nexbox a95x issues...help requested - Android Stick & Console AMLogic based Computers

Ok i have a nexbox a95x that was given to me...im trying to save it haha...
Its stuck at the boot logo, ive tried numerous things...
loaded several different variations of the stock firmware and custom roms with burn tool with little success. only a few actually complete with burning tool, most stop at 2% - leading me to try different firmware.
if it does complete, it still freezes at the boot logo.
i can install TWRP - but i am relatively unfamiliar with it and i get stuck after twrp loads.
Ive tried libreelec as well, cant even get it to load via sd card...
anybody have any ideas?

Did you ever get it going?
Is it 1 gig or 2 gig?

That will have proper firmware. Let me know if you still need help.
Don't try libreelec unless you want just kodi. Use that on an M8 or something. Just my thoughts. The a905x with nougat and lawnchair, fully rooted... works great.

Cannot get movies to work

TOUGH - Stuck in the most IMPOSSIBLE soft brick..e.v.e.r. - TOUGH

Hi guys. This is the first time I've asked for help here. I have been flashing custom roms for several years now, and go figure, the one device I would be unable to recover is my own beloved Galaxy Tab S .
WiFi 16gb SM-T700.
I have flashed this dozens of times since in the last three years, this issue is TOUGH.
Here is what happened.
Tried to gain root with Kingroot ( First time trying that one. :/ )
Then i pushed TWRP 3.1.* through Odin
Flashed AICP 7.1.2 / GAPPS
Success
Booted the tablet. Play Store worked. Everything worked. I had root. I downloaded a few of my favorite apps and then restarted into recovery to make a backup.
TWRP was asking me something it never did before, something installing the Official App,..I swiped??
Anyways, I never got the backup. Here is where I'm stuck.
When I turn the tablet on, it says "Can't do normal boot, Kernal Length" and shuts off when I let go. I cannot boot into recovery from any method. The OS will not load. I have access to download mode, but absolutely nothing will go through in Odin. I have tried 6 or 7 different versions of Odin/ both with the single AP file and all four separate (BL, AP, CSC, blah) I have tried repairing the bootloader, reinstalling a recovery, new roms, PIT files, nothing at all will PASS in odin. Samsung Kies won't see the device in DL mode. I even donated to the UNIFIED Android Toolkit, which did Sh**. The PRO version. I have spent at least two entire days worth of time and this is beyond me. PLEASE HELP ME!! I can't get it. I paid a pretty penny for this the day it came out, and it doesn't have a scratch on it and I love and care for my devices and respect the software and the dedicated work I see all of you put into this community which makes it easy for people like me. Thank You.
Odin acknowledges it, and I have download mode, and i'm out of ideas.
Does anybody have a good one I can try?
(I'm wrong, I can't help)

S905X Brick and Recover - Need Help

Hi, This is my first post here. I've been on XDA long ago for phone stuff, now into TV box.
So I just purchased an S905X box. It is an Abox-A1 1G/8G. The device info states:Kernal:Apr 27 16:00:19 CST 2017 Build:ABOX-I-6.0.1-201705171007
On the inside board I found this info:
ABOX, RTL8189, 1G/8G, 20170617
A95X, DDR4, V1_1 20160906
RTL8189ETV
So first thing I successfully made a TWRP SD Recovery and backed up the device. Then i successfully ran LibraELEC on SD for several days. But I wanted a full android box and was not satisfied with the original software and because I wanted to play, have some fun with the box, and learn a little too; I stated trying to install custom rom. I don't have a male-male USB cable so I was using the SD Boot tool. I could not get any rom to install correctly but no harm was done until I tried to install XTmod 3.0. The device flashed update for an instant then the red led came on on that was all... BRICKED.
I successfully used the shorted pin method. I shorted pin 5-6. I also read pin 6-7 and 7-8. Since I have done it a few times now I can verify pins 5-6 worked for me. Anyway this got me past boot with a update labeled "cyx_NEXBOX-A95X_S905X_rtl8723bs_8g2g_tvmc_170111_SD_USB" that I found at entertainmentbox.com/a95x-tv-box-android-marshmallow-6-0-firmware-download. This gave me a new nexbox boot logo instead of the old abox, but it did not boot into android. However I was then able to use my TWRP recovery to restore my backup.
I have tried a few roms but all of them have failed or bricked by device and I start over again.
So I have two simple question:
1. can I get the original abox recovery back instead of the now nexbox labeled boot. The device recovery I have lost in the process I guess. I get nexbox at boot then the ABOX screen while it boots to android. Not a big deal, but I don't know exactly what I have done(not done) so would appreciate enlightenment
2. Can anyone suggest a custom rom for my device and the proper way to install.
I am new to this and a little confused with all the variation on these devices and custom options I have found, So appreciate any assistance.
Thanks.
I would really like to customize the device I have. All the attempts I have made have failed by bricking by box. Do I need to look into customizing the version I have? I have a backup. Is there a way to extract the android system and customize it to a base android version and modify step by step? update and play services does not seem to work anyway so it seems modification is the only way. LibreELEC works great but I would like to have a full android experience with internet browsing and select games/apps.
Whats my next step? options/suggestion?
or can anyone point me to a rom/upgrade that should work with this device?
Thanks.
Which pins are 5 and 6?
---------- Post added at 12:29 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:22 AM ----------
Which pins are 5 and 6? I can't find anything on the pins of this box. I detected a flashing electrical signal from the power LED. But no light. One day it just didn't work. Never tried to flash anything. Bricked. The CPU gets really hot fast now. Idk.tv boxes suck wish I had a shield.or a minipc.

