RN5 + PS2 controller + PS2 to USB adapter + OTG adapter = FAIL - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 / 5 Plus Questions & Answers

Hi,
I was trying to connect my PlayStation 2 controller with PS2 to USB adapter and OTG cable, but it seems that my Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 can't recognize it.
Everything works fine on my brother's Samsung J7 though, I tried to play Crash Team Racing and it works flawlessly.
I have Android 8.1.0 and MIUI Global 9.6.0 and he has Android 7.0
Did anyone try this? Is there any solution? What could be the problem? Is it Android version? Hardware? Or something with the drivers?
Thanks in advance!

Playstation Controller to USB Adaptor

I have the following adaptor:

It works fine with my phone (Galaxy S3 GT-I9300)
But I cannot get it to work with my Android media player (Minix NEO X8-H Plus)
I'm looking for any help to get the adaptor working on my media player.
While I wait for a reply I've been trying to resolve this myself.
I've tried chainfire's USB Host Diagnostic on both my phone and the media player, both gave the same result that they support USB Host:

Is there any other software that can diagnose/fix the issue?
Alternatively is there any other way of connecting 2 controllers to an android device that I can try?

USB audio hub

Hello there!
Has anyone got a USB c hub with 3.5 Jack (or the Jack to mini USB c that comes with the phone) input to work on le Max 2? What I want to try here is maybe charge and/ or using a USB controller input and an audio output at they same time. (E. g. MIDI+audio, xbox360 controller+audio...). If no one has tried this, may It be possible messing in some way with USB ports in a Linux type terminal? Thanks for any reply.
I've tried a couple of splitters like this to allow charging and headphones, but they don't work to charge the phone.

I've been trying with a urgreen hub but no joy so far. Don't know if I'm doing something wrong or it's not possible.
I've not tried using any adaptors but unfortunately dont think its possible on our device. I believe it needs to be a USB c 3.1 port whereas ours is 2.0.
