Hi there,
I have an LGV30 (AT&T), stock ROM
Except the signal issues I am pretty happy with it.
I was wondering if anyone can help me on this one and thank you all in advance.
My issue (since the Oreo update) is when I connect my Garmin USB ANT Stick via OTG cable the phone starts behaving weirdly.
First of all the ANT+ services don't work correctly (as they used to with Nougat) meaning the fitness apps that need the ANT+ sensors cant find them.
And second the Bluetooth icon at the top starts blinking and all Bluetooth devices are disconnected. The Bluetooth cannot be switched on or off anymore. The switch in settings is grayed out and cannot be used.
I think there is some connection/mix up with ANT+ services and Bluetooth radio and in the end none of them works.
The only way to make Bluetooth work again is by unplugging the USB ANT Stick and restart the phone.
What I have tried so far:
Disable all radio connections manually before plugging in the USB ANT Stick. Same result: Bluetooth icon flashing and neither the ANT+ services work or Bluetooth.
Different OTG cable. Same effect.
Different USB ANT Stick. Same story.
Different apps. Same thing.
Tried different modes for the OTG connection: Charging mode , Power supply, MTP etc. to no avail.
The USB ANT Stick on my old Nexus 7 (running stock Marshmallow) works with no issues.
LG V30 ant+
I was never able to get ant+ to work on my V30. That said, by uninstalling all ant+ related apps and clearing bluetooth cache, I was able to connect my Garmin Vector 3 pedals and Wahoo KICKR simultaneously and powermatch using trainerroad. Garmin Connect also worked well.

I purchased this indash Pioneer unit for large screen display of nav info using Waze or Google maps. The phone function connects OK via USB, the bluetooth connects OK for music, but the Pioneer will not recognize the phone's nav input.
Two different brand phones owned by the radio shop crew connect flawlessly to the unit via USB. They have tried repeatedly to get the X829 LeMax2 running stock Android 6.0.1 to connect, without any sign of success.
Could it be the USB-C? The two other phones are the older style USB.
Anyone have a solution?

Hi!
Do you use Android Auto?
Do you enable the connection to your Pioneer?

Thanks for the info - I had not heard about Android Auto. I tried it, and it does not recognize my Pioneer unit. It is not listed either as an accepted or rejected car.
After some experimentation, I found that the problem apparently is in the USB-C. I had thought the phone was commecting via USB, but it was using BT. A. Auto will connect via BT but not by USB.
I tried with USB set for debug or not, for MTP or not, but nada all ways. The Pioneer will not connect via the USB-C. A thumb drive of music with the old style USB connects perfectly, so it is not a defective USB connection in the Pioneer but the C format. HELP!!!

Ok, so has anyone else had problems with this..
when you plug in an OTG connected usb device (i have the same problem with usb drives and midi controllers so far) and in the notification bar pull down it will say charging usb device, and when you choose to switch it to something else, like transfer files or connect a midi device, it just goes right back to charging the device after changing it for a few seconds or until you tap the screen or check it again.
This has completely stopped me from being able to connect a midi device, and causes the usb drives to get hot, although I can still transfer files in an 3rd party file manager, but the notification bar will never stay in tranfer mode, and it has never gone into midi mode at all.
This is not an issue with my OTG adapter, as I also have the same problems with borrowed adapters, as well as using DEX. In fact in dex, if I plug in a usb drive and switch to transfer files mode it will crash. Has anyone else experienced these problems? Are any of these apps for OTG management in the play store useful for this? They seem to be useless based on the reviews except for testing a UTG adapter. Thanks!
btw I don't have root, my note 8 is fully updated to BQLA version.
Hi, check the battery! If internal resistance goes up so does noise.
Check the cable and connector on the phone as well.
Hello XDA-Devs,
i bought a brand new Amazfit Pace (International) and updated firmware to latest stock. Setup was quite fine and watch paired with my Phone (Redmi Note 3 Pro) and Amazfit Watch App without any problems. I was also able to connect via MTP from Windows 10 PC and store some music on the watch.
Now i tried to connect my bluetooth headset (Bluetooth Bragi Dash Headphone) without any success. I put the Bragi Dash Headphone into pairing mode and in wacht BT menu it opens BT overview with blinking "Searching" indicator. After a while the blinking "Searching" indicator disappears and thats it. The Headphone does not show up. I also tried with a Bluetooth speaker with same result. Both, the Bragi Headphone and the bluetooth-speaker are working without any issues with my Phone, Windows tablets and other devices.
Any clue or same issue? Actually i like the design of the watch, but possibility to pair a bluetooth headset was a buying decision for me ..
thx and br