MXQ Pro odd rebooting/updating loop

Ok, to make a long story short, I have a few issues with 3 of my mxq pro 4k boxes. They are the s905x boards with the s905w chip/p281 bootloader. I was toying around with different roms, such as poison rom and atvxperience rom, and now my boxes wont boot nor update.
I was able to flash the factory rom (from the supplier) on one box via sd card method and its back to stock and fuctional.
The other two are a different story, when I go to update via SD card method, the file loads and the green bar starts to creep across the screen (id say approx 10%) then it reboots automatically and tries to update again. This continues, so im stuck in an updating/rebooting loop....
Now ive tried usb burning tool as well...usual processes and attempts. Few diff ports, 2 diff pc's, few different versions of the burning tool. All with an error at 7%, seems like more than the NAND has been erased. I also shorted pins on one box with no change to results.
Im at a loss here...Not sure where to go from here to at least get these last two units working, then back to attempting custom rom installs...
Any help would be awesome!

Mate 10: Stuck on ALP-LGRP2-OVS-9.0.0.47(SP10log)

Hi there.. I have tried to update my Mate 10 many times, mostly unsuccessfully. I had bought it in Turkey, and many of the ROMs I tried failed to boot - it would enter a boot loop, or get stuck at the logo, etc.
With trial and error I found this ROM: ALP-LGRP2-OVS-9.0.0.47(SP10log)
It worked fine and I stayed with it. However it is getting pretty dated now, so I would like to try it again..
I do not understand why many of the newer ROMs for my ALP-L09 fail to work on my phone, despite me flashing SYSTEM, KERNEL and the two recovery partitions.
What do you suggest I do? The machine is rooted of course, and "check for updates" option of the phone fails to find any updates..
I am very familiar with downloading the firmware, extracting partition images from it, and fastboot flashes.
Many thanks, -turgut

OnePlus 9 T-Mobile Version stuck in Fast boot mode...

Hi all
First off I'm definitely a noob and it might be in the wrong place?
I'll start off by saying thanks for any support I my get.
Tryed to make a / i.e put in a TWR recovery
and got sent into a crash dump.
Now when I turn on the phone it stays in fast food Mode.
I've tried a multitude of tutorials to no avail.
The phone does have an unlocked bootloader done correctly, pretty sure. It's not rooted that was what I was trying to do. I'm running Ubuntu the latest version on a laptop and I'm seeking help to unbrick my poor new phone. I can perform tasks like getting log files and have even tried reflashing boot.images etc with success but not booting back into recovery where I could flash its oos, just end up in fast boot mode again.
I used bugjaeger at first with an OTG cable and another phone to flash custom recovery.
If somebody has a tutorial assuming that the partitions may be harshed on or needing something I'm unaware of or whatnot I'd be beyond appreciative...
Thank you for your time!
