Desperate for some intelligent assistance! Note 3 N900T - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

First off, to save time, my phone:
Galaxy Note 3 N900T
Rooted
Straight Talk, Pre paid
No Sim Card
A.V. 5.0
Status is:
network: unknown
sig strength: -103 dBm 5 asu
net type: IWLAN
service state: voice: out of service/Data: in service
roaming: no
mobile net state: Disconnected
device status: custom
Keeps saying I'm not registered on network, my bill is paid, no new updates or software installed, didnt play around with settings. but 2 things happened in succession
1. I replaced the charging port, and it did work after that.
2. I forgot to charge it, it went dead, when I turned it back on it was stuck in a loop on the T mobile screen, I managed to boot it into download mode and restarted it.
I haven't been able to connect since, and my desktop, screen settings reverted to default?? but as far as I can tell everything else is the same except for this connection issue.
I wouldn't be on here bugging anybody except for the fact that every fix Ive looked at, and searched for tells me to check a sim card that I don't have, and I've tried googling similar issues with my configuration (no sim) with no luck..
So here I am looking for someone that could at least point me in the right direction, I'm in a bad situation and having my phone is criticle, to say the least. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you

[Q] 3g not working until reboot

Hello everyone, i'm asking this because it's the third time i had this issue. I often keep my Data Network Mode deactivated and turn it on only when i need because of my 3g plan (quota, taxes, and also because it's likely to find a WiFi network in the places i usually go).
The problem is, sometimes i turn on 3g (by Phone options menu) and... nothing happens... i need to reboot to make it work again.
The 3G network in my country is quite unstable, but i'm pretty sure that isn't a signal problem because one of the times i was turning on/off the 3G to make it work and i gave up and forgot to turn it off, the next day when i tried again i found it was On but not connected. After a reboot, working again.
Anyone having this issue who found a fix? Could be a problem with the kernel or app?
Edit: I Forgot: CF-ROOT Kernel, KF3

mate i am afraid you have answer already - "The 3G network in my country is quite unstable"
that can clearly produce the bug. Just in the case check your APN settings if they are correct. Settings- wireless and network-mobile networks- access Poin Names - compare the stats there with your network provider and make deep research.
just example i am on vodafone - i found that i was running vodafone live profile in APN and i was loosing conexion and i had troubles loading some pages - after research i found that there is another setup for vodafone as well - different then the live but for vodafone as well. i am using it since then and i am experiencing now the lighting speed of 3g. Just give it a try.
Searching on the internet i found that the configuration of my APN is equal to the recommended.
Backup data and factory reset phone should clear any software problems .
You could try flashing KH3 modem .

Same issue here for both rooted and un-rooted GS2
Retracted - will have to do more testing

[Q] tiKtaK Beta 2 WiFi problem (HTC One VZW)

I've had the tiKtaK Beta 2 ROM for my Verizon HTC One for a few days and everything was working great until I rebooted my phone then the WiFi stopped working. No networks showed up. I read somewhere that you need to turn WiFi off before rebooting so I tried that. All that happened was the networks appeared but I couldn't connect to any of them. I entered my password for my network and it instantly said "Failed to connect to network".
I looked all around to see if anyone has had this problem and couldn't find it so if anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it. I'm not too good with this kind of stuff so sorry if I seem like an idiot.
Thanks!

[Q] Cannot use mobile data

Hi everybody, I am quite frustrated at the moment, since my S2 has driven me up the wall all day long. To cut a long story short, for some reason my mobile data is unusable. For some reason, yesterday I flashed a modem (...KS3 or somethng, i had already used that file previously, and worked), and after rebooting mobile data was gone. Then I don't recall what I did to troubleshoot the issue, but I came across these results:
1 - Managed to get the H+ icon back, but no internet, I could see from the arrows on the icon that it tried to connect but couldn't.
2 - Tried to switch between APNs, but with no success. On PAC rom an apn got the state 1, but still no internet.
3 - Tired with dirty flashing and no success, I decided to start over and do a full wipe and flash of CM11 official and on first boot, still no internet.
Right now it's sitting there, with no icon next to the bars, and i can't make any calls nor send SMSes. What do you advise me to do? I flashed a modem when I was on CM11, right before bosting this and still no luck.
Please give me a hand, I am starting to grow a bit desperate, thinking of an hardware issue. Never did this before, if this can help
EDIT: It is now in state 1, the icon H+ is is there, but i can't access the Internet...

