Hey @andr68rus again many thanks for your hard work for our device bringing another beautiful rom.
It looks like you made two threads for nitrogen OS. one with correct Subject but other has nitrogen OS with the subject of Omni OS. That wrong subjected thread may confuse users from original Omni OS thread.
Again we are really happy to see another pie under the development of andr68rus.
Edit: now it is correct.
Can I install it instead of another treble ROM? You wrote that I have to install firmware, then your ROM. Is it nessessary if I already have trebelized ROM?

Always continue with the same question for years for every new rom. Why do not you try it yourself? The rom is from October 14th, do you think that you can already evaluate the performance of the battery? Take a break and try the rom for once.
---------- Post added at 06:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:28 PM ----------
After a day of use it seems like excellent rom and I keep it on my x2. Thanks @xyyx and @andr68rus I sincerely hope that the development goes on with continuity.
Very good antutu score. Very fluid ROM.

Why don't you save your advices yourself. I don't have time to try every new rom on the forum. So I ask a simple thing.. As a user of this rom is it too hard for you to take ss of your battery usage and share it??....

cant receive and send message......no mesaage app installed.
Great rom.
Camera switching works fast, unlike other Pie roms.
Also landscape pictures sent in fb messenger are sent as landscape.
Also battery life is decent. (Will provide screenshots in the next 1-3 days)
P.S: I dirty-flashed it from Arrow OS and it worked flawlessly.
Are there any microphone problems, as there seem to be in all other pie ROMs so far? I am referring to the issue where the mic sometimes stops working for social media apps (LINE, Messenger, WhatsApp etc) and Assistant. I have found that this problem occurs after using Bluetooth devices.
New build 16 Nov has spectrum profiles in device features, Shiva kernel variant, must be more piwersave. About SMS app: will add it next build.

No Sim card for me...
Awesome to see this here!
Enviado desde mi Nexus 5X mediante Tapatalk
Can't get this to boot. Did full wipe, waiting 10+ minutes just hangs at the google splash screen for me. Any ideas? I don't typically have any issues with other roms, but I want to give this a try.

No SIM card detected + 'Internal system error' on 12th March build. Is the intended fix in tomorrow's release? Otherwise the ROM boots very beautifully and all!

Hey its working with latest build on server.
Everything works just do a clean flash with current build along with proper opengapps 64bit micro
I have just one big request: please fix 'OK Google Anywhere'. Just like on CM, it doesn't work here. The same bug also applies - when you set a voice model and reopen Google Now, if you disable the 'OK Google Anywhere' it immediately turns on again.
OK BullHead online,
everything works
Thanks for each one of you without u guys it could be difficult to understand whats going on !
Will make more stable on your feedback inputs .. Please try our latest build along with arm64bit opengapps
I wish i could have this device to make it perfect release ( initially (at-least someone donates to buy )

I have tried OpenGapps, SlimGapps and Banks Gapps - they all fail on CM (and Exodus ROM). It works on every AOSP-based ROM and it doesn't work on any CM-based ROM. Believe me, I have tried every ROM available for the Nexus 5X. I am running newest vendor (release 22, build number ending with 'J'). This issue appears to be widely known with CyanogenMod and frankly nobody ever fixed it.
Today's build works fine for me, thanks! And it seems very snappy, too!
Bugs found: no Bullhead in Exodus updater, so feature not working.
Suggestions: the display is set in cooler color mode, no way to change it; smart pulldown for notifications (no notifications, quick settings will appear); quick settings edit/rearrange; silent/vibrate mode chooser in power menu.

Hi. I found a solution for rooting problem. Though SuperSU dosen't work, Magisk works. But flashing Magisk-v12.0.zip is not enough and Magisk Manager app is no longer available in Playstore. You have to download it from another source. After installing Magisk Manager app everything works fine. Also very good is that I can choose camera app. I've tested Camera FV-5 and Open Camera and both work smooth and exact. V4A also works fine.
Now for me it's a perfect ROM.

NFC dont work, will fix today.
I have LEX722 for testing, so cant check it.
Looks good. There is a lack of adding functions to the keys under the screen. No visualization of network traffic. Cool dark theme.
Thank you, it's great to see that devs haven't stopped giving some love to our device
i am gonna cry.. Omni is back!!!
Went back to Paranoid 7.3.5, but when all bugs are fixed, I will definitley test this out! I'm hyped for OMNI ROM, thanks for developing!

When it was nougat, i am maintain omni official for le max 2. For oreo we dont support leeco. And for pie I decide to continue this work. Darkobas has many work with op6 and rom source, so I am buying few days ago LEX727 for develop and tests. (All the more so we have one common tree for max2 and pro3 devices).

