Hey all, i noticed people were asking for a "exercise/fitness" app like ifitness.
this is html one i was developing so made it into a quick widget for you all to see.
its main design is to be a guide.
this is a beta look and feel, i'll start filling out the exercises soon.
iv given it a nice nike+ look as i love the orange !
is been developed for Wvga 480x800 first.
ideas/development..
it will be split into male and female
it will have things like..
Intake, Nutrition and Diet, Weight lifting, Strength Training,
Cardiovascular Exercises, Weight Loss, Aerobic, Motivation,
Preventing Injuries, Avoid cheating, Calculators.
iv put in as much as i can about water intake and Vitamins & Minerals.
im playing around with a BMI Calculator to fit in there too.
im trying a kcal Calculator soon.
im hoping someone brilliant could make a nice flashlite jog meter
also when i can get embed wmp to work or a nice flashlite player maybe we can have music too
im open to ideas and info or people who want to work on it too.. hope you all like !
There should be a way to use the accelerometer as a pedometer. And, a body fat % calculator would be nice.
maybe a cab, instead of a zip? :X
and a food log..
Hey, first of all, THANK YOU! For reals, thanks for taking the time to develop such an app. Now moving on to suggestions
I mostly do weight lifting and some jogging so my suggestions would be these:
- Include a catalogue of available weight lifting exercises (www.bodybuilding.com is an excellent resource)
- Add the ability to create a weight lifting schedule that works as following:
Design a schedule beforehand and fill in sets/reps/weight
This mode would have weight lifting days pre-set by the user (for example I have a chest-lifting day, in which I do bench press, incline bench press and a couple more. I'd like the ability for that to have been designed beforehand by me, and I'd insert the weight/set/reps on the spot during my workout)
Design a schedule on the fly
Start with an empty training day and add exercises/sets/reps/weight on the fly.
It goes without saying that each set should have its own reps and weight
Awesome work so far mate, keep it up!
PS. Haven't tested the app yet, will do so as soon as I can.
Thanks for developing this, love it already =d
Well I have been looking for something like this for a long time.
It would be nice to have the calories intake measured.
One way to do this would be for people for people to use the label of the article to help them input the right data:
If they weigh the food (cereals / chocolates / anything that has a label), and put the weight in grams (example, as I live in Europe), and the calories for 100g, the program could calculate how much calories they consumed.
It would then add them all up, and tell you how much calories you’ve consumed.
It could have some database of some food like fruits that do not come with a label of how much calories per gram they have.
If it could calculate too, how much calories you’ve burned during the training session, it could even tell you if you’ve consumed more calories then you’ve put in the body (witch is what you need to do in order to loose weight).
Regarding the training:
It would be nice to have some specific areas trained, so if you want to train your biceps, you could find 2-3 exercises to do it.
In training some muscles should be trained together (during the same training session), so it would be nice to have it do a training session A for day 1 and B for day 2.
Third request would be if it could have a timer, so that people know how much they are resting (between the series). If they need to rest 30 seconds it should not be 2 minutes.
I know this information is not new to many, but this would be the things I would look for in a program like this.
Good luck and let me know what you think about my suggestions.
i love the idea, if you want me to help out with anything to do with graphics, please ask. i am a photoshop nut, and i could help make the screens look even prettier also if you need, i could help resize things for other resolutions ex: qvga or vga. again great idea =]
edit: as for the player for music i dug this up on another site...
"From Wikipedia "The Advanced Stream Redirector (ASX) format is a type of XML metafile designed to store a list of Windows Media files to play during a multimedia presentation."
Flash doesn't play any windows media native files. It only plays Flash video files (flv) and Mpeg4 (h.264 encoded) either as a .mp4 or .mov file. So to get that to play in Flash you'll need to figure out how to convert it to a file type that flash understands or look into something microsoft native like silverlight." - http://www.ozzu.com/flash-forum/playing-asx-files-flash-player-t103840.html
as for a m3u playlist it appears possible....
a commercial piece of software, proving the point http://www.draftlight.net/dnex/mp3player/
maybe useful if you use wmp: http://www.nunzioweb.com/streaming_audio-example.htm
and another link just in case http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=287996
hope i helped.
Withings wifi scale integration, like iPhone Wiscale...

I'm trying it out. Looks very cool
Some links
If you need some workout / nutrition info here are some good sites. The first link has a list of all the different muscles and exercises that you can do to work them out along with an animated gif of the exercise in question. The second link is just a food database. Maybe these can help give you some ideas to incorporate into your program.

