Hey,
I own a mediapad m5 10.8 and just bought a honor view 10 phone.
The honor comes with a supercharge charger. When i try to charge the m5 with this charger it doesnt fast charge, i dont have the double lightnings displayed. I assumed a supercharge charger can fastcharge the m5, but apparently not.
I tried with both m5 and honor v10 stock cables.
Is it right to say that supercharge chargers cant fast charge the m5 ? Am i missing something obvious.
Is there a charger that can fastcharge the m5 and supercharge the honor v10 ?
Thanks for your answers
Why should your 3rd party charger enable something which is not soled by Huawei as a feature?
The Tablet might charge a bit faster, but for fast charge you need logic in the charger and the device to not blow up the accumulator
Gesendet von meinem HTC U11 life mit Tapatalk
Because the are 3rd party chargers that support qualcomm quickcharge and huawei supercharge. Why not support both huawei super charge and huawei fastcharge ?
And as far as i understand the m5 fastcharge is sort of huawei customed quicharge 2.0.

Not really as huawei supercharged can be seen as a custom charge mode and yet 3rd party supports it. Thats why i am asking if the communtiy is aware of such product.
Honor made a charger you want.
Supports:
9v 2a (18W) that's quick charge for your tablet
4.5v 5a (22.5W) that's supercharge for your phone
Both quick charge and supercharg occupie same USB port (the purple one).
Another two USBs are just standard 5v 2a.
Another solution is to buy any Power Delivery charger, it won't do supercharge at 22.5W but will quick charge both phone and tablet at 9v 2a (18W)

I have an M5 and a P20 Pro, and the supercharge charger and cable don't charge the M5 at all. When the M5 charging cable is connected to the supercharger, it charges at normal speed. So it appears there is something in the cables an circuitry which determines what speed to charge at. I also bought a standard Huawei charger from ebay ant it charges both devices at standard speed.

Combination of P20 Pro supercharger and original purple cable should charge M5 at a normal speed, this is how it happens with mine. Superchargers don't support 9V2A fast charge that original M5 charger outputs. That Honor charger that I posted picture of earlier does all types of Huawei charging with purple cable, standard, fast and super.

The port is backwards compatible so it fast charges at the 2.0 that the s8 supports..

I think S8 is only QC 2.0....might be wrong on that. But if true, most QC 3.0 chargers support the 2.0 and 1.0 so you're covered either way with QC chargers

Got this one when I had my S7 and it works great. Works great with my S8 as well.
Have anyone tried this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B019...ar+charger&dpPl=1&dpID=41a0w8bG80L&ref=plSrch
I got the 3.0 fast charger from Choetech with dual USB ports. It cost me 15.99 on Amazon and it works great!
I can confirm the Anker 3.0 Quick Charge 42W works perfectly. Charges 1 S8 at Fast Charge rate and another at Quick Charge rate without any charger overheating.
Your choice in cable quality is also very important when it comes to charging speed and heat reduction. I use Aukey for 3' lengths and Anker PowerLine+ for 6' lengths with no problems at all. Anker can be a little pricey compared to other brands but I have never had a problem with one of their a/c blocks or 12vdc adapters, and thier warranty for usb cables is great.
I've been using this Anker charger all week after my old one that used to fast charge my S7 started to overheat. No problems so far.
Great feedback. Got me AUKEY dual car charger with QC 3.0
I'm using the official one (EP-LN930CBEGWW) and it does fast charge my S8+ as advertised

I have the one which I bought like an year ago. It can with micro USB cable.
My S8+ says fast charging, but doesn't. 30 minutes later still only 20-30%, even though it says 1:20 total charge time from empty on the screen. On the S7, 30% would be at 50-70% charge.
Does it support Quick Charge 2.0/3.0?
Based on the specifications off the Chinese website, supports only 5v/2a. Not sure hardware, software or licensing limitation.

I have bought a MiPad 4 (3+32).
If the QC3.0 charger is used, it will only up to about 12W. It still needs 2.5 hours.
The tablet does support QC 3.0 but the included brick does not.

Do you have any device that would measure the voltage and amperage??
It would be great to get the actual reading...
I have one Mi Pad 4 (3Gb/32Gb Wi-Fi) and with the battery at 20%, charging in a QC3.0 port, with the screen off it went to 1.85Ah at 5.05V. It was around 9Wh. So i can tell that it probably will go to 10Wh maximum and so it has probably only support for QC2.0.
I used a UGreen wall dual charger (one port QC3.0, the other is 2.4Ah) and the cable also a UGreen nylon that supports fast charge. They are found very easily in ebay and I strongly recommend this brand for charging (value/quality). For measuring I also used a very common usb tester that goes up to 5.1Ah/30V found also in ebay.
I can tell that with that same charger and cable, my Le Max 2 goes to a maximum of 24Wh(!) (around 8V/3Ah) when it was around 10-20% battery. So I can tell that the charger is at least outputing that power.
I confirm that no matter if used original charger or QC3 from Mi6 it can't charge 2-100% faster than 3 hours (usually 3h20m). Besides it doesn't show any notification about fast charging so this function must be locked.
IMO this is the biggest flaw in this tablet and I hope Xiaomi will do the same like with its Mi A1. The phone was released without the QC support, but it got unlocked with the Oreo update.
Xiaomi AD07ZM charger show 5V / 1.9A on USB tester with my Mi Pad 4 LTE at 40% battery.