@andr68rus, Thank you so much for giving us another pie option.
I am getting ready to install and test this build, so I cannot test NFC yet. However, @qqzwc NFC built a fix for the stellar Lineage 16.0. Here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77922112&postcount=397
Perhaps you could integrate his solution into this Rom and save some time.
FYI: I've excellent results using Lineage 16.0 along with Magisk Canary builds and the Arnova Pixel 3 Camera

Thanks, but it's not a patcher for nfc fix, it's only a modification for nfc card emulation and smartcard service fix.
A easy way to fix nfc card emulation is to modify /vendor/etc/libnfc-nxp.conf.
For NFC fixing, just look into the lineage review and search "nfc".
I will test this ROM later, thanks for the building

Very good job. Rom promises to be great. I noticed here and on lineage 16 that for both graphic menu, settings are cut. I see that at a friend on the Samsung S7 edge. Maybe it's the blame of switching the launcher into an evie launcher.
@andr68rus, thanks for your new ROM! I confirm that NFC is working! I have just a force close with Kodi: I'll try to send you, as soon as possible, a log. The camera you suggested is perfect! I can't find some (not important) stuffs: percentage of battery, battery icons...: are there in the ROM or they will be implemented?

Here it is finally: the officially xda-thread for my unofficial J5-2016 builds.
They have been already used for 6 weeks or so.
I currently compile a (untested for j5xnlte) TWRP, that can be used together with this ROM. On my FN (2015) it can decrypt the device (if it is encrypted of course) and it has experimental functionality to work with mixed external storage by @Captain_Throwback[/STRIKE @nkk71 (https://gerrit.omnirom.org/32036).
EDIT:
I erroneously gave the credits to @Captain_Throwback who"just" cherry-picked the patch by @nkk71, who is no longer with us, but should get the credits for this, of course.
I should have seen that and apologize for this error.
Changelog
Changelog (the same as for 2015 devices)
Nice rom I can confirm wifi bluetooth hotspot are all working and both sims are perfect sound is crystal clear on both and the clearest I have heard of any aosp rom.Only bug for me is the google assistant's sound comes and goes for about a minute and then is stable after that.Music is superb on this build no problems whatsoever.Nice ui and not bloated.A great rom and thanks to developer and people that helped to build this Pie rom.Great work.
Thanks a lot for this nice rom stable and smooth everything is ok,
But two apps like Facebook and YouTube not running at the same time it bit laggy and you should remove battery then restart,
Please make some nice kernel for this rom
---------- Post added at 11:12 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:11 AM ----------
Not Marshmallow just need nougat
The best ROM on this device! Thanks so much. ?
Please double tap screen on function
Change mixer path.xml sounds volume to 90 from 84
Add fast charging option like Vince lineage is pie
Thank you for making the thread!!!!!! You are the best!!!!!!!
---------- Post added at 01:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:33 PM ----------
And the ROM works fine on Nougat Bootloader no need to downgrade to Marshmallow
Nice Pie aosp knocking on door...
Thank you for your great work, I installed your rom on my J510L, it's so fast, so smooth than any rom. But, uh sim card was not detected, no network. Please, add full support to this model. If you need essential files from its official firmware, I could help you with it.
Best ROM I have tried for the J5 2016. It works perfect besides the volume which is a bit too low but can be fixed by installing ViperFX. Great job !
Its possible to port drivers from adreno 308 or 330 to 306 ??
I will try this ROM for a bit, for now it works fine even if it's very laggy the ui

Till this moment, I'm on this build only, since it was released. So far, I've faced no issues whatsoever. Stable, snappy, feature packed (though not like havoc or RR) this ROM is worth a try. I don't plan to switch from it anytime soon. Also, to add to all of it, sysserv is also there (obviously!).

You can make a backup of your apps with Titanium Backup.
Then download Gapps and Rom and boot to Recovery.
With Recovery you can :
Backup your current ROM
Wipe System, Data, Cache and Dalvik
Flash Rom
Flash Gapps
Flash Magisk 19.2 (Optional if you want root)
Reboot
Restore your apps with Titanium after setting up device
And you're good to go!
I am on 31-5 build. Can i dirty flash the new update??

The 04-06 build is working awesomely..
1. Good Battery backup with default kernel.
2. Wifi connection is lot stable.
3. Customisations are perfectly adequate.
4. Fingerprint is very responsive.
Certainly my Daily Driver.
If possible can you change VoLIT to VoLTE?
Thank you @sandy108 for this wonderful ROM
I've to say that apparently this rom isn't optimized for games, in pubg it isn't even fluid using 'gfx' the game freezes frequently and that isn't lag or high latency is something that goes wrong... I do not know, something that is not happening to me in stock, I do not know if it only happens to me, but from there on out the rest goes very well in this aosip ROM.
