Hello Guys!
Recently I tried to reflash my stock rom...
However, in all tutorials I saw there where these files to flash in fastboot: boot.img recovery.img cust.img system.img.
However, I only found boot, recovery and system image in the update.app file! Also, when I reflash my stock rom, it only showed me the default android boot screen instead of the Huawei boot screen. Also, when I went into system settings and looked up my device model, it only said: Generic_a15
I think this actually has something to do with the cust.image file.
And resulting from that... My camera and YouTube and my audio isn't working anymore... Great.
Can someone here help me?

Hi guys, i have a big problem. I tried to update my girlfriend's phone (huawei g play mini chc-u01). I read some guides and i downloaded all firmwares from huawei site, unlock bootloader and tried to install updates. But at some point, phone won't boot up ! I made a mistake ! Now the situation is that when i turn on the phone, it shows the honor logo. I tried to flash via fastboot the system, recovery and boot image that i extracted from UPDATE.APP of the firmware taken from huawei site. Also tried to flash twrp recovery and find out a way to unbrick phone, but nothing. I can't find anything that works. An other thing is that in fastboot mode, when i type some erase command, output is remote command not allowed, but flash command seems to work.
How can i restore phone ? Is not there a way to restore it, I can make a aspo or cm based rom from system.img and other stock stuff ? Just split image to see files inside.
The last thing and maybe the core of mistake. I flash via twrp an oem file and then honor logo is appeared.
Thanks at all guys !
Edit: I finally restored phone. it works again flashing its lollipop version firmware.

how did you restore your phone ?
I have a g play mini chc-u01 and I upgraded it directly from android 4.4.2 (c185b067 ) to 6.0 (c185b560 ) but this build has many issues. now I want to downgrade to lollipop but I can't get into the recovery mode. whenever I try to enter the recovery mode, the bootloop happens. I tried to flash the system recovery extracted from UPDATE.APP but it didn't work neither did twrp. so can you show me the steps you made to restore your phone ??
Same Problem here. can you share how you fixed it?
Hi everyone,
I have an 10.8 inch wifi only tablet imported from China, non-pro, model CMR-W09C00 which was running firmware B123.
I was playing around trying to convert it to a global firmware and tried to flash it with the same firmware 123 but for CMR-W09C432 using Huawei Firmware Finder.
Turns out this was a pretty bad idea
Now the tablet is not booting and I can't figure out how to recover. Here's what I tried:
1. eRecovery is not working, it downloads the firmware completely and tries to install but fails. It did work fully once before I tried to flash the wrong firmware.
2. Wiping cache and data partition does nothing
3. I have access to fastboot and can unlock/lock the bootloader at will.
4. I have the full-OTA zip file for the original firmware CMR-W09C00B123 and have extracted all the img files contained in update.app
5. I'm trying / hoping to flash images to recover (with bootloader unlocked) but I'm a bit confused at this step.
All the instructions I found in my research mention mostly flashing just boot.img, system.img and recovery.img but I'm missing some of those files from the update.app or I guess they could be named differently. I don't have a boot.img, just a fastboot.img which I'm sure is not the same. I also don't have a recovery.img, just recovery_ramdis, recovery_vbmeta, recovery_vendor, erecovery_ramdis, erecovery_vendo, erecovery_vbmet and erecovery_kerne.
I was able to flash system.img successfully but that didn't help.
Also tried to use the unbrick feature from Huawei Multi-Tool but here again I seem to be missing image files. Multi-Tool says it needs system.img, ramdisk.img, cust.img, ramdisk_recovery.img and userdata.img.
Of those, I think I'm missing cust.img for sure, ramdisk_recovery I might have but it's named differently (recovery_ramdis) and userdata.img I don't think I really need.
I'm attaching a txt file with a list of all the img files I do have in case it can be useful or rings a bell for someone.
Oh yeah, I also tried flashboot update update.zip but it's only giving me this warning:
archive does not contain 'android-info.txt'
error: update package 'update.zip' has no android-info.txt
So...does anyone have any advice or suggestions? Is there a better method to recover that I missed?
Any help is appreciated!
Flash the ramdisk.img to ramdisk and report back please. I have an M3 that is in the same condition as yours, but I am on an extended deployment and won't be able to test this for at least another month :/

Thanks for taking the time to the reply mate, sorry to hear about your M3.
I tried fastboot flash ramdisk ramdisk.img and it said flashed successfully but the device is still not booting. Nothing else seems to have changed either.
Let me know if I misunderstood what you wanted to try or if you have any other ideas.
Cheers