Nice work - I look forward to seeing some content
Thank You!
Some nice work here. A couple of suggestions that might ancrease it's appeal, and a question.
I installed the program and ran it. It then put a bunch of files into the Main Memory of my HD2 without asking permission. Naughty! Naughty! For various reasons I need every Mb of storage I can keep, so this was a problem. It resulted in memory management issues that drained my battery like crazy, so sadly, I had to un-install it
The program was not fully uninstalled via the phone, and there is no uninstaller in the package, so I 'm going to manually delete all the related files I can find. I suggest that you either provide an uninstaller program or a complete set of un-installation instructions.
And please! set the program to be installe din the Storage Card! I would really like to give it a serious workout!
Thanks again - and keep Developing!

One neat idea would be food log integration.
As in built in foods with calories that you can search through, including fast foods and such.
Also camera/barcode integration, so you could just scan the barcode and it looks up the food and it's calories/nutrition info.
I know those are a big big reach, and probably not likely but they would help make your app complete.
Also if possible the calorie burned exercise should be weight specific, i.e a heavier person doing 2 miles would burn more than a light person doing 2 miles at the same pace.
Hi guys,
I would like to try this app but my Windows Mobile version is 6.1 due to the fact that is much quicker than 6.5 on my Smartphone (I have a Blackstone).
Could you please provide this app as a CAB installation file as WGT files aren't supported in this version of WinMo?
Thanks and regards,
Elvis

yes i believe so i have seen a nokia widget that uses g-sensor in html so should be possible. the bmi calc tells you % fat when you type in hight+weight.

i may do it as cab for those who do not have widget engine.. this will be open with native browser. as for food log i cant do html that remembers things yet.

-im adding kcal intake calc soon so you type them in and it calcs if you have eaten more or less than 2500kcal.
-database of foods without labels is good idea.
-not sure how i would work out calories burned.
-thats the idea lol
-hmm could put a small configurable timer in each exercise page

- .wgt files always install to main memory, .cab you chose.
- uninstall via settings uninstall programs.. should be in the list like mine.
yes i will try doing as cab file sometime.
well i like working out for the looks more than the weight gain, so if you can add some Calisthenics Exercises with like daily reminders and routines you have to follow. like make an alarm go off when its time to do your exercises..
but anyways add alot of Calisthenics Exercises, thanks........
Hi guys.
I'm still waiting for the CAB version.

I've been trying to find a nav app that will let me import pre-planned trips.
In my research I found only two; 1) copilot, 2) HTC Locations with Trips tab.
Well I can't stand #1, and it seems that #2 was only available in Asia, unless I'm missing something? it seems like a feature that should be standard as it has since the first days of dedicated gps devices but it still hasn't arrived on Android, not even in the Google suite of apps despite the constant posts in the Google forums requesting this function.
being able to create a specific route or record a route for the purpose of sharing and reuse I don't think is a lot to ask.
until this happens their will always be a market for a dedicated GPS.

It supports a number of different maps that can be side loaded on your sdcard so no data connection is needed.

that's a nice non-data tracker, like Google's My Tracks without the 3g map, thx..... but I still can't record for vehicle nav with text to speech which is what I'd really like.

