Color pop feature (Google Photos) - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Themes, Apps, and Mods

So.. you can get color pop feature in google photos and it only works on lens blur photos..
Steps:-
1. Take a lens blur photo using any google camera mod..
2. Open Google Photos and open edit menu.. if you look carefully you'll see "color pop" option.
That's it.. it only works for lens blur photos for now.. google photos official Twitter posted few days ago that color pop for portraits only working for pixel and some moto devices..
Screenshot below..

The option look like this.. and edited photo..

[Q] Cyanogenmod 10 camera field of view

Hi. I'm using cyanogenmod 10 for almost 3 weeks . The camera which came with cm10 is showing less field what actually is.
Are the photos it saves a normal field of view? In other words is the problem only with the view in the camera app or is it with the saved photos too
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
This picture is shown in the gallery. You can see my printer is in view. (left side)
Also you can see the light switch(left side) is in the view
For second picture,
But in this picture you can't see my printer and my light switch.
I didn't move the camera btw just took a screenshot then pressed the capture
Any ideas?
You can't bump a thread more than once every 24 hours
I believe this is done because of the aspect ratio of your screen and the photos your camera takes. If the photo fov were to be used in the camera, there would be black bars in the camera app. You can try using another camera app from the play store to fix this.

I'm sorry. I didn't know that . Do I have to use 3rd party camera apps. Or can developers fix this problem in next updates. And can you advise me a good 3rd party app. Thanks for your help.
Do you have photo stabilization by any chance? That does reduce the fov.
No I don't have photo stabilization.
Try an app in the store called "lg camera" from memory that's the name. It has black bars which is what you want
NO no no this is not that I wanted. Actualy when I take photos with my friends they can't be seen before shooting.so sometimes they seen out of the fov but when I take photos they are in the fov. I don't want black bars or something. I mean I want to take a photo which looks exactly same in the preview.my post which has an attachment will show my problem.

I can't download it from the playstore!
It works great, I'm on SlimKat. You may need to download Xposed and install the playstore fix in case you're not on the default DPI settings.

Crashing Photosphere
The camera crashes when I try to take a photosphere. But its only after I take several shots. I can get a photosphere of about 50degrees. But anything beyond that, the app just crashes

Google Camera with HDR+ ported. Finally!

https://www.xda-developers.com/google-camera-hdr-ported/
Works on Redmi Note 4X (SD625)!
Tested on Redmi Note 4X running official Lineage OS 14.1, Camera HAL3 enabled by default
- Photo Image Stabilisation through HDR+
- (Often) more accurate exposure
- (Often) more accurate colour rendition
- (Often) sharper and more detailed shots.
- Far far more usable images in low light.
- I can actually capture some still pics of my kids! (with HDR+ turned to ON instead of AUTO)
Problem is the port is still quite buggy. Certain modes don't work. Hopefully it will be ironed out somewhere down the line.
doesn't work on omnivision sensor... Picture taken have a pink layer...
On samsung sensor,
Some captured pics have green tinted on it.
I say man , HDR+ works pretty well.
Only i had that kind of problemo
How does one get any update for the modded APK?
With sony sensor on MIUI 9 the app crashes on open.
Crashes on startup on Redmi Note 4X Snapdragon, MIUI 9
It crashes because you did not enable Camera2 API, you must add persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1 to build.prop, save it and restart phone.
Then app will work.
Already a good thread here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/themes/google-camerawith-hdr-mido-t3656196
i'm using this right now, my device have a samsung sensor if you turn off the hdr+ the photo will have a green tint on it, also slow motion is not working, i have seen a post from mi 5s users they don't have the slow motion as well but someone made a flashable zip that made the slow mo worked, i don't know if we can do that as well on our device because the mod is actually made for 820+ devices, but because of this app i never went back to miui photos are way better that miui cam

Modded Google Camera with HDR+ on Nokia 8

Since there is no such thread here yet, I wanted to start discussion about using modded Google Camera from this thread on Nokia 8 (mostly what's best configuration and version).
What doesn't work:
- Slow Motion in 6.1.x
- HDR+ in 6.1.x when number of shots is set higher than 20
What works:
- HDR+ (including auto HDR with ZSL on both front and rear cameras)
- Night Sight (only on 6.1.x ports and higher)
- Portrait mode on both front and rear cameras (replaces lens blur mode from older versions of Google Camera)
- Motion Pictures (only on Oreo and higher and only with rear camera set to 16:9 ratio and flash disabled)
- Slow Motion video recording (only on 5.x GCam, broken again on 6.1.x ports)
- Spherical photos
- Panorama
AR Playground (only with 6.1.x ports, you must also install ARCore first)
Recommended for Pie (based on GCam 6.1.x): MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova-based_v.1.2_TlnNeun.apk
Recommended for Oreo (based on GCam 5.x): GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V8.apk
Site with all APKs listed: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/
I just downloaded the version on Apotide and I don't really see anything outstanding from the first look.
What are the main benefits of Google Camera vs stock Nokia?
Should I download a different version of Google Camera from somewhere?
Sent from my TA-1012 using Tapatalk
Main benefit is better HDR algorithm and thus better photos in low light conditions. I also think that auto focus in Google Camera works better (it's easier to get focus on the point you want and it stays there until you take a photo) or something else that makes photos from Google Camera less blurry than ones from Nokia Camera.
As for the versions - since they are mostly made for OnePlus, some version work better, some worse with other smartphones as they contain modifications for specific models.
I really miss the HDR from Nokia / Microsoft Lumia.. The pictures were always amazing compared to my wife's iPhone.
Will give Google camera a proper test and see how it goes.

