Are there any watchfaces that will display the countdown timer?
Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using Tapatalk
What watch are you asking about?
If it's the Bip, then no, you can't view the timer from the watchface with the stock firmware. Watch faces can only display time, date, am/pm, battery level, steps, progress to steps goal, calorie count, heart rate, bluetooth status, whether the screen is locked or unlocked, whether 'do not disturb' is active, whether an alarm is set, temperature, air quality, and weather.
If it's not the Bip, someone else will have to chime in with an answer.
Sorry should of mentioned it's the Pace

I thought of something that could be built using the free calendar app or possibly the timer, and I think it would have some value. I'd like to see an app that would watch the Gear Fit pedometer and send an alert if it hadn't moved a set amount forward in a user-set time period. For example, if the pedometer was at 2000 steps at 10AM and this app recorded that, and the user had set an interval of one hour in the app for the notification and 200 steps for the increment they wanted to achieve, then at 11AM the app would check the old pedometer reading against the new pedometer reading to see if it had advanced more or less than the preset increment - then the app would create an alarm event if the pedometer was lower than the target, and not create an alarm if the pedometer was over the target value. The alarms would stay on the calendar, and would be snoozed or answered as they are today. A second feature would make the app do this at the user-determined intervals between two set times, say 8AM and 8PM on each day - otherwise it would bother users at night.
Do you think this would be possible? useful?
Unfortunately, before buying this band, I had made a lot of research and reading people's reviews on this device but there are just simple touch and go writings which do not really provide a better understanding for people to understand this Smartband and its potential. I do hope I could rejoy whoever using this smart device with its pros and care its cons.
Design
Just like the Fitbit and Jawbone, SWR10 was well-known with its minimalistic yet futuristic looking. Simple structure with high quality strap which is amazingly comfortable to be worn. The textured finishing with a silver colour button made the smartband looks simple and premium. The texture difference between top and bottom of the strap brought a unique outlook when it was came with colours other than black. Featuring a feather-weighted core (main part) did really made users to forget its existence occasionally.
Pros
As rated IP58, the smartband was a water resistant device which brings no fear when you wearing it for bathing and swimming. But NOT FOR SEAWATER! For dust proof aspect, it was not perfect to be burried into fine sand. Checkout the IP rating list for more details.
SWR10 was a life companion as it works perfectly with Lifelog app when both of them not as simple as just a fitness tracking combination, but they do record down your daily activities like the moment when you USING YOUR PHONE for social networking and entertaining. It records the moment when you trigger the camera button and what the photos you take, and even more. Just a double presses on the button at the side of the core, the smartband capture your LifeBookmark and send to the Lifelog to bookmark your interesting moment with location.
The sleep tracking amd Smart Alarm were wonderful for me. Using these features, I felt that now I am able manage my sleep better and wake up fresh every morning. Inspecting the trend of my sleeps, I know my body well and will try out a better relaxation method when preparing to sleep so that I could really rest my body with a longer Deep Sleep phase.
Vibration feature does really helps me a lot at pushing notification from phone to my smartband and also wake me up by vinrating on my wrist. When I kept my phone in my bag and go to the kitchen, I can know when there is an incoming call as the smartband will vibrate to notify me. Now I never miss out any call since using smartband!
With the aid of different smartband extension apps, you can remote your phone even better than other brands. Example, when activated the Media Player mode, a single tap after pressing the button of the smartband once, Music app will open and plays the songs! With Smart Camera Extension, taking a Groupfie will be so easy like never! Just press the smartband button and a single tap will trigger the shutter!
Cons
Overall, this smartband has some cons as below
1) Not as accurate as pro tracker like Jawbone Up or Fitbit or Garmin, but since it is activity. tracker and life recording device, I could say it worth the drawback. As even it was not a perfect steps counter, but it still did its job to show whether you are more active than yesterday!
2) Limited functionality, might just for now since no API was available at this moment, this smartband just works for different tasks without allowong you to customize own vibrationpatterns or LED indicating patterns. Without a display was the biggest drawback...But who cares? Even you are notified or able to see the content of message, you still need to take out your phone and reply, so it makes no difference unless you willing to buy the expensive Samsung Gear smartwatch or Apple Watch or others.
3) Remote media player by tapping on smartband was not flawless last time, but with new updated firmware, it works better with some practices. Practice makes perfect!
Extended functionality
The word "functionali-" was not end with "ties" is because by now, there is only an app called Smartband Notifier which is available at Google Play Store which works with Tasker to produce customized number of vibration with customized interval between vibration for different apps' notification. Without display or LED pattern, at least, you can determine which app is notifying you without a glance on your phone.
Suggestion
1) Time feature
Since smartband has three LEDs, I suggest developer to make a gesture like Miband to show the current time. Like example, 1 o'clock, LED A flash once and so on for 2 and 3 o'clock with flashing of LED B and C respectively. Add once more for a cycle like flashing LED A twice for 4 o'clock, understand? And for 10,11 and 12, set the LEDs to flash alternately with combination of two LEDs : 10 (x_x) , 11 (xx_) , 12(_xx). Dividing 60minutes into four quaters and light the LEDs with different patterns to tell the quater might be a simple solution for the minutes.
2) Enhance the media control by flashing the LEDs but not just remain light up to tell the users whether their taps on the smartband are registered or not. A beep sound also can be played on the phone to tells the users that their phone is responding with the taps. Also, adding volume control by movement of wrist as with the 3D accelerometer, the smartband can tells the phone that users is turning their wrist clockwise to increase the volume. This situation is just similar to the game which designed for Smarband (forgotten the name of it, is a bombing airplanes game).
This is my step-by-step reviews and I hope the developer will see these and modify the smartbamd firmware to fully extend its potential to be not just a simple band! Goodluck everyone!
Forgive my bad grammars but I am learning to be better =) Correct my grammars before sharing if you willing to do so =D
Goodjob bro.informing post.i'm waiting for new band
Thanks man, do share it so developers might give it a shot to enhance the band.
I wasn't in market for smartwatch, but Fit2 automatically came with a recent upgrade to Sammy Note 7 (both are sweet!). Is there any way to force the detailed watch face to stay? I know it could potentially be a battery hog, but I haven't found one yet where I like both the full screen and the scaled back screen. Thanks!