that looks like a perfect companion to my Colorado GPS! I tracked our whole summer holiday with it, but it's be great to be able to see that track on a mobile device (that's a bit larger than that 2-something inch screen that my Colorado has )
I and all you guys may met that problems many times before, and after doing many test I can see the cause of the problem. This time I show you one case I have just done it few hours ago:
- First I'm using iphone (but it not effect to the test)
- Amazfit app, change to us verson (simple just change the region to my country), so it will sync the activity to Strava.
- Watch Rom: us official 1.3.3a (the result is the same with dev PACEfied rom)
- Do the ride test around, with many turn.
- Sync the activity to Strava, go to strava export TCX file.
- Export TCX file directly from the watch. (How to)
****Okay, now compare:
Strava activity link: https://www.strava.com/activities/1068275813
TCX file export from strava and watch (see attachment files)
How to compare: import TCX files to this size: http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/map_input?form=google
The result you can see at pictures attachment.
****Conclusion:
- The original GPS file from the watch is very good, no drifting at all.
- After syncing to Strava, GPS route change alot, drifting happens.
- So the issue here is the step "syncing to Strava"
****Solution:
I have no solution, because I am not the engineer from Huami, I hope people from Huami/Xiaomi see this post and will fix this problem. I have read many feedback from Amazon, Facebook group that they have to give back the watch because the drifting problem. Maybe Strava is not fair to change something when syncing (my thinking). The watch is really good but this problem made many people disappointed.
It is "easy" to spot what happens.
while the Amazfit saves the coordinates with 15 decimal places Strava uses only 6 ( and adds a 0 ).
If we take the first entry
Amazfit:
<Time>2017-07-05T04:35:20Z</Time>
<Position>
<LatitudeDegrees>10.391833305358887</LatitudeDegrees>
<LongitudeDegrees>107.10086822509766</LongitudeDegrees>
</Position>
</Trackpoint>
Strava
<Time>2017-07-05T04:35:20Z</Time>
<Position>
<LatitudeDegrees>10.3918330</LatitudeDegrees>
<LongitudeDegrees>107.1008680</LongitudeDegrees>
</Position>
You can see that there is a difference, but a small one ( ~13cm )
If you then go to
Amazfit:
<Time>2017-07-05T04:40:57Z</Time>
<Position>
<LatitudeDegrees>10.385744094848633</LatitudeDegrees>
<LongitudeDegrees>107.11280822753906</LongitudeDegrees>
</Position>
Strava
<Time>2017-07-05T04:40:57Z</Time>
<Position>
<LatitudeDegrees>10.3857360</LatitudeDegrees>
<LongitudeDegrees>107.1127090</LongitudeDegrees>
</Position>
Here the difference is ~10.8 meters.
so you want to tell me that the watch is very precise and Strava is castrating down the results ?!?!?!!
I have installed the python scripts and extracted the data to GPX files.
One of them I uploaded to Strava and then re downloaded it again.
And the downloaded one was with Single precision.
But it was only off on a few points in a 12.5 Km run.
So it is a combination of Strava storing everything as a single ( not double ) .
But even there the data from the Amazfit was drifting, but it was a run through a forest.
If it was only for the precision it wouldn't really matter that much ( maximum of ~0.5 meters ).
So it seems that
1 - The Amazfit is drifting, and
2 - the upload to Strava sometimes does a strange "correction" to the data.
Thanks a lot Trần :good: this has been reported to the team and we are looking into it.

Just my thinking, the problem happened when syncing to Strava, and we got the bad final result.

Thank you so much for your responding! :good:
Single/double Precision is a programming/computing term.
Compared to Double they have a smaller range and therefore are easier to store, but not as accurate.
1.2.27 CN
[bold]- Update the GPS firmware
- Optimize the drift of GPS
[/bold]
- New voice control meter air purifier function (such as: open the living room of the air purifier, the air purifier set to automatic mode)
- Repair of some cases caused by the speed or speed display abnormal situation
@netzkobold:
Can we expect this for the pace ( US ) as well?
Has anyone reported this solution to the Huami- team and got a positive feedback to solve the problem in the next update?

If netzkobold said that it was reported to the team, trust me, Huami are working on it.
I also have this problem. The drift is sometimes 20+ meters from the road so some Strava segments are not captured. I have downloaded the raw data from the watch (gpx file via python script) and uploaded that manually to Strava and it is perfect. Definitely something is happening when you sync to Strava via the Amazfit app. I can upload my files if anyone is interested.
I made a standalone navigation app for Wear OS! Here's the link to the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.onibaku.standalonewearmap
Here's the full description on the app so you can get a glance at the features:
Users can type in a location, or long press on the map to input a destination. They can choose to travel via walking, cycling or car.
The app will navigate the user from their current location to the destination using turn-by-turn navigation. Each step is highlighted on the path, with text to show you what action to take, and how long until you reach that step. The map rotates along with the device, so will follow the forward-facing direction of the watch.
The app only needs an internet connection for the initial retrieval of the directions. After that, it solely relies on GPS until the user arrives at the destination.
This (obviously) only works on watches that have GPS.
If you have any suggestions at all, I'd love to know them.
The next feature I plan to implement is importing a GPX file in from Google Drive, so you can navigate a more unorthodox/scenic route, which would suits cyclists. I initially developed this for when I go cycling, as we don't usually want to take the fastest route somewhere.
Let me know if there any burning features that are needed in this, and I'll do my best to deliver. This is a small side-project, so I don't have too much time to work on it, but I find it quite useful personally, and I hope others will, too.
Someone suggested I release a demo version so people can try it and see if they wish to buy it. I have released one here
It only has the dropped pin functionality, and only allows walking as a navigation mode. The zoom is also locked.