1. Make sure the BT devices aren't paired with any other devices before trying to pair with watch;
2. If BT on watch is working fine, you should stay connect if you go away from your phone about 10m (without barriers), if connection drops 30-50cm from phone then maybe you have a problem with the watch's BT (weak connection due to bad antennae or BT chip);
3. Put phone and any other device around in Airplane mode (or switch other BT devices off), do the same to watch, then enable only BT and try to pair again. There are some known cases of WiFi/BT interference.
If everything fails, maybe the phone/speaker simply aren't compatible if they pair with other devices. Watch should be able to list other BT devices nearby, if the list is always empty, looks like BT is damaged. Try an unpair (reset) and pair again with another phone and/or account on Amazfit app. Good luck.
Hello lfom, thanks for fast reply. I did a factory reset and it still does not work with my Bragi Headphone (150€) (https://support.bragi.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000132569-The-Headphone-Technical-Specifications)
But one good news, i tried with a very cheap bluedio BT-Headset (9€) and surprisingly this headset i could directly connect to my Amazfit Pace watch and works fine...
... so it seems there is some general incompatibility... maybe related to BT 4.0 A2DP version. As you see here http://www.phonemore.com/xiaomi-amazfit/specs/3497 the Amazfit Pace should support BT 4.0 A2DP. I assume the Bragi Headphone does handle the protocolls correctly (had never any issues with them) and they are premium product... so unfortunately it seems we have to wait for fix fom Amazfit side.
Anyone else can report incompatible BT devices? Or maybe anyone else out there tried to connect a Bragi product?
Thx and br
Probably it cannot be fixed by Huami, as the the limitation is the hardware used in Pace (4.0BLE). I have read somewhere that Stratos uses a different BT chip and supports higher version, not sure if 4.1 or 4.2. There is a list of known compatible and incompatible devices in a Facebook group:

Thx lfom, i joined the group and seems that Bragi The Headphone does not work in general (others report that too). Sad that a standard protocol like bluetooth still seems to have compatabiliy issues. Have to live with it and use different BT-headphone. Thx for your help
Hi... my Kaidi headset will not pair Amazfit as well. I can pair Amazfit with iPhone and can pair Kaidi headset with iPhone but never Amazfit with Kaidi. Sad...
I am having an issue where my S9+ intermittently disconnects from USB devices. Done the obvious thing of trying multiple USB leads but this does not change anything.
Flying a DJI drone that uses an android app connected via USB to a remote control unit. Maybe one in ten flights the USB feed from the Remote Control to the S9+ gets cut, making flight control problematic.
VW car with inbuilt Android Auto occasionally loses the USB connection and stops functioning.
In both instances no amount of re-plugging the USB C lead or rebooting the phone or android app fixes the issue. However as far as I can tell, in all cases power cycling the connected device, be it the Remote control for the UAV or the the VW radio (Car off for several minutes), immediately fixes the issue.
Does any body have an idea of what would cause the S9+ behave like this. Chopping the USB out of the blue. Seemingly the S9+ no longer recognises the specific device that is in plugged in to it and the associated app UNTIL the peripheral device is power cycled. Could this be the "Optimize Battery Usage" function running amok. Have disabled it for both apps but it is too early to tell if it has fixed it .
I bought me a heart monitor that has both Bluetooth and ant+. I searched and found that none of LG phones are officially supported but was suggested to download the ant+ tester to see if there is ant+ hardware. In the picture I uploaded it sure looks like everything is there for it to work.
When I reboot the phone and try to connect the monitor it shows both the Bluetooth and ant+ options available to connect. When you select ant+ it circle of deaths trying to connect. It will also cause the Bluetooth switch in the notification to flicker on and off and you can't turn it on untill a reboot.
My thinking is the hardware has to be there or it wouldn't read there being an ant+ device to connect to.
Has anyone messed with ant+ much?
Still can't find much info
