Hello,
I'd like to discuss here about nougat builds.
I know that a lot of good Oreo and pie builds are getting out, but still I think nougat are smoother, games are playing faster, and MMS are just working!...
So the best I found is crDroid which have April security patch.
I've tried mokee, up to date, but really buggy and without much customisation...
The other ones are too old (2017)...
Which one do you use?
Any GoogleCam working in nougat?
Let's talk about it !...
Hey bro use viper N by devil7 almost all gcams work in nougat
Use ore it is good to use liquid remix by diferd
I'm using LiquidRemix by Difr and I must say there's not better ROM I think, so I highly recommend to use it
Hope you will like it
Cheers!

Okay, so more than half a year after the release of Nougat, we still do not have a stable 7.x ROM for the G2 available, yet Google has already released developer previews for 8.x.
So, what are the chances that we're going to see 8.x on the G2?
What? That is so wrong.
CrDroid.... My G2 was never so fast and used so less battery - and CrDroid (7.1.1) with Lambda Kernel is stable.
So I don't know what you're doing wrong, but this is not true.
Also running on nougat and have no troubles??? latest LineageOS veryy fast and stable and also battery time is very good.

Correct! LineageOS works great. Hope we will get O from Lineage Team
CrDroid with lambda works great, better than stock in every way. Especially since bigboy ported the stock lg camera. Android 0 is and will be buggy for a long time, its just the first dev preview build.
we have a lot of roms Nougat good and stable so i think will we have good Android O but we will take some times
AICP 12.1 (based on Android 7.1.1) with Lambda Kernel works perfect. Stable, fast and battery friendly.
aicp much cooler than crdroid with this rom i have no wish to buy a new phone after 3 years... it works better than most midrange 2017 phones unfortunately cameras got old..
+1 that, I have a Note 5 - and I miss the performance, battery life and hold-ability of my G2. Don't be fooled by new phones people, they're way less optimised with their dual-processor configurations (8-cores), and quite often the weaker cores are less powerful than this device.

Well, first off, we already have multiple Android 7.x ROMs that are stable, I don't know what you're talking about.
Will we see 8? That depends if someone is willing to make ROMs for this phone. And I'd say yes, we will have Android O, maybe not immediately but it will come.

The Lineage OS 14.1 thread is littered with bug reports...
So how can I get the best camera quality on non stock roms? is there any way to record 60fps?

lol this just so true... I don't really need to upgrade the phone with a bunch of Android N roms for LG G2 but the camera is quite sluggish already. Thats the only part that keeps reminding me its an old phone lol
CrDroid is okay if you like plain.
go to AICP and boom , you don't really need to use all the customization
I hope people will be developing roms for this unkillable phone.
Sorry for this little OT but it has some relation with the thread... At least with LineageOS the headphones volume its so much lower than with Stock (or stock optimized) roms, do you know if this is solved in any nougat rom ? Thanks in advice and sorry again for OT.
No LineageOS 15.x (Android 8.x) for G2 it seems:

YOU ARE WRONG!
LG G2 is getting Android O (8.0) (LineageOS 15) ... it is confirmed:

Hi all,
I'am quite happy with my Redmi Note 3 Pro SE (Kate).
And Miui is also quite good. Love the battery life.
However,
I run the Global Beta rom weekly, and the version is 7.6.8.
Dating back from June 2017. And it doesn't look like there will be an update any time soon.
So.... I'am looking for an other rom.
But what one to choose?
LineageOS 14.1?
Nitrogen OS?
ResurrectionRemix 5.8.x?
CarbonRom?
ViperOS?
Or... Wait and stay on Miui?
What is important to me.
Stable
Battery friendly
Good Bluetooth (have android wear watch (Huawei Watch) and bt headphones (MDR-1000X))
Good GPS (Sygic)
Good and stable Camera
Good Music
SD card (128GB Samsung Evo+) should work perfectly
4G (LTE) should work stable and fast
Voice recording (in-call)
And ofcourse calls should be good and stable
I don't do gaming, so no interests there.
Please,
Advice me in a Rom to take, and explain why that rom instead of an other rom.
Thanks in advance.
Use Nexus Experience ROM with Radon kernel with performance settings.
For better music use shox audio mod for our device.
For good camera use the HDR and 60fps canera which is recently ported.
Enjoy!
NX ROM with Radon kernel is great (still using Marshmallow though, because of no Xposed on Nougat).

