I am using a Stratos during the week and I love it, but thinking of getting an amazfit bip for the weekends. Does the amazfit app/android phones allow pairing of multiple watches at the same time? Any caveats?
I'm sure this answer is out there but my google Fu is not strong and haven't been able to find the right answer with my search terms.
Cheers,
OD
Does anyone have more than one amazfit watched synced to their android phone?
Cheers,
OD
I don't think it's possible in Amazfit app, although it allows you to pair with another watch maybe it will replace the exiting one, but I have never tried doing this.
But MiFit seems to allow multiple devices as long as they are not the same type, for example, one MiBand and one Bip or Pace.
Thanks for that. I don't see an option in the amazfit to add another watch. Also, when I try to pair the Stratos to mi fit it just takes me into the amazfit app.
I uninstalled the amazfit app to test but when I tried to pair the Stratos in mi fit it prompted me to install amazfit app...
Does the Bip have this same requirement? Perhaps the amazfit app can sync with the Stratos and mi fit can sync with the Bip?
Cheers,
OD
When I open Amazfit app and go to Profile I can see "Pair new watch" there, and it tries to read another QR code.
Yes, MiFit requires Amazfit app to pair with Pace/Stratos, and it's a complicated issue... I was able to use my Pace with both apps fro Play Store (i.e. not CN version) using the same account in both (I used Google account, but FB should work too), but a lot of people have problems doing it. The only thing I did previously was testing a CN version of Amazfit and paired with Pace using my Mi account, and I never unpaired the watch but used adb to display the QR code on watch whenever it was needed.
Sure, you can use each app with a device, but they won't sync the data, so what's the point?

I successfully linked an Amazfit Bip and a Mi Band 4 to Mi Fit on the same phone. I had a second Mi Fit installed in Xiaomi's Second Space on my Pocophone and another Mi Fit installed on the primary section of the phone. Each Mi Fit is paired with just one device so there is no conflict.
Totally off topic but the title reminded me of a certain internet video... ?
Have an amazfit GTR and a Mi band 4, want to swatch and combine data for both, but no luck sofar. I can add both to the amazfit app, but have to switch between them which resets the step counter for the day... strangely enough once you click the step counter, it does show a combined value
Any solutions for this ?
Hello, All!
After upgrading my Pace to WOS2 beta, I have done lots of tests about syncing data and I think I have figured out how it works mostly, and probably the cause of common sync data errors, specially if another firmware was flashed. Please let me expose some facts, and fell free to ask any questions so this guide can be improved.
To make things shorter: CN = Chinese / EN = English or International.
- The QR code shown in the watch is always the same is a myth. It seems that it always identify the same watch, probably based on the Bluetooth MAC address of the device, but every time it is shown the chances are it will be different. It's a token actually: it allows the device identification in a unique way, without disclosing the real information(the MAC address). You can actually save one image and it will always refer to your watch, so for safety precaution, if you want to save the QR code, keep it safe.
- The QR code generated when the device is unpaired or factory reset actually shows if the device is a Chinese or International model, and Amazfit app in English (current versions, at least) won't pair if the watch is a CN model. I don't remember having this issue with CN Amazfit, but I am not sure.
- By the other hand, the QR code generated with the app on watch called BLE Connect is a "generic" one, so it can always be used to pair the watch.
- Now the fun begins... You can only bind a watch to one Amazfit app account, each account in the app has an unique ID. So if you ever paired your watch with a Mi account using a CN Amazfit app, all the data sent to the cloud will be bound to your Mi account. This means that if you pair the watch using another account without first unpairing it with the previous one, all the new data will be sent to the cloud using the old account as an identifier, because the watch is actually still bound to the old account. So if you delete the app and install again, sign in using the new account, the new data will be gone. You must be careful when changing accounts.
- To bind the watch to another account, you must unpair it with the old account using Amazfit app. You don't need to factory reset the watch, but it will be easier to show the QR code to pair with the new account, of course. You can put the watch in airplane mode, unpair in Amazfit app and the watch won't be erased. But then you need to manually show the QR code on watch to pair again (see tips below).
- Once the activity data is saved to the cloud, it is bound to the account that the watch was also bound to at that moment forever, using a token that identifies the account bound to the watch, and not necessarily the current account used in Amazfit app. So you cannot simply pair the device in Amazfit app hoping that the data on watch will go to the new account, it won't happen. It may show in the new app, but it's bound to the old account, so if you re-install the app using the same account the new data won't show up as explained previously.
- Now this explains why some people can sync data with MiFit while other can't: the watch must be bound/paired to the same account used in MiFit. The sync with MiFit isn't done via Amazfit app, but via the cloud, so MiFit will only show the data if the watch is bound to the same account in Amazfit app.
- It seems that this is the case for Strava too, and this explains why some people can use CN Amazfit app and still have the activities sent to Strava. But the data will be bound to the account used in the EN app, so if you re-install Amazfit the data is gone too. Data is sent to Strava even when phone is in Airplane mode and data is uploaded using the watch. AmazMod seems to work with Mi accounts to enable Strava sync too. Keep in mind that if there is any problems syncing with Huami servers or your account when you send data to the cloud, it won't be sent to Strava later, you have to upload the activity manually, either exporting on watch as GPX or using my AmazeBackup tool to extract data from watch.
- This also explains the fact that if you re-install the app using the same account that is bound to the watch, it will already show the watch connected (if you didn't erase the watch, of course), or simply ask to pair the Bluetooth again if it was erased, because the account still have the watch bound to it.
- When you pair a watch that isn't bind to any account, Amazfit app will ask if you want to restore the data from the cloud to the watch.
- If you unpair the watch while it is connected to Amazfit app, it will be erased (factory reset). Also if you do a factory reset in watch settings while connected to the app, it will be unpaired.
- You can pair two devices of the same type with Amazfit (at least using version 2.4.0 or newer), but in MiFit you cannot pair different types, for example one MiBand and one Pace (you can add other devices tho).
- You can only pair the watch with one Amazfit app.
- Tips for trying to fix Strava sync: logout from your account on Amazfit (I recommend using the latest Play/AppStore version for enabling Strava sync), go to Strava website -> Settings -> My Apps and revoke Amazfit access, then login back to Amazfit app, the watch should be paired automatically meaning it's bound to this account, then go to your profile and add your Strava account again. Only new activities saved after doing this will be sent to Strava, old ones have to be exported manually (see tips below about using your computer to get the data into GPX or TCX).
So to be safe, it's very important to pair the watch and use the same account always in Amazfit app, this way the data will be always in sync and safe in both watch and app. If you ever decide to use another account, unpair the watch first using the Amazfit app or Factory reset on watch while still connected to the phone.
UPDATE: CN Amazfit 2.4.0 now supports all logins if the language isn't Chinese, so it should be much easier and painless to go from one firmware to another as you can login to both apps using Amazfit US, Google or Facebook.
OK, now the cool part, the tips.
1. You can show the QR code on the watch if you enable the hidden apps listing, and to do this push an empty (0 bytes) file named "launcher_config.ini" to the /sdcard (it is the same place where the folder WatchFace is). This can be done using any way you use to transfer files to the watch, for instance using adb:
Code:
adb push launcher_config.ini /sdcard/
2. There is also a command that opens it directly, but requites a watch with root enabled:
Code:
adb shell am start -n com.huami.watch.ble/com.huami.watch.qrcode.QrActivity
3. You can backup the sport activities directly using adb too (this won't affect the data shown in Amazfit app in any way).
For Pace/WOS1:
Code:
adb backup -f sport_data.ab -noapk com.huami.watch.sport
For Stratos/WOS2:
Code:
adb backup -f sport_data.ab -noapk com.huami.watch.newsport
To restore the data (it will erase any new data added since the backup):
Code:
adb restore sport_data.ab
Check other XDA threads about exporting the data to TCX directly from the watch, it's a good way to have a backup of the data and export it to any other service besides Strava. This is a link to my AmazeBackup tool, with support for both Pace and Stratos, all versions of firmware, that exports data to TCX and GPX:

Hello. If you use Mi account, then you must download the CN version (current stable version is 2.4.0 as of now) of the app, it will allow you to login using your current account. Then pair with Stratos, go to MiFit and add watch too. All set. But you won't have Strava sync. For this, you can try using AmazMod, a modded CN version of Amazfit Watch app.

Use the Amazfit app and Mifit app from Google play store. Login with the same account in both apps and then you will find the Strava sync in Amazfit app settings/add account.

Hi ! even with this tutoriel i can't sync my activitys on strava account (but i have no problem to upload/backup all my activitys on my MI account). here what i try, please tell me where i'm wrong.
watch : amazfit PACE CN , WOS 2.6.0.12.
1 - Unpair my watch from amazfit 2.4.0 DEV
2- delet amazfit app and clean all data on my phone related to amazfit
3- install AmazMod 3.0
4- Log on my MI account (chinese Mi account, same account i always use on my previous amazfit app)
5- connect the watch (QR code) and restore data
6- install STRAVA android app and log on
7- on Amazmod, account> strava : i log on strava
Problem : nothing sync and it's always written last udate with the date/hour i install amazmod. Even when i click on sync button, in written "syncing" but nothink sync and it back to the same date/hour i install amazmod.
edit : i got around 40 activitys recoded with GPS (only trail run and cycling)
edit 2 : in my strava account >> app , amazfit watch appeared as "authorized"
@urikane: AmazMod 3.0 is pretty old, why are you using it? Anyway, the recent versions of Amazfit app from PlayStore allow login using Mi account, so you can retrieve your old data and still get Strava sync. The problem is that old activity, sent to Huami servers already (the same ones you retrieve when logging in back to your account) won't be sent to Strava, only new data recorded after enabling Strava sync will. The old data must be uploaded manually using a browser on your computer, my backup tool may help, it exports the sports activity as TCX, or open each one on watch and export as GPX.

