the latest stock rom, the upside down camera problem is gone.

camera not working, it's showing camera is used on another application

When I open rear camera, it's showing camera is used on another application, is there any possible way to solve this. I tried clear camera data and used safe mode also, but nothing work, this problem happening after the update to marshmallows. Plz help me if u can.
The same thing happens to me, it's an E2303 with 26.3.a.1.33 .
Using the google camera gives the same error, but less.
Yeah, does anyone know how to fix this? I have gotten this problem since the marshmallow patch.

camera wont focus on objects firther away

Hello guys,
i hope it isnt a duplicate since there seem to be many different camera issues with this device. (eg the clicking focus bug some other people have)
For me, the camera focuses fine for macro images, but as soon as i get further away, it seems all blurry.
This continues n o matter which rom i used (Revenge OS Pie(focusfix enabled), AOSP Pie(focusfix enabled), cuoco92 eui 5.9, EUI 6.0.2)
I read of this bug as a nougat issue, but for me for eui based and pie roms the bug continues.
I honestly only want a rom with okayish battery backup and working camera.
any suggestions?
Thank You!
Well my friend that seems to be a hardware issue with the camera, probably the camera module for focusing has died, that's why it focuese only at certain distance. I had the same issue, tired every possible ROM or focus fix.... the only way to fix this is to buy a new camera from aliexpress or such store, and replace it. After that it works flawlessly.

Camera and flash/flashlight (torch) not working and NOTHING changes this

So I'm really tearing my hair out over this.
A short while ago, Gcam stopped working, and the flashlight or torch option stopped working. Other people have reported this issue, with various fixes suggested. One was to flash the latest vendor firmware, which I did. Didn't work. Another one was to flash a Gcam fix by PixeL from the BSG Gcam port thread. Didn't work. I thought maybe it was an issue with Pixel Experience, so I flashed LOS. Now the camera worked, but only in certain modes and the flashlight/torch icon was still grayed out. Third party flashlight/torch apps still said it couldn't access the flashlight. I've even now tried a full, complete wipe of *everything* including internal storage and installed the latest MIUI beta and vendor from scratch. Nothing. Flashlight grayed out and camera only works in certain modes (if I go to slow-motion, for instance, it crashes and loses access to the camera).
This is so frustrating. Please, anyone, help. There are other people who have had this same issue, but all of them were able to find a way to fix it through flashing those fixes or whatever else. It's not working for me and it's making my experience with the phone really frustrating.
I Have been Facing Same Issue Since The Last Global Stable update
It Happens every once in a While But some reboots fixes the problem but since yesterday I Am not able to use the primary 12mp camera . I did reboot my device many time to get it working but nothing works now..... Did You Get Your Camera Working ?? Neither slow motion mode working nor portrait.... Slow motion mode instantly crashes the camera app and portrait mode gives the error of can't connect to camera.... If your Camera is working now please suggest the way to fix it it's really frustrating

For once download the fastboot rom of miui and flash it. FASTBOOT ROM. Can be both stable or beta but must be fastboot. Do not use twrp etc to flash.
USE MIFLASH TO FLASH THE FASTBOOT ROM.
Just use fastboot rom. If it still doesn't work, then it's probably a hardware issue.

Actually it's not a software related issue ....in my case i got the camera sensor replaced by the service center under warranty which fixed my problem since then it's working fine... it's a hardware related issue ...so if you're camera switched to secondary camera and crashes on slow motion and portrait mode and also greyed out flash then none of the flashing tricks will work.
Have a Nice Day

Camera bug after android 10 update?

Hi, i wanted to ask if anyone is having a similar bug like mine after getting the android 10 update (i am on europe rom).
What the problem is, every time i try to take a picture of something using the flashlight, and focusing on something, the picture comes out so dark. If i use the "torch" mode the pic comes out normal. I'll attach two pictures down below, one with the flashlight on (firing just when taking the pic) and one with the torch which is so much brighter and you can tell the difference.
It seems a timing error. Whether the flashlight flashes light before the picture is captured or after the picture is captured. Try using a different camera app or reset the phone.

Yeah i noticed that too, it only happens on the stock cam app. The flash seems to fire a bit early but i dunno if there's a fix for that or if i can replace my cam app with an older or newer cam so that bug can be fixed
I updated to the last available version with android 10 (europe), the stock app with automatic flash works as expected.
But I use usually the open source camera -> open camera.
Maybe reset the camera app or try open camera ?
I've been having camera issues lately after the update too mine are a little worse though. The quality has reduced severely and it seems worse with hdr on.

So apparently it's not just me, have you tried doing a factory reset after the update? I plan to do that but I'm so lazy and i dunno if it's even gonna work ? so for now our chance is just wait for miui 12 maybe the new cam app will get it all fixed

I have not updated yet. Reason:
I installed orangefox recovery and removed some system apps. And now when I receive update, the update file downloads but does not install. I may flash fastboot rom, but I am still considering to continue using unbloated MIUI 11.
Anyway, if it is a common problem it will be fixed very soon. Because when it is common a large group of device is affected. So a fix update will/may release fast. I remember xperia p had same problem. It was fixed by an update.
Oh i really hope so, this is really annoying anyways

Other than the camera bug, I'm pleased with the new update. My phone does seem to perform a little better than before.