...Settings, Display, and ENABLE - Watch Always On...
I have that one set. There are just 2 screens. When I shake my arm, a detailed watch face pops up with steps, calories, heart rate, etc. Then after a few seconds it switches to a scaled back screen that just shows digital time. I want the detail screen to stay.
ok...this seems like you need a Watchface which just displays the DETAILS of the 24H Log. As you said the display will default back to the WatchFace you have selected. Since the 24H Log isnt a watchface, you need one which just specifically displays the DETAILS info.
I suggest you check out the Galaxy Store, and see if there is something which fits your needs. I have over 300 to select from....i noticed some targeted specifically for fitness group, and prefer to see all their vitals on the watchface. Good luck, sorry couldn't be any more useful.
Exactly, the "watch always on" settings usually display a lighter face.
Samples
Couple of pictures attached. This is an aftermarket downloaded watch face called "Color Circles" or something like that. "Full" is the version I'd really like to see all day, but "Scaled" is what shows after about 5-10 seconds of inactivity. I can only think of one workaround. Does anyone know of a similar aftermarket selection that has a detailed face for the scaled back mode, or does the firmware in the watch only have a minimal amount of fields for designers to pick? Maybe it's a global limitation.

This seems like a really basic requirement. Why doesn't the watch light up when you receive an e-mail etc? Might be wrong but I thought the BIp did.
I may be wrong but.
I think my watchdroid set up does that for me. I have it set (I forget the watchdroid setting) so that watchdroid actives when the watch does. So when I get a notification and I look at the watch, I see watchdroid formatted message and I am pretty sure the backlight is on (I say this with a tiny bit of hesitation since most of the time I get notifications I am outside or in a very bright office)
huge disappointment, Bip have it and Stratos 2 don´t. This is very very important function for notification...

Has someone updated ? impessions?
Yep, i have but not been in activities to proove improovements... ???
I have installed as well. No workouts yet. I have seen an extra menu item in run extra settings that is called virtual rabbit. I guess it is a ghost runner to keep you in pace. Interstellar watchface looks nice.
I can not understand what "real-time track in the real-time track page lock screen under outdoor sports" refers to.

I also noticed that and was wondering what the difference with pace alerts were. Both should notify you when you go outside a predefined pace, I guess.
Not done much since installing but the continuous heart rate appears to be more responsive when I move and thus my HR increases.
Previously I could go for a brisk walk and it wouldn't notice any change on the watch.
Fingers crossed its fixed.
On new watchface, there is a tiny heart on top. Does anybody get his/her heartrate shown on that watchface?
I do not think it shows heart rate. I have the eternal moment watchface which is showing HR data. Anyway I did not seem much changes, just the new watchface and the virtual rabbit. The update is mostly bug fixing which is a good thing. Still I am missing a cardio and yoga activity type.

I've just installed the update. Watchface looks nice.
But I don't know how to use Virtual rabbit and Real-time track.
Waiting for other's feedbacks.

Hi
I also saw a heart on top but there's no HR number. Is it simply a symbol?
To me prototype source will always be the best watch face but the new face is a nice addition.
Haven't noticed much new stuff, the UI seems more fluid but that just might be a placebo.
I hope the next update they make an effort to fix the pretty terrible step counting.
Tested it with a bit of cycling back from work. One thing I noticed is it no longer vibrates when auto-pause switches on and off.
As others said, HR seemed responsive and accurate (but that couldn't mean anything, since it was pretty much accurate when cycling previously as well). Will test it tomorrow morning with some trail running and, fingers crossed, I hope to see some good changes
Edit: Also, I noticed the bug with synchronizing rides to strava showing up as runs has been fixed.
Well, i don't know if it's a bug with the new firmware - but it does not sync the sleep datas anymore. I have the datas from last night on my phone but not synced with the Amazfi app....
I have also updated yesterday, continuous heartrate seems much more reliable now. Tested several times, finger on wrist and counting, real heartrate 58 watch stated 59, real 76 watch 76, 87/88 and so on, before update the watch sometimes measured a heartrate of 40 when it really was at 80 or 90 and it was always approx. 10-15 beats to low. Now it seems to be useable.
[email protected]: Sleep was tracked correctly last nigth but I had some cases (2 or 3 in half a year) when sleep was not recognized for no reason so it could be an issue not depending on this update. Sometimes sleep data were correct on watch but simply didn't show up in app, after several syncs sleep data suddenly appeared.
Edit: Steps are also more accurate now, watch starts counting now after 10 steps not 30 like before so short walks to the fridge are recognized now.

You now can see your location on the lock screen if you have chosen to follow an imported GPX track. Really cool now.
Tap to wake
Tap to wake .............still problem, not solved
You type twice and not working??

They should implement manual altitude settings should be a real plus

Seem still bad and not usable. Little test :
- Garmin F3 : 543 steps
- Stratos : 275 steps
so Stratos count almost half steps. I think it have still 1/3 real steps because Garmin count only after 10 steps.
So daily steps count with stratos still totally wrong
"Time to stand up, you've been sitting for a while" alerts seem broken now. Granted, they still only occurred while sitting, but I think I went to the fridge to get a beer 3-4 minutes ago, and now it says I've been sitting for a long time Maybe now it does not count small movements like short strolls, only longer ones.