thx you so much : with the Amazfit app from playstore it's working.
i try your backup tool too, it's working only with the activity i did with WOS 2, but the old activity .tcx with WOS 1 are "empty" (probably because old activity WOS 1 doen't backup completly on the watch).
Anyway, thank you for your help
Hi,
I tried everything to sync my Stratos 2 international with Mi Fit (in order to sync with Google Fit) : many different versions of Amazfit Watch app (CN / En) or AmazMod v4.1.6 / login in both apps with Mi Account or Google Account / unlock bootloader + installing STRATOSfied v2.0.22.0 / read hundreds of posts in xdadevelopers ... I never managed to get Mi Fit synchronized with the watch ! When I pair the watch with Mi Fit, it launches Amazfit and get stuck there. Accounts ID are the same within Amazfit Watch and Mi Fit, I don't know what to try else. If someone has a clue, it would be more than welcome !
watch : amazfit Stratos 2 intl version (but shown as A1609 in the watch since Stratosfied is installed) . Currently : Amazfit Watch app v2.50.1 from Google Play Store + Mi Fit v3.4.1 from PS (after many different tries)

Make sure your watch is bound to your Mi account. How dow you know this?
1. Uninstall Amazfit app without unpairing or logging out, then install it again and login. If the watch is bound to your account you won't need to pair again, it will be paired automatically.
2. Go to your mi.com profile page and make sure Amazfit and MiFit are connected to your account:

No, it syncs everything. You may need to wait for a while or force-sync a few times so all data will be updated.

* Removed accounts within mi.com profiles / Remove account within Google Fit
* Unpaired the Stratos, paired the Stratos again then reload using Xiaomi account (I lost all my settings/additional installed apps in the watch in this step ! )
...still the same...
When I click in Mi Ft main screen on "Not paired device / Click to pair device" (sorry for the translation from the french screen I get/ Chinese translated sentence should be something like this in English..) the Amazfit Watch app appears and I still get stuck there ... And still no sync with Google Fit. I have not tried any sport workload with the watch, I really want it to sync basic 'steps counting' with Google Fit first !

You can't, the only way it to log out and login again. No data will be lost and you don't need to unpair watch, it will be paired automatically when you login again.
You must use Amazfit for notifications and other stuff, but you can upload sports data directly from watch using WiFi. If you add the watch to MiFit as well, the data will be synced there too (using the cloud), for this to work you must use the same account to login to both apps, obviously. MiFit if only needed if you want to sync data with GoogleFit on Android or AppleHealth on iOS, or perhaps its social features.
Oh I see. Thanks! But if I log out of amazfit, I won't be able to login since I don't know what I used as login ID. I'm worried all data will be lost if I don't know what account I'm using.

What do you mean? Simply login to an official version from PlayStore/AppStore when the phone language isn't se to Chinese and you should be able to activate Strava sync. Login with the same account where you store your data, no need to unpair/pair again watch, simply uninstall the current app (if you are using the CN version, for instance), install new one, login and you should see your watch automatically, then go to your profile, add accounts and activate Strava sync. Once activated it will work as long as you use the same account with Amazfit app and don't unpair watch.
I have mifit and amazfit apps. In mifit I have a lot of data from miband 2.
after adding stratos mifit is still using same database so its fine but in amazfit app I can only see data from the first day of using stratos (no history).
It seems now I have to sync independent Mifit app and Amazfit app. How to solve it?

Here, when it works, it syncs everything. You may want to unpair the watch and do not restore old data to it, or if it doesn't work, unpair, logout from both accounts and start over. PS: unpairing deletes all data on watch.
I have Stratos, and Mi Band 1S, and my Activities from Amazfit app are synced properly to Mi Fit through cloud(same login in both apps). My problem is that even if i see Activities from Amazfit app in Mi Fit, they are not synced to Google Fit(steps, and sleep from Mi Band are synced properly). How to sync Activities to Google Fit?

Hi guys, i have problem with syncing my activities from amazfit watches app to strava. In amazft watches app a i have added my strava account, so i could sync them. Syncing ends well, but no activity appears on strava(activities are with gps coordinates, such as cycling and running). Can you hepl me solve this problem? Thanks
Amazfit Watch app version 2.5.0.1
Strava version 52.0.0
Watches ROM version 2.0.24.0
Logout from Amazfit app, go to Strava website, Settings -> My Apps, revoke access to Amazfit. Then login back to Amazfit, your watch should be paired automatically, then add your Strava account again. If it doesn't work, then you may need to do this again but unpair the watch first (it will erase all data on watch) and answer NO when it asks if you want to restore old data to watch. Note that only new activities will be sent to Strava, old ones only manually.

If you have revoked Amazfit access to Strava as explained and then activated it again, probably it's a problem with Huami servers and it should be fixed in one day or two (sync is done via the cloud, not the phone as most people think). Be aware that old activities, saved before you activated sync, won't be sent to Strava, you must do it manually by exporting them as GPX on watch, copying them to computer and finally importing to Strava website.
How to send send data in GPX format from watch to phone? And where to find it on the phone?
