Difference between "global version" & "eu version" (LTE bands and unlock bootloader)
Hello,- does someone have correct informations about the differences of these 2 versions, especially for the LTE bands and for way to unlock the bootloader (for twrp and lineageos)) ?

LTE bands are same.
bootloader can be unlocked on both.

Thanks,
where did you find this information ?
So are there really 2 versions ? "eu" and "global" ?
If so, what is the difference between these 2 versions ?
Or are they just one version (and some shops named them different) ?

"... also there is no difference between Global and EU version of Pocophone F1..."
So that is completely answered

LG G5 F700 & h850 differences

Hi to all,I'd like to buy a mobile LG's G5 and I found it with code F700.But I also see that here at Greece it is selling code H850.So I'd like to ask if anyone knows about the differences between the 2 versions F700 and H850?What these code means?About the network or what?Just to mention that I've allready asked LG Official support at Greece and they don't know nothing to help about.
Is there any opinions?Thank You

Korean version (F700) vs. EU version (H850).
F700 can't unlock bootloader -> can't root.
H850 can root.
And the supported basebands are different between these 2 variants (you should google more).

If it's actually an F700 model number, the seller has no idea what he's talking about and/or lying to you. The only versions that have bootloader unlock are:
H850
H830
RS988
H840 SE
Out of the above models, only the h850, h830 and rs988 have root. Only the h830 and h850 have custom ROMs.
Hopefully this helps.
Hi and yes, your post is helping a lot.So I think the seller has no idea about LG5 and telling just what he think is good to sell.I am afraid I have to quit fron his store and find another one, more reliable.
Thanks for your post.

No problem. I don't want to see you buy something thinking you can root / use custom ROMs only later to find out you can't. A lot of sellers think that sim unlocked is same thing as bootloader unlocked because they have no clue, although some just simply lie to sell a phone they don't want too. Either way, best thing to do is research and ask questions first like you did. As far as the bands needed, I'd check Google to see what bands your carrier uses and then check to see if the h850 will work on those bands. Also, be careful when buying an h850 as it must be h850 EU market model (I don't believe they ever added support for carrier specific versions of the h850, bit not 100% sure).
@jeffsga88 H840 SE version has unlock bootloader, correct? Can I root it then if I buy it?

Yes, the 840 SE can be bootloader unlocked through lg although currently can not root or anything yet we there's still no TWRP currently. Once TWRP is built, root can easily be done. Also make sure it's 840 SE (non carrier version) as others with different 840 models weren't able to unlock and some were.
Volte on lg G5 f700
This question may be a bit off topic, but is there a way for me to enable volte on my phone?
I live in India but had a friend get me an lg G5 f700s from korea. I've checked in settings and couldn't find any options to enable volte.
Will it be possible if I switch roms? If so, where can I find a guide? I'm new to xda and don't know much about rooting/ switching rooms.
Thanks in advance! Also let me know if I've left out any details while writing this post.

You need to enable developer option on your device. From system go to "about phone". Click build number a few times (5 times I think). the developer option should appear in system option. (weird - you already pointed out the developer mode but it's not there). Try search through setting though.
But I never bought 1 from China, it might not what as I pointed out - because of different market? Idk.

well all ROMs are international with more languages, Honor doesn't have Chinese and Global ROM, they have specific ROMs for each market but they are pretty much equal and it is SIM unlocked, so they haven't lied really, of course you have to do bootloader unlock by yourself
as for bands, check phone compatibility with your network, you should really had check this before buying and not now

Hello everybody! I'm a new here, and I'm not expert. I also bought Honor 10 col-al10 Chinise Version. I know in settings i can choose English, but i don't like chineese apps. I would change complete ROM. I tryed use Firmware Finder but find only CN version.
Please help me.
You can remove/disable all chinese apps(just the yellow pages you cant).
So its not a big deal, its almoast the same, just 98% english and some chinese text in some things.

