I didn't have to pay any customs duty i told the seller to price it as a 60$ phone in bill and mark as gift item.

Bestbuy also will price match AT&T.

If you aren't getting the phone on subsidy, I'd get the 64 GB dev edition. 50 bucks more than the Google edition but twice the space and I'm sure whatever firmware that comes out for the google phone will be made available to the Sense based one

besides getting updates faster is there a reason to pick the nexus over the dev edition? i think both are 64gb... but i dont really care about that... (normally use like 2gb on the past phones)

be careful with samsung aftermarket/replacement headsets, the 2 i bought in the past(different models) had noticably worse sound quality than the pack-in versions despite having identical design.
although this was pre-AKG, so it might be better now.