This is looking really good. I want true standalone navigation on my Huawei Watch 2 4G. It has a sim so loads the route standalone and seems to be able to do everything expected...i'm trying the demo version now.
One question though...unless i'm missing something..how do you exit the app? I'm currently having to force close it.
(And as a side note have you checked out the Wear OS app Ghostracer? You can import a gpx file and follow your progress on a map on the watch. Maps are downloadable to the watch, although ive never tried that. My watch has a sim so updates the map as im riding using the watches data. Heavy on the battery though.)

I had not realised that the app does not cease to use GPS whilst it is in sleep mode, so I have added a button to exit the app properly when you drag down. I've just released it now.
I have had a look at it, but it doesn't seem to work unless you have an android phone. I am currently looking into offline maps and importing GPX files. Do you know if it does that via the android app, and how it imports it? I was looking to use Google drive, as that seems to be the only viable storage solution supported on Wear atm.

Thankyou for the exit button, works great. Having tested the demo app i'm happy, and I will purchase. One further comment, the battery drain is heavy, as expected. Any chance of an ambient mode while the map is running to save battery? I may be pushing my luck, but I can only ask!
Ghostracer does indeed need a companion Android app on the phone. The gpx file is loaded into the app on the phone (using a file manager) then passed to the Ghostracer app on the watch. Maps are treated the same, but I just use the data from my sim in the watch to load maps as I ride when needed. You can follow a gpx route standalone on the watch in a similar way to following the route on your app. I am not connected to Ghostracer in any way, I just think its a wonderful app for cyclists and runners (within the watches battery limitations). And the free version allows you to test all its features. It might not be right for you, but it was worth a mention based on what you said earlier. (And the map screen has an ambient mode.... )

Great . I did play around with the ambient mode, but it was just the same as the standard google maps ambient mode. It takes away the turn-by-turn, location, and path. If I could persist these, and set the GPS to update every 30 secs - 1 minute, I'd probably keep it, but I'm not sure how. I'd like to stick in options to set the GPS update frequency, or have the screen turn back on only for upcoming turns.
That's really cool! That's essentially what I would have liked on my watch but standalone. I really don't like the idea that you HAVE to use a companion app, especially when it's not available for iOS. I know they're competing watches, but I love the price point of android watches compared to Apple's, and their features shouldn't pale in comparison by way of hardware.
How does their ambient map work, if you don't mind me asking? I'd like to look into it. What does their paid version allow you to do? I only had a paid version before someone mentioned to put the free one on, just to give people a flavour of it. I tried to emphasise the main bit, which was the turn-by-turn navigation. The search and other transportation modes were secondary.
Cheers for the feedback and suggestions, though! I really do appreciate it! Let me know if there's anything else you'd like.

Ghostracers ambient map is black background with white markings until you lift your wrist...but that might not work when using your app while driving (watch off the wrist?).
I've now purchased your app (Google made that hard work!)...all still good. One question...when I zoom the map in the map un-zooms straight back. Any way to make the zoom stick?

Do the markings include the path/trail? I've used the black background one before, and the building outlines are (kinda) white. Yeah, I do have my watch affixed to my handlebars on my bicycle.
Great - Thanks! It's much appreciated! How come it was hard work, if you don't mind me asking? Ah, yep. That was one of the first things I forgot to change! I completely forgot about it! I've made it so that if you zoom/pan, it'll stick unless you press the "my location" button again.
Huawei watch 2 built-in GPS not working anymore

(And the map screen has an ambient mode.... )

Hi ruggs1234, it was a long time since you wrote your experience with this app. I downloaded the demo today and I tested it. Looks like since last Google's update, the huawei watch 2 doesn't use its built-in standalone GPS. Please, would you mind to check whether you are having this problem now? The only way I got it work was by connecting the watch to a phone through Bluetooth.
Kind regards, Angel