I think I am in a similar spot. I went from a custom ROM back to stock, but now all attempts at installing full OTAs fail. Did you ever figure this out how to fix it?
Thanks
Hello.
I have the Huawei Mate 10 Lite phone in my hands. I wanted to change the system to some custom OS and something went wrong.
I unlocked the bootloader, uploaded TWRP and everything was OK. Problems started during Lineage install (the same with AICP). The system did not boot after installing.
At the moment only eRcovery is running but also can't install anything. I suspect this is due to the lack of original recovery. I extracted the RECOVERY.IMG and RECOVERY2.IMG files from the UPDATE.APP file.
However, I can't install them because I get this error:
-=edit=-
After many attempts to repair using information from the internet, I was able to repair the phone with this post - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76640204&postcount=79
Many thanks to @Chisetdel31260 for his great work and this post
Hello,
i got today a Chinese XT1605-05. I flashed the firmware and gapps with twrp from this thread.
The firmware and gapps were installed successfully. But after reboot only the boot animation stucked for around 5 minutes than the smartphone restarts into twrp. Gladly i can copy firmware files to system folder and flash again. So the smartphone isn’t bricked.
Than i tried an older lineage 16.0 firmware => same problem.
And a firmware from here => same problem.
Now i have nothing running. I have no idea where i could get the right firmware file for this Chinese Version.
And the original (stock image from lenovo) firmware is only available from sources which could be infected. Not a good idea to flash this garbage.
Best regards
TUKF98
Edit:
Ok, here ist the default firmware:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z/development/moto-z-official-firmware-downloads-t3449837
But it would be better to get android 9.0 working.
Sorry, for double post. It was created by a mistake.
Edit 2:
This stock firmware does not work. Wrong zip file.
Edit 3:
It works now, the lineage version .
I watched this video. And did all steps.
Edit 4:
Now its not working anymore. Its a joke. I installed a new version of lineageOS with the same procedure it worked first.
And now it wont work. The old firmware doesnt work also. WTF. I dont know what is wrong with this thing. Its now again stucking in boot sequence with the "ball moving on the line".
Edit:
Have flashed stock firmware back via fastboot commands. What a crap phone . 100 Euros are cheap, but not as cheap that i would take this ..... .
Now i have installed the original China firmware with trojans.
You cant block this **** from recording every input. But the european firmware does not run on my phone. After flash its hanging in bootloop.
Hello,
I found that it is possibility to Install new system on a phone. I did research about this but I don't really know how I don't understand everything.
When I was searching for my phone model there were some inaccuracies.
For example: I couldn't find the proper version. I have found "firmwares" that differs by one letter and I don't know I can download it or better no :/
My Phone Specifications are:
HUAWEI Y7 Prime 2018
Model: LDN-L21
LDN-L21 8.0.0.147(C432)
EMUI Version: 8.0.0
Android System Version: 8.0.0
Custom Version: CUSTC432D1
I found a site where I can download Firmwares.
My question is: Can I download for example this version and install it?
LDN-L21 London-L21A 8.0.0.150(C432CUSTC432D1)
or I must find version that exactly match my phone specifications? And what the word "London" means here?
Could somebody tell me step by step what should I do to Install new system on my phone?
Hello.
There are 1 letter difference in model - L21A and L21B. I guess there are no really HW or SW differences, but I stayed at L21B stock rom.
London is commercial codename for that type/serie of phone. LDN-L01 to L29 are similar Huawei and Honor phones with various names (Y7 2018/ Nova 2 lite / Honor 7A/7C etc). Other line/serie has other city name.
Latest stock rom for LDN-L21B is 8.0.0.151, for now.
If your phone is not rooted, still bootloader locked, with stock recovery: use System update from Settings or boot to eRecovery, connect to WiFi and let phone download latest rom and install it automatically.

I guess that you can use some of recovery modes: stock recovery, TWRP recovery or fastboot flash. Inside every ZIP is UPDATE.app. Every *.app can be unpacked with Huawei_Update_Extractor_v0.9.9.5. Eccential partitions for flash are ramdisk, kernel, product, system, vendor, version, cust. Extracted IMGs are still packed as SPARE img, so you have to unpack them with SIMG2IMG (simg2img system.img sys.img).
Now images can be flashed with custom *TWRP* recovery or fastboot (fastboot flash system system.img).