I finally got Oreo update and those colorful lines (artifacts) are gone, so it seems to be a bug on Nougat only.
Yes I noticed the colour artifacts are gone too. I have the BSC and Arnova apps both installed. I use the BSC app with high parameters for still or more detailed shots and the Arnova is my quicklaunch camera, set to 8mp with Motion Photos enabled and HDR parameters set to default. I also turn camera.faces and camera.shot_tracking on in developer settings.

HDR with the Google Camera app can yield spectacular results. A relative was out with me at a Christmas fayre yesterday evening and we both took a photo of a nice tree - him on his Samsung S8+ and me on my Nokia 8. Mine looked *loads* better.
Which version of Google Camera are you using? Original or a mod version?

Samsung S8+ on the right, Nokia 8 with Arnova Pixel APK on the left. No modifications.

BSC? Arnova? Never heard of either apps. Unless with BSC you mean B-S-G. Never mind, just didn't look at the OP closely enough.

Is there any way to make Google photos save to SD card?
It's putting everything on internal and I want it in my normal SD card folder.

Pixels don't have a card slot, which is why the app has no option written into it to save to SD card.
Ah good point.
This is frustrating for me but I will test the app a bit more to see if the image quality makes up for this.

You do have 64GB or 128GB internal to play with, so at the very least you could just occasionally open Google's FilesGo app and tick the 'move to SD' option, or use Google Photos' delete from device option if you're happy to have them in the cloud.
Since installing the G camera apk both stock and G camera are taking too long to open and constantly hanging and making the phone unresponsive so I have unistalled it for now.
I'll try one of the other versions later.
Google Camera producing much better detailed photos compared to Nokia camera app. For sure, the images have more noise, less sharpness and bigger filesize. But at least it has more details, more smoothness and less jaggy pixels.
When I need better images, I use my 808PV.
Using GCam 5.1 Arnova v1.0 on Nokia Oreo.
Small comparison I made. There's a big difference in favor of the Google camera.
Been using it from day 1, Back camera indeed captures better photos compared to stock app
For those who wish to be participated in Google camera mod

Note: bsg latest version not working, gives force close error.

[APP] GCam Tool - stops front camera mirroring, moves portrait photos automatically

GCam Tool's primary purpose was to move portrait mode burst photos from their own sub-folders to the main gallery, keeping whichever photos the user wants (background blurred or non-blurred) while discarding the rest. Since then, I have been getting mails from users who wanted the app to move not just portrait mode but even normal photos.
With GCam Tool 2.0, all photos (even panorama and photosphere) are moved automatically in the background. If you want to save portrait mode photos into a different folder, this must be the easiest way.
Another request I got was regarding the way Google Camera took selfies. Most OEM camera apps give you the option to save the front camera image just like you see in camera preview. Strangely Google Camera doesn't allow this and always saves the image flipped. With v2.0, GCam Tool can now detect front camera photos and prevent it from being flipped.
I must give the disclaimer that this is an experimental feature. Google doesn't provide any sort of API for developers to detect whether a photo was taken with front or back camera. I had to come up with my own method of detecting that. I tested on S8+, OnePlus 3 and Redmi Note 4 and it worked fine. If this feature fails on your phone, please let me know the device model as well as the Android version.
Please try the app and let me know your feedback. If you like it, please take a moment to rate and review on Play Store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apptuners.gcamtool
Selfie picture is flipped to get right perspective, even xperia devices do this. The problem is that you shot something different from what you see in the display preview. You can easily adjust the picture with apps like snapseed or others.
had a tasker profile for that but tried your app. like it and upgraded to pro?
Very good app.. Upgraded to Pro but the app is crashing when i try to do batch move
Another Pixel 2 XL owner reported the same issue. I can't reproduce it on my S8+. Could you please write to [email protected]? I would like to figure out what's happening and fix it.

Unfortunately I couldn't figure it out yet. After moving photos, the app calls Mediascan service which should inform the OS about new images and as such it must appear in the camera slide to photo gallery. But somehow that is not working.
Working great thanks ?

Hey! I saw the flip prevention feature and bought pro immediately to try it out, sadly it didn't work and after I restarted my device the checkbox disappeared from the settings page. I'm using a Pixel 2 XL on 8.1 April update.
EDIT: There's no disappearing checkbox bug, that was just me.

It shouldn't affect if you have set the target folder to sync with Google Photos

I am assuming you are talking about gallery that you see when you slide to right inside Google Camera. Even though all files are moved correctly in the background, that gallery has some issue with refreshing thumbnails. The app even calls mediascan after moving files, which should have fixed the issue. But that gallery app still won't refresh.
Third party gallery apps do not seem to have this issue.
