Ressurtion remix 6.2 8.1.0 Oreo Final without second Thought:.
If you want pure stock experience go for Pixel Experience or Lineage OS.
Ressurtion Remix comes with dozens of customization. Its best for me.

None of the ROMs you suggested is on his list. From the opening post, it's rather clear that he wants a Oreo ROM

Aosp Extended 8.1 + Stazrk Kernel better for performance,Stable,glitch,smooth,Stable rom with Overclock Kernel with no heating issue,

For best performance so I say lineage OS. but if you say for more cusmisation so I say AOSP.

try something over aosp 7.0, like aospextended, citrus caf. real stable.
Xenon HD seems nice, only notification light doesnt work for me on yesterday build

Aoscp or Xenon IMO. I would first flash MIUI mm beta 6.12.1 to make sure you latest software

Use Nitrogen OS instead. It's good. Been using for 3 months.
there isn't any nougat rom stable yet
all of them has some sort of bugs
just study well what are you going to flash to be fully aware

No why it should lock? I thought only MIUI Roms can lock the bootloader.
But I don't care about it, because I flashed this ROM with locked bootloader. ^^
using RR since 3 months, tried nexus, lineageOS, nitrogen, and all the other roms.
Go for pixel rom smooth and stable some bugs are their like camera and torch but these can be fixed after installing the rom, otherwise u are good to go.
One common bug of video calling is there with stock app which is there in every nougat rom.
If you want the best signal in Nougat, choose a CAF N based rom. I highly recommend AOSiP rom.

MIUI 8.7.7.13 is based on MM? If it's so, flash firmware before installing the Rom. If it's based on nougat, then no need of firmware

How strange, this Redmi Note 4X (Mido) is not listed in the Xiaomi device list. How can you have an official ROM?

Have been using AICP since 18th July and omg that's my longest stay on any particular rom? It's flawless .. Smooth af. What i think is that at this moment most of the roms for Mido have reached a super stable stage.

IMHO CrDroid is the best ROM for this device. It has lots of useful features, the most used customizations, it's updated frequently and has great performance.
I have used that ROM on many devices and it always has worked great, but on the RN4 it really shines.
For me it's Paranoid android. Or rr if you like a lot of features, but for me AOSPA is better.

All custom ROMs on this forum will give you 8+ hours of SOT. If all you need is a "little bit" of customisations, then go for the slimmest ROMs - e.g., SlimROM, or MainstageOS, or this AOSP-CAF ROM, or any number of others. Take your pick!

Flash firmware when flashing nougat ROM (eg lineage) while marshmallow ROMs (miui). If you are in miui beta global rom on nougat then no need to flash the firmware
