I have mate 10 ALP-L29 and I wanted to change it region from middle east to china. I used HCU Unlocker to change the region and change the region from to ( hw cn ) instead of ( all cn ) and flash the latest china firmware with emui 8.1 on my phone. after the flash I understood the build number was changed and not in harmony with the region and OEM Unlock option in Developer option was grayed out. Now I can't Unlock bootloader or flash any firmware on my phone. I have a lot of bugs now and many of applications like phone manager and theme engine was disabled. :crying: Please help me what can i do??
Forgive me for bad English

I thought:
- middle east region C185 was hw/meanfaf
- china region C00 was all/cn
Never saw hw/cn, but i may be wrong...
When you are connected to a wifi network, does oem-unlock dev option still greyed out ?
HWOTA 8 Would be your life saver... Been there done that, just read the instruction and you'll be fine ?

Thank you for sharing this software with us sir.
Does it work for L01 European G7 too? I think if It does, I'll need to configure gps file later, but I'm talking about normal functions of the mobile, be able to make a call, wifi... etc
Thanks again! Hope you can answer this, bye!

I used the firmware "C432B331CUSTC432D003" for the European version.
Huawei says it's for "Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, France, Belgium and the Netherlands".

My phone is an AL00 that got converted to ALP-L29 by reseller.
Build Number is System 8.0.0.38(018L).
I don't know what firmware it is using 'cause I see everyone mentioned L29C636 and L29C432, and firmware B115 and B119, but mine is no where to be found. When I check with OTA and Hisuite it said 8.0.0.38(018L) is latest firmware. So what exactly is my firmware?

Oh sorry, it's my first time using Google Drive and seem like I can't hotlink image to here.
furiseto, seems like the reseller not fully rebrand your phone.
I've done the rebrand from AL00 to ALP-L29 with FunkyHuawei tool.
In FunkyHuawei's instructions, once the rebrand is done, the phone needs to be flashed twice with the same firmware (i chosed the latest which is B119).
After the first flash, i had same build number as you "System 8.0.0.38(018L)" and after the second flash i have now for the build number : "ALP-L29 8.0.0.119(C636)".
Maybe, you just need to flash once with latest firmware in order to have that.
See if duraaraa from the FunkyHuawei thread can help you.
Edit : from your screenshot, i have a main difference with you at the line "Version Component Version".
For that line i have : Version-ALP-L29636000 8.0.0.1(O.17110602)
Thanks, at least that sets some light to my part. Now I don't know if I should flash one time or two times, and which tool I should use. 'Cause in Funkyhuawei's instruction, the first flash uses Hisuite, while the second flash uses eRecovery. What a tricky phone.

Probably eRecovery will work. At the very least, FunkyHuawei support can determine how rebranded your phone is when you try eRecovery and can advise you from there.
Hello Guys,
iam sitting here since about 8 hours and try to unlock my new Honor 9 which i received today. But its not working so i need your help.
My Phone bought in China:
Device: Huawei Honor 9
Model No: STF-AL10
Android OS: 7.0 Nougat
EMUI Version: 5.1
Firmware: B190
Build Number: STF-AL10C00B190
Memory: 6GB / 128GB
I've installed all related driver, adb etc. Got my unlock password within 2minutes. Ive also checked that with IMEI 1, IMEI 2 and the MEID. In every case i received the same password so the password cant be wrong.
But when i try to unlock my phone with "fastboot oem unlock MYCODE" i receive the message "FAILED (remote: check password failed!)".
I noticed that i cant see the message "frp locked" on my phones screen and i really wonder why. Of course i enabled usb debugging but i dont have any oem unlock option under developer settings. Its not there. But ive read a lot and removed my fingerprints, my pin and made a soft reset. Still not working. Made a hard reset and still the same. At first i tried with B175 firmware. After that HiSuite offers a update (B190) and ive upgraded my phone. But still the same problem. Cant unlock my phone. And the question is why?
Ive made some pictures but iam not able to post them because iam new....
Nobody can help?
Here are the pictures ive made:

Your main issue lies in the total absence of oem unlocking in dev options. Fastboot commands towards that are hence useless. Like your model came with a non-unlockable bootloader... Weird. Mine mysteriously had its option in developer greyed out and unmodifiable, with a frp locked state in fastboot all of a sudden, even though I already had unlocked it... Luckily I already had TWRP and flashing Oreo cleared all my issues even retrieved capacitive buttons. As of now I have no idea to help you mate, only contacting Huawei support as suggested by them o if having issues with bootloader and/or unlocking code. Tell if you find a way, good luck.
Thank you for your answer. Yes, these china models always come with no FRP options.
But i dont read that there really exist some Honor 9 phones that are not unlockable. Hmm
Problem solved in the meanwhile.
Huawei website gave me wrong unlock code (unlock password). But i was able to extract the right one with DC tools.
My Honor 9 is unlocked, rebranded and rooted now. And iam happy.
hello,

Dears,
I managed to update my phone to the latest version with google play services without wiping my files, I was on the following versions:
(OLD Version)
Base SV
ELS-LGRP6-OVS 10.1.0.182
Cust SV
ELS-N39-CUST 10.1.0.2(C185)
Preload SV
ELS-N39-PRELOAD 10.1.0.1(C185R1)
(New version)
ELS-N39-CUST 11.0.0.2(C185)
ELS-N39-PRELOAD 11.0.0.3(C185R1)
ELS-LGRP6-OVS 11.0.0.169 (FullOTA)
there were no files for the C185 region in the Firmware finder app that let you update from 10 to 11
you can get them from here

I'm not quite sure if this exactly targets your problem, but did you try to find the Firmware with the Huawei Firm Finder ?
A quick lookup shows me the following for ELS-N39 C185:
EMUI 10 Firmware (10.1.0.***) is available and can be used for downgrading via HiSuite Proxy.
Hope this helps.

I've the same device as yours, and I'm currently on 12.0.1
I guess, the only solution is to wait for Xiaomi to start the dev branch of "sunny" roms, and provide an OTA Update.
Or you can unlock your bootloader and shift to eu rom if you want.
