Best custom rom for pubg on POCO F1? - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

I'm new here so can anyone suggest a custom ROM which can give a better gaming experience or is the stock rom best for gaming?

Xiaomi.eu if you want a stock based rom that is good. As for what's best for gaming I have no idea.

If someone could run gaming or performance tests on different roms and post the results, we could decide what we want and flash that rom

Seriously? You mean that others should do the work you won't do your self?
First of the phone is on second place in antutu board with both stock and custom based on stock.
If you compare the system with a rom that is based on let's say aosp /Ln I can straight of the bat say that the stock based will work better since kernel source code isn't fully released meaning stock is your best bet atm.

I've tested all the custom ROMs available for Poco including GSI ROMs both 8.1 and 9 as of now stock ROM provides the best performance in gaming as well as benchmarks. Ive tried pubg in most of the ROMs including the recent device specific RR,lineage, havoc, dot os,AEX but none gets close to stock probably because they all use lineage tree because of that you won't notice much difference. In short stock is gold.

Thank you very much. Do you think there will be improved roms for gaming in the near future? I know the stock rom is more than enough, still asking.

Definitely that's the whole point of custom ROMs. To provide more features, performance and cusyomizations over stock. So yes but will take quite some time.

So any update on this thread?

Sorry for the ignorance, but which ROM would be the stock one? Is it in the ROMs and Kernels subforum? I can't find it.
About battery usage whilst gaming, is it different? Better, worse?
Thanks for your help!

If the stock is gold,

a question tho,
sphinx v/s Franco ?
which kernel can overclock more and which is stable

Not even with a custom kernel??

I'm using nos for quite some time now.. And I gaming alot with nos.. You should try it.. Also I remember oos is good for gaming too.. Nos with stock kernel..

There is a kernel called NO Gravity that is supposed to be the best one out at the moment for gaming. Get a good custom Rom like Evolution X and then put that custom kernel on it, and let us know.

even seshtation is good on evo x

I did flash No gravity Kernel, and there is a gaming mode which will overclock the gpu and at the same time won't let the battery drain at the cost of little heat(Nobody notice that much). And u can flash the magnetar payload in magisk manager, and that's it, game is smoother than ever. Use the MIUI 11 only, it's the best.

Best Oreo 8.1 rom

Forgive me if I'm posting this in the wrong place. Xposed for oreo has just been released so Im ready to flash oreo again but I wanted to know which is the best oreo 8.1 roms in terms of smoothness and battery life and what is the best kernel*(battery) for oreo 8.1
ABC ROM found in Android file host but not posted here
.https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=889964283620775924
Nitrogen OS is very smoothles after pixel experience, because PE lag for me
And most ROM have same battery life
im on AICP, it run smoothy and i'm not found any bug as far as, and customization is good enough
Aoscp, aosp extended are the way to go.

No, man
I think you need to try one by one to find out your needs and matches.
Everyone has their own character.
So, try it ...
And stay.
Happy flashing, good luck.
I've tried all Oreo ROMs available for mido till date but most of them have deep sleep issue where the CPU doesn't go to deep sleep. If this isn't a major issue for you then you can flash any Oreo ROM. All of them are good. However, if you want moar customisation then go for Cosmic OS, AICP or Nitrogen OS. But if you like pure stock experience then go for AOSCP or PixelExperience ROM
- Hope It Helped

From what I have experienced Lineage OS by smartass is pretty fast but it still has some bugs (random reboots, whatsapp call etc).
As a 2nd option you can use MDK v5 rom by lakamel, it is pretty good rom aswell.

If you want only gaming then stock rom of your is best
The best rom is yur stock rom
Gaming
I'd look for a stock custom, or built up stock rom/kernal, I gave lineage a go, was largely unimpressed with everything but the shear speed. There are stock roms close to that fast, I play plenty of the 3d racers, action, and rpg's on mine without issue. I agree with stock, but stock doesn't have to be basic, or slow.

Best OS?

Guys what do you recommend? Android Pie stable or beta? Or do you recommend any custom rom? Thank you!

This rom solves the screen delay?
In all honesty, everyone is different. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. If you don't mind flashing, I urge you to try a few and see what fits you the best. What's good for one is not always what's good for the other. Personally, I use pixel experience with pix3lfy magisk module... But that's just what I like.
I literally try every single rom I can find for my devices. Each one has its good and bad sides. Sometimes I like using a Pie ROM, sometimes I like MIUI. I'm using Pixel Experience right now, but as soon as the next MIUI from Xiaomi.eu is available I'll be installing that one.
Every person uses their device differently and therefore will have different requirements.
Me, I look for smoothness of operation and long battery life.
Syberia is great, Havoc is good, PE is lovely, MIUI is nearly perfect (for me).
Get comfortable with backing up your data and flashing and try them all!

Yes, but you won't notice any differences. At the moment I'rocking almost 10h SOT which I haven't managed to do since MIUI 9...
I do use Syberia, its great performance over 265k in Antutu and is stable af. I didnt found any single bug and OTA works good.
I would like to test Pixel Experience but im very comfortable with Syberia
I have used almost all custom ROMs available for Poco F1 except crDroid and Mokee. And this is my top 5 choices.
1. Stock miui (8.12.13; Rooted and debloated a few system apps)
2. Miui EU
3. NOS
4. Omni
5. AOSiP
Right now I am using NOS+MicroG+Magisk+Derp Kernel and the combination seems to work for me pretty well. Anyway, this is my personal choice. You may have different experience.

Aosp roms 210000 - 230000

Very good my friend, above average. It dont have very good endurance when gaming for too long as it boosts to the max so the battery drains a bit faster than usual when gaming

Try with latest official TWRP, I believe it works
But check the app Migrate, it backups apps, data, permissions, sms and calls (you need root for that)

Best version of MIUI for gaming

I have the global version of Pocophone F1.
I only care about gaming performance and battery backup.
Currently on 10.2.3.0 stable.
My current Antutu score is 299961, though I know sometimes these scores don't reflect to real world gaming performance.
Not sure if I should update to 10.3.4 or rollback to older versions for better gaming experience, meaning comparatively better, stable FPS with less frame drops.
Not talking about PUBG only, but all heavy games.
TLDR, looking for the best version of MIUI for gaming on the Pocophone F1.
Cheers!
Imo Miui 10.3.4 is a hit or miss. It did screw up touch response for a lot of users including me (I rolled back to 10.2.3). So my advice would be to stay away from it for now.
honestly, its miui 9 oreo(v9.6.25) then there is miuipro based on miui 10( i,ve tried beta 9.1.24) and last but not least the oxygen os port (op6 port 9.04 march 4th build).

Not true, try xiaomi eu and always use latest version. Tomorrow 9.4.11 is getting released.
I have to say.. 10.3.4 is the best bro.. but its not like its just the rom.
I have installed so many modules and tweaks and even custom kernel.
Malakas kernel for one. Its the only kernel that gives me a locked 60 fps in nba 2k19.. accdg to gl tools.. as well as ppssppp and damon ps2 pro.
Plus install LKT , UNTHERMAL AND THANAS_BUILD_PROP TWEAKS..
IT wont only give you as much as 315k antutu score. But it will also boost your gaming experience...

At the expense of battery of course.. during gamimg. With all.those installed tweaks.. the phone gets hot.. about 50-55°C.. but still gives you the smoothes experience there is.. unthermal is like the performance mode of both kirin 980 and exynos 9820..