@deepjyoti30 Which ported camera? Do you have a link?
This one

Uploaded today. Pretty awesome. Bdw i think xposed for night is out now.
I am currently running pixel expierence rom but I saw Lineage Os is official released . But I also heard about xiaomi.eu all sound pretty good. What's your favourite and can you write some things why you use this rom ?
I learned to love the app gestures with the one bar.
On my Nexus 6 custom roms I loved the long press for torch feature.
Although every customisation feature is welcome
Thx
sounds like the story of most of us here
I tried eu miui 10 pie, miui pro 9.1.24, and oxygen os port 9.04.......if they fixed 3.5 mm audio output and Fm radio in the oxygen os port it will be the best but so far miuipro is best for me overall!
try crDroid
Hmmm. Ive heard that the best one today is OOS ..oxygen os. Ive read most of the oos users claim that its a very smooth gaming rom.. and im planning to try that one of these days..
Btw.. i dont give much time on any roms aesthetically. As long as its smooth in gaming.. it definitely suits my taste..
Even though Pocophone F1 has official Android 10, its rather an old MIUI 11, which is slow and buggy compared to latest MIUI builds.
Looking at Poco X2/K30 videos on YouTube, the newer MIUI looks much smoother and optimized, when compared to F1, apps opened quicker even though processor of X2 is weaker (730g or 765g vs 845)
Given F1's age (and current situation due to pandemic that slow down businesses), it may be unlikely we get any updates from Xiaomi other than security patch. So it would be great to have the MIUI ports from X2/K30 into F1.
There are many AOSP/stock like ROMs out there which are excellent, but they don't provide certain useful features MIUI provide.
lmao, port rom will be more buggy.
Enjoy ur phone or buy google pixel
Why pixel? You could just use gsi roms and have a phone with headphone jack. But again the useful features of miui will be missing. Miui 12 will probably not come for f1
Why don't you just flash and Use MIUI based Roms like revolutionOS or Mi Room?

Mi room ROMs are out of date and are glitch as is revolution ROMs.......
This is actually a great idea cause Poco's miui is the most unstable one right now
Even the android Q custom roms are buggy
Q is horribly buggy... my experience with POCO MIUI Q is bad SOTs, Poco Launcher lag, Heating up!
Looks like every corporate is the same
The official Miui 11 for pocophone F1 is bad indeed. Anything after 10.3.8.0 has been buggy and unusable for daily use, and get poor battery life.
It look like Xiaomi didn't release any miui beta roms for poco f1. Other phones of 2018 using sd845 (such as mi9) got 20.x.x beta ROMs which seem to include upcoming features from miui 12.
This most likely means we don't get any feature updates, only security patch. However, poco x2 from this year will get miui 12 so it would be great idea to get port from it.

Have you tried crDroid Q? I switched to crDroid (6.4) about a month ago and so far its been very solid and bug-free barring one random reboot. I haven't tried any other Q ROM.

It still has bluetooth problems in PC fan or rgb controlling apps and many more
And the /system is read only
And these are on every custom rom and android Q
I guess it's google's fault
If they aren't gonna fix this it means that Pie is the most stable and full android out there
I'm a total noob at porting, once tried porting Mi8's rom to Poco F1. Sound wasn't working and I gave up. And Mi8 is the closest thing to F1 honestly. Try the ported Q Roms in Telegram, way better than stock miui in Poco. I'll try investigating about porting X2 to F1 though, if anyone wants to help, I'm welcome. I still don't understand vendor/firmware and stuff like that.
Hallo hallo everyone
I'm new to this device's forum since I got the device used to MP3 purposes, this DAC is insanely good with my Sennheiser Momentum headphones so I'm looking for the best stable ROM and most recent ROM possible for audio and media quality and stability cause I don't make calls (only use Wifi and sometimes camera).
Thanks
AS
PS: Used to have a lot of free time years ago to make stuff and test it but right now I really can't sorry
I would say US998 Oreo would be easiest and simplest. You could go custom, of course, especially since you're not doing any calls.
What's wrong with whatever current ROM you have? What are you looking to "improve"?
I would go with latest stock oreo

Yeah. Stock Pie isn't as stable as Oreo.
Pie seems feels a work in progress that LG abandoned during final stages of testing

I'm speaking from my experience with 930ds
But from what I've read this is true for all V30 variants
I also tested several custom ROMS like Havoc, Potatoes, PE, LOS, dotOS ..... But each time I come back to the Stock version (PIE). Why is it not possible to have the Audio drivers (Quad DAC) fully supported as well as a good camera / videos on these ROMS?

Because the most of the LG apps/features require LG framework to work which AOSP doesn't have.