Mobile Network Issues, apps Not Connecting

Hello guys, I'm having a huge issue with my mobile network.
For the past two weeks I've not been able to make use of my mobile network correctly, it sometimes works, but most of the time doesn't. The icon in my status bar shows there is activity, it's fully connected to 3G or LTE, even with full bars. But all my apps like Telegram, Pokémon go, Messenger and the likes are stuck "reconnecting" to the network, as if my phone doesn't have any reception at all. At some points even SMS messages refuse to send, even though I've got full reception.
I've already gotten my SIM card switched out, attempted multiple clean flashes and the issue still persists.
Phone: Oneplus One
My current firmware: 0.1.c1.11-00006-M8974AAAAANAZM-1
Current ROM: idprophecy's unofficial optimized lineage-14.1-20180413-UNOFFICIAL-bacon
Current Recovery: Kutep0v TWRP 3.2.1-K2
Is there anything I can do? I'm getting really desperate.
This is my last plead on this forum, as I haven't had any response from anyone since april 25th, I've got nothing else to do but wait. Can't find anything on the internet about this issue, you're my last hope.
Have you tried flashing to stock version?

Question Mobile data not working in Canada (Rogers)

I tried to changed APN manually to rogers but still data does not work, only call and text works. Is there a solution to this? I believe i got Pro 2 (cn with global rom installed)
I had the same issue, below is the APN setting on Rogers website, I've found that if you make the following changes, it will connect to 4G data (until you restart your device)APN Type: replace "internet + mms" with "*"
MVNO: ROGERS
MVNO type: SPN
This will get you connected.
However, I ran into another problem after configuring the network this way. After restarting the device, the phone can no longer detect the SIM card, and has an error message prompting restart).
This is my problem after restarting:
Comparing with other phones, the auto detected APN Type is typically "default", but entering default will cause the connection issue right away. The "*" will allow you to run until device reboot.
I too would like help on how to resolve this. Seems more software than hardware problem since it only fails after boot.

@GSKC
I just tried your method looks like it works and as you said it doesn't work after reboot. However when I did "Network setting reset," I was able to connect to 4g again (but resets wifi passwords too). Hopefully there's a solution...
I noticed that this problem only happens if there is a SAVED wifi network WHEN the device BOOT up.
I did a factory reset, then enter the APN manually. I was able to connect to stable network.
I did a system restart, no issue. The phone reconnects to the network automatically after booting.
I connect to a wifi network. The phone still works fine.
I restart the device again, the problem comes back.
If I take out the SIM and only use the Wifi, the phone is also okay.
The only time when it doesn't work is when I have both, which is the normal use case.
Something is happening in the firmware between the wifi and the SIM during the boot sequence.
This problem exists on my Lenovo L70081, Legion Phone Duel 2 Pro, running OS 12.5.188 ST, updated using Rescue and Smart Assistant v5.8.0.25
Any help would be appreciated.

Im on the same OS version 12.5.188ST, my phone connected to data absolutely fine with no problems but after every few hours stop making or receiving calls. I did the following and its fine for some time now but I'm not sure whether this will work with every phone but no harm in trying :
settings.....cellular network and sim.....5G mode. By default (at least in my phone) it is on NSA, I first switched to NSA+SA but to no avail, than I switched to SA and vola problem solved, all incoming outgoing calls working bang on but I think now my phone doesn't go on 5g which is still not good but at least making calls as normal. Now, as I said, this procedure might not work for everyone but try it, cheers.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately setting the 5G setting didn’t help. I also tried disabling 5G but I still have the issue.
Was your OS able to read the APN from your SIM or did you have to enter the APN manually also?

I didn't mess about with apn, as I said in my earlier post I had no problems using data its always connected but I had problems with making and receiving calls, cheers
There's currently two ROM available on Rescue and Smart Assistant:
L70081_ROW_SECURE_USER_Q00017.0_R_ROW_12.5.188_ST_210819_qpst
L70081_EE_SECURE_USER_Q00017.0_R_ROW_12.5.137_ST_210710_sec_qpst
What's the difference between ROW and EE rom?
Which would work best in Canada and US?
is ROW only updated in Asia and Pacific?
i sort of had this same problem with Tmobile. it would only connect to 3g . if i connected to the 4g or 5g network i lost everything . i was able to fix it using my ROOTED phone and an app in the playstore called network guru. I used that to turn off majority of the network bands and only left the ones listed for the phone. My service was immediately fixed and havent had any trouble since

I know how ya feel, I pestered TMobile for 2 weeks and they were no help. They kept trying to push me off to Lenovo who was absolutely no help at all. Id go thru their website which connects you to Motorola. Then they would tell me they don't support the phone because it's Lenovo and give me a link to follow. Id follow that link which led me right back to Motorola lmfao.
After 4-5 times of going thru that nonsense I finally got someone who knew what they were doing. They told me because this phone was never released in the US I need to go thru their European server for assistance. Screw that, I did some more research and got the idea of trying this from some ancient post I found on xda lol.
It's actually very easy as long as your phone is rooted. download the app, click the 3 dots and go into force control. Then adjust the carrier bands so only the ones supported by the phone are selected. Then reboot your phone and it should kick over to a working signal . If not ya might have to monkey around in the service menu using the dial code *#*#4636#*#*
Here's a few screenshots to give ya an idea and a link to a website with all the bands listed. https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/US/lenovo-legion-2-pro
