40 MHz channel width on 2.4 GHz WiFi - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

I'm using miui 9.6.22
Can anyone use 40 MHz of channel width on 2.4 GHz WiFi, my poco F1 only shows connection speed as 144 Mbps which is just 20 mhz

It's either your router settings that need adjustments unless it works on all your other devices or its the firmware on your poco.
I don't have stock stable.
I'm using 9.20 from Xiaomi.eu and it works.
Also there is a magisk module that fixes that for devices that use Qualcomm SOC that have the issue.
Those are the modules I'm using, and yes the printscreen was taken when both WiFi modules were disabled.

It works fine on other devices, I have tried 2 routers, mi router 3G and a tp link one, same issue in both

If that is the case, it's down to ROM, system. You could either try and keep stock but maybe weekly developer version which doesn't require unlocked bootloader. But that means you need to install Google play and so on separately, there is a apk for that tho.
If that doesn't solve it I would suggest you send a bug report to xiaomi (maybe need to restore phone to be sure it's a bug or not)
Another route is unlock bootloader so you can install twrp recovery and magisk manager plus the Qualcomm module and see if that helps you or wait for future updates. Another alternative is to install xiaomi.eu rom which is based on weekly development ROM.

I'm getting full 866 Mbps on 5 GHz band though.

144 on mine repeater , 866 Mbps on 5 GHz band

I also tried on miui 10 global beta 8.9.20 and same issue, can it be hardware issue or is the problem for everyone on global rom?