using various chargers and cables, both with miui 9 and 10.
I can say that MI PAD4 - DOES NOT have QC. it uses regular 5V/2A.
on xiaomi mi6, which clearly stated to suppoer QC, you have a sign of 'lightning bolt' on the top, as well as on the lock screen.
Mi-Pad DOES NOT.
is this limitation in hardware or easily bypassable using magisk?
coz the Plus version got at least QC2.0 enabled.
I have an own QC adapter (not from Xiaomi). When I plug in my Mi6 it shows "fast charging". But on my MiPad4 LTE it doesnt say anything about that... So I also would say, that the normal MiPad4 has no QC support.. Maybe the PLUS has it..

that's what the specifications say, BUT mine does definitely not support any kind of QC, neither 2.0 nor 3.0. I have tried it with a variety of QC2/3 chargers and cables that all work fine for QC (QC3.0 in this case) with my Mi Note 3 ("Jason"). On the Mi Pad 4 plus it does NOT quick-charge: neither does the Pad show any indication that it does, nor do my indicator cables (that have different color LEDs for normal or quick charging), nor is the charging time significantly reduced when using a QC charger versus a "normal" charger.
So, in theory it supports QC, in practice it doesn't for whatever reason. It may be supported by the chipset, but may be blocked by the kernel or MIUI.
I can confirm it does not support QC.

Hi,
I got an MI PAD 4 imported to India and unfortunately lost the charger .
I got know NI PAD 4 needs a 5v 2a charger. Can i use the Mi India standard 2A charger as the voltages in india and China are quite same .
It is is tough to find an equivalent adapter for the MI PAD 4 here in India .
Could you please help me with any suggestions .. i am currently charging it through USB ports in my laptop but the tablet is nearly dead.
look forward to your response.

Input (line) voltage doesn't really matter for this kind of chargers, they do support a wide range of input voltage. What matters is the output voltage. If it is 5V there is no problem using that.
Apart from the availability of the NM cards, the next most anticipated accessory for me would be a powerbank that can do full speed supercharging here. I have the Huawei 5A powerbank for my Mate 10 and love it to bits, hoping they release one upgraded to the newer spec for the Mate 20 Pro. If people find anything suitable please drop a reply with details.
I don't think there's any power bank available that it's small enoguh and can do 40 watts yet.
On a side note, It's sad huawei gave free 10,000 mAh Huawei Supercharge power banks to iphone owners (in line to purchase iPhone XS) and does not include one to people buying their $1000+ phone
Agree, a fast charging powerbank would be amazing. Mind you, 22.5W is not slow by any means so maybe that's more than sufficient. Is that the most powerful powerbank out there at present (a legit one)? 22.5W output?
I tested HW SuperCharge powerbank: 25W = very fast ( but a bit too expensive )

Check out any power bank that has USB-C PD. They'll generally get well above 2A output on the USB-C port.
Yes, but aren't we looking for 40W here? That's far more than most 'fast charging' power banks.

I read this to mean that it can charge at 45w unless using other ports...
"The Mi Powerbank 3 Pro comes with three ports in total, as opposed to the two ports found on the 10000mAh Mi Powerbank 2 Pro model. There are two USB-A ports along with a USB Type-C port. The Type-C port can take 45W (15V/3A) input as well as output, while the USB-A ports max out at 18W (again both input/output at 5V/2.4A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A). It can charge a number of laptops through its Type-C port including some of Apple’s Macbook Pro and Air models and Huawei’s Matebook models (the complete list of supported models are added at the end of the post).
When both the USB-A ports are in use, the output is maxed out at 15W each (5V/3A). Note that the power bank supports pass through charging, so it can charge other devices while being charged. Xiaomi adds that the 11 hour charging time (with a regular 10W charger) for the power bank goes down to just 4.5 hours with a 45W charger."
Is this wrong?
Thanks
Dave

the one I'm using is an original Mac book pro one which is around $70 but you can find the generic ones on Amazon for $38 I'm going to buy an extra one for my office. It is an 87 watt charger but it charges the phone a lot faster than the original Huawei one.
Just tried my handset on a couple of USB-PD chargers and getting 16W consistently.
i tried with mac pro original charger, i am getting around 3k miliAmp/hr on mac charger and 4-4.5k on huawei charger. Are you getting more than 3k on mac charger ?
MateBook X Pro Charger seems to result in something like 16W charging(just my estimate)

They won't necessarily damage the battery but will reduce it's lifespan. I generally use a Samsung charger, Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 , I also use do my best to use the 40 to 80% rule when charging.

Just the charging speed, QC4+ should be around 4A, if I'm not mistaken? Haven't checked, but I think that's about what you should get. My Mi 9 charges at 3.3A with the stock adapter.

I bought the Belkin QC4+ charger and it seems to charge the same at the stock Chinese model (8/128) adapter.
Mid 4000s mAh @4.4v
Take it for what you will. I bet anything is better than the Global brick I guess.
I know it's working because my phone charges absurdly fast.
Look for rapid charging on lock screen
Or charge turbo on charge animation
I am using the Hama QC4+ charger, no Charge Turbo and no Charge Quick/Fast displayed.

It does charge kinda quick, and the text shows Charging Fast, but that's it. Disappointed.
Could always use one of these, they're fairly cheap and quite usefull for checking port/usb output
or you simply look at the GSI lockscreen which integrates usb meter
shows volts, ampers, temperature, battery% and speed status

This was not my experience at all. I bought that belkin 4.0+ and it averaged at 2200... I don't think the phone does Charge Turbo or even Fast on 4.0 / 4.0 + because it isn't really a QC 4 rated phone. Offical Xiaomi chargers that do 27 w are running at QC 3.0 (look closely at the brick) they do however have an extra mode which makes the QC 3.0 charge TURBO... here is the confusion I beleive after buying a Hama 4.0+ and this Belkin 4.0+ you said works but doesn't charge Turbo.
