I'm currently using TWRP 3.2.3 edited by CosmicDan. But now I'm seeing a lot of recovery available. There's this...
"TWRP-3.2.3.0-BERYLLIUM-20180831"
"Dark TWRP Recovery V2 by ronks4pda"
"Red Wolf TWRP Recovery"
"TWRP 3.2.3 V2 Unofficial by the Strix"
"PitchBlack Recovery"
I don't know if I'm using the better one over the others, and of course I'm confused which one to use to replace my current one, and I really don't know what are they differences. Can anyone help me to choose the right one. I'm looking for it's functionality and lesser bugs. What I like about using custom recovery is just to make a full backup of my phone. Use this backup anytime without hassle if needed.
Thank you!

So I was bored at work and did something stupid. Now I'm wondering if there is some way to fix it without having to flash my entire phone.
Is there someway a single file can be deleted using a CWM update zip. The file is the ported version of google now and having installed it using root explorer it is stopping my phone from booting entirely.
The file is "system/app/velvet.apk".
If anyone is experienced at CWM and knows how this can be achieved with a flashable zip then I would be extremely grateful.
SOLUTION: Advanced restored a stock nandroid backup of the system (provided by an xda member on the same provider), managing not to lose my data.
Wasn't there answers to this thread recently?

I was told to post it to this forum but haven't had a chance to test his suggestion. I'm still at work.

Once rooted should I disable updates or should I continue to accept Amazon updates?
I'd like to believe the updates will improve the OS but I'm not sure at all if that's actually the case.

If you wish to keep root block updates until such time as more information about the update is known. In other words. Yes

There is a nifty trick, the app "Android Firewall" can be used, you can use the android cowboy website to find out how it works.

I concur. Firewall does nothing to block updates.

Nope. BUT if you have SS instaled from both stock & working rom slot, it cannot complete the update. That means you reboot into SS & just reflach older bin (complete bin, not the stripped version from Hash) & then flash supersu & update your build.prop to reflect the new version.

So basically you're saying, if I'm on stock rom and have SS installed and my device gets updated automatically. I can still go back to SS and restore it to older version and get my root access?

Thank you so much! Is there a way to implement gamma correction through exposed or something like that? The yellow tint on my display is just a matter of preferences set right.
Kann man irgendwie die gamma correction implementieren? Der gelbstich im display lässt sich einfach korrigieren. Softwarelösungen sind einfach, aber auch zu simpel. Sehr guten support leistest du hier bisher. Vielen vielen dank!

Root using IOROOT 25 & flash TWRP recovery using AutoRec.apk developed by Cloudyfa.
Then Flash whatever recovery you want to install.
Please note : while flashing dont ever forget to download the correct zip's compatible with your phone model otherwise there is always a chance for bricking your device.

Thanks for the answer, I installed all "addonsu" from linage website but do not work. I also installed on the mobile SuperSU, but does not want to work. Where am I wrong?
Oh it is my mistake
You are on the unofficial build so you need to enable developer options by going to about device and press 7 times on build number, after that you will find a root option set it to apps and adb