Hello Angel,
The app still works ok on my watch, I tested it yesterday.
With my phone switched OFF I use my watches inbuilt sim to start the route (the app needs data to download the initial route, it can use the connected mobile but mine was switched off). I then switch off the sim in my watch and follow the route using only the gps in the watch. The app worked as it always has.
HOWEVER, my watch isn't running the latest version of Wear OS (it's running Wear OS 2.0, Home app 2.16). I never update anything Google if i'm not forced too, their updates often break more things than they fix. Everything I use on the watch works great and i'd like it to stay that way....
Hi,
well, I gave it a test (full paid version) - TicWatch 3 Pro 4g/LTE (all up to date). It doesn't work. All tested in standalone mode (no phone involved).
- app crashes when there is no GPS fix (GPS is on, but no fix yet)
- when I set an route to navigate (pin or search) it just endlessly shows progress circle and nothing else happens (GPS on with fix, LTE on and working)
So...
BR, Doman.
I installed the Demo version on my ticwatch 3 pro gps (updated everything to current versions and no modifications (yet))
App is starting, map is not showing, just the gps location button on the left and a white/grey screen. I can pin a location on the white screen and its actually getting a location next to me and tries to route there - but without any map showing.
Any app for Gear S3 ?
Hi,
I want to introduce you my new App for Amazfit Stratos.
It has an App for your watch and an App for your mobile. It records your routes and allows you to upload them to Google Fit and Strava.
The main difference between this one and the default one is the size of the numbers. This one is good for people with presbyopia like me
You can download the Apk for the watch reading the App Help here https://bilbosoft.wordpress.com/2018/10/23/help-speed-for-amazfit/
The mobile App is hosted at Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pacosal.speedforamazfitmobile
Try it and give me feedback.
Thanks
Any feedback?
nice work!
How does it interacts with the built-in system? do you rely on your own connection to Strava?

The Watch App records the route and when you finish, it sends it to the mobile App that uploads it to Strava
I like the idea since this could be another step to a completely offline solution. Are the data fields costumable? Why do you use blue background? Black on white or white on black seems to me giving the best contrast.
Can't try this out though, since I own a Pace.
If have this app for the Sony Smartband Talk SWR30 and the issue is the distance displayed with 100m resolution. Not very usefull for walk, better for motor engine

The background is black!
The data are fixed.
I will change the Watch App to support Pace as well.

Hi Pacosal,
I am using Amazfit Stratos,
1) is this App calculate the distance itself or read the distance from sport activity?
2) when using this App, is the watch will record the sport activity?

I like to try on this apk, because the Amazfit give me the different mileage as compare to gpx file,
1) will it void the warranty after install this apk?
2) is it possible to uninstall this apk later if I feel not comfortable with it?
Thank you

Installing ANY APK won't void warranty, and you can uninstall them any time you want, at most a factory reset will remove all installed APK.
That being said, if you get "wrong" distances on watch/Amazfit, you may want to check if 3D Data is enabled, it uses the altitude to calculate the correct distance. If it's disabled or OK, then try disabling auto-pause or choose something different than "stand still", as it's very sensitive and may produce errors.
I installed this app onto my Amazfit Stratos and test it (on vehicle),
During the test, ’Workout’ remain zero, what is it?
after i press, upper button, the App turn to ’pause’ , but immediately turn to ’running’ again, when the car stop, the App will also automatic turn to ’pause’, in the setting on the phone, i choose no ’automatic pause’, below is the setting on phone,
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CgFCZAanmtUoKXMCXw3lZSCCIF3G07Fa/view?usp=drivesdk
After the test, i press the middle button to stop, and select to save the track, below is the result shown on phone,
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rY7jbxDPtGPHnflTWTfhspqZFXX5xG8l/view?usp=drivesdk
But the date and time shown very strange, ’workout’ also shown zero.
Also no track record sent to Strava, where I can download it?
Hi pacosal,
I like that app, congratulation for your work.
I was looking an app like this ... for running with my xiaomi m365 ... eheheheheh ... but the numbers (even so) are still small
Will it be possible to make a new screen only instantaneous speed and travelled distance ... with BIG BIG numbers? ehehehehehe
I don't understand this App !
Hello , I want to thank you first for you work on this app. I'm also did some apps for android with Eclipse....
But I tried the app, and the displays seem not very simple to understand on my stratos. When I'm moving I can't also identify where is the speed ? the total time ? almost is 0000, sometimes a number seems to be the km/h but not very sure and not accurate at all. Idem for time. There is still to worrk !

Hello pacosal,
Thanks very much for the app. A very useful layout of the screen.
I just have one problem. You say that the right top button should be used start/stop. However in my case this button always sends me back to the home screen. I see no way to configure that differently. So I don't see a way to start recording. What am I missing?
Just one spelling hint, stopped is written with two "p"'s.
Thanks again!
Hi,
Thank you for developping apps for Stratos.
I'm also a presbyopia (as majority of >50 years old).
I'm looking for a simple app which displays the date of the day such as : Monday 29 May with very very big fonts.