In theory you will have to flash european vendor. This will switch your firmware but... I can not promise if it will work. Or maybe to say it bettet it wont transform your device in a beautiful brick

Change region

How does one change region? It can only be found via searching in the MIUI search box but then it's locked to China.
The reason i want to change region is because of the low headphone volume that apparently can be fixed by changing region(s).
I also had that problem (with Mi6 and Band3) and AFAIK you cannot or need a rooted phone.. Look here: http://en.miui.com/thread-1469560-1-1.html
BUT: On my mi6 i set it to "OTHERS" because Austria was not available. When I logged into my Pad4 it set it to AUSTRIA (automatically) and when I looked at my Mi6 after it, it also changed to Austria (from OTHERS/OVERSEAS).. So maybe it can auto-change?

The link you're referring to is for Global roms only. I'm on the official CN-version.
On this ROM the region is locked to China and cannot be changed at all.
You cannot change it in global either.. Therefore you NEED the mod.
But you could be right, that the mod does not work on CN edition.

U mean the region code is locked? Even on global ROM?
There isn't Global Rom for Mi Pad 4/4+.
You may have "Fake Global".
On China & MiuiEu roms region can be changed by edting build.prop.

Question What are the different models of the OnePlus Nord N200 5G? (DE2117, DE2118, DE17AA)

I'm just collecting some info
What are all of the different models for the OnePlus Nord N200 5G?
The codename of the device is "dre".
DE2118 is the T-Mobile model when you buy through them (or Metro, I think).
I think DE2117 is the unlocked USA model? I'm not completely sure what the difference is between it and the DE2118.
DE17AA is apparently the global unlocked model.
Are there other models?
I also found DE18CB, which is apparently T-Mobile.
I'm confused if maybe this is actually an OS version number instead of a model number, but my phone clearly calls it a "Model" ID.
DE2117 is OEM unlocked USA. It's SIM unlocked / carrier unlocked and bootloader unlocked.
DE2118 is SIM locked / carrier locked to T-mobile or Metro-by-T-mobile. Some have reported that a DE2118 purchased from T-mobile or Metro also accepts Mint mobile (without needing to SIM unlock). It's possible they may also accept other MVNOs that use the T-Mobile network.
DE2118 is bootloader locked, "OEM unlocking" is off and greyed-out, not toggle-able. It becomes an option after the phone is SIM unlocked. Many have also been able to enable OEM unlocking with a bypass, using adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.qualcomm.qti.uim which a debloater script will also do for you. OnePlus might "fix" this loophole at some point. But if they do we can probably reverse it by downgrading.
I understand the DE2118 you get from either T-mobile or Metro loads the appropriate branded apps based on which SIM it first sees.
The different models are also listed in this guide Full convert Tmobile/MetroPCS to US OEM with Fastboot Enhance GUI Tool for dummies
dre is the general device codename, but you may also see dre9 (DE2117) or dre8t (DE2118).
Some may mistakenly refer to it as "holi" because that's seen in the bootloader menu, holi is just the codename for the Qualcomm SM4350 Snapdragon 480 platform. [1] [2]

I believe DE18CB is just from the build number. You have that actually in the Model field? Here's a picture of it in the build number, with in the Model field showing DE2118.
Lots of extremely helpful hints. I already knew most of them from reading today, but thanks!
That notes daboross/oneplus_dre8t_dre9_holi_notes link was perfect. That's what I was assembling for myself.

Ahha! Now that's new to me. I had seen it in fastboot and was wondering about it. Thanks!
Further reading seems to confirm my previous assumption that there are only three models, but sometimes people are refering to software versions in the model numbers, which might just be part of the file names for those releases/recoveries.
I've seen the "DE17AA" model also referred to as "DE2117AA". I don't know which is true or what the best nomenclature is, since I don't actually have one of these international unlocked models.
"DE17AA" I believe is just from software build numbers. And not a model number. DE17AA seems to be in the build numbers intended for the DE2117 model. Whereas DE18CB is in build numbers intended for the DE2118 model.
