Can't manipulate /system and encrypted - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys. I got my phone Redmi 6, i unlocked bootloader and i flashed TWRP.
I'm having Magisk 17.2 on my stock ROM. I wanted to uninstall some bloatware but i realised i can't do anything with /system at all.
I tried several root browsers and ES File Explorer. Every of them ends with errors like "Couldn't remove folder/Read-only filesystem" or "Error". I'm sure im rooted and i even tried remounting.
I can't even add folder. (I'm sorry if it's something really stupid)
Also, my problem number 2. Everytime i boot into my TWRP, it has it's default settings and screen won't even turn on(I have to click power button twice) then screen asks for decrypting /data. I tried
all guides, i formated Data, i tried my lockscreen passwords. Nothing worked for me yet.
Thanks.

[Q] While using fix permissions, everything gone

This is the most weird problem I've ever met.
ROM: CM7 N2 (.35 kernel new baseband)
CWM:5.0.2.0
At first, because I encountered Market FC problem, and as everyone suggested in the thread that I should fix permissions via rom manager/CWM recovery.
Thus I chose that option in recovery. After that, I reboot, but it hang at the logo. I then boot again and found that ALL MY SETTINGS BECAME DEFAULT, they all GONE(both user apps and system settings).
But all the Link2sd apps still there, and some of them can be executed. It's very strange, because if ext partition mounted well, then the settings should be there too......So I tried to enter /data via Rootexplorer , but it showed that nothing inside.(due to the fix permission IMO)
And I'm unable to use rom manager to upgrade my cwm, because the SU didnt let me do that. I've adjusted the settings, but SU app keep denied rom manager's request(IMO another issue caused by fix permission).
What should I do now? The latest backup is 1 week ago, and I've made some important changes within this week.(unable to re-do them again after restore, some REAL LIFE things)
Really need help right now
EDIT: SMSs and call logs are all gone, although I have a gmail backup, but still lost 20+ messages ....

[Q] Phone hangs at lockscreen, screen turns white and phone reboots

EDIT: Never mind, I will just reflash through ODIN.
Hello. Looked for an answer everywhere, but nothing helpful comes up in the search results (both Google and XDA).
My problem is this: when the phone boots up, it hangs at the lockscreen, the screen turns completely white a minute later, and then shows the lockscreen again as if it did a warm reboot. The process then repeats. I can connect through ADB, and it appears that the shell is working correctly.
The problem first appeared when I experimented with NTFS mounter apps on Play Store. After one of the reboots, the phone suddenly informed my in a popup ("toast") window that /mnt/sdcard/external_sd was missing. I connected through ADB and checked - the whole /mnt directory was missing. I re-created it and made a folder called sdcard inside, then rebooted. Android populated /mnt with its own folders, eg. asec, obb and so on, but the problem was still present - the phone is still the way it was.
It appears that while GUI hangs, the ADB access is still working correctly. Recovery is working correctly and detects both internal and external SD.
Can anybody help me please? I don't know what to do, I never had this problem before.
My PDA is XWLPY, model is GT-I9100.
If you are rooted try reflash if not I would try download and reflash stock ROM with ODIN?

I will do that tomorrow. I'll try downgrading to XWLPI to get rid of the brickbug as well. Does anybody know if that could be unsafe?

[Q] Swapping internal with microsd bricked the phone

Hello,
So recently I got lack of internal memory(it is only 512MB though) and I tried to swap internal memory with microSD(marked as sdcard2). However, Im noob in this and after changing the lines I understood, that I changed sdcard with sdcard2(swapped sdcard and sdcard2), however, my android system seems to be not working now. I can boot and access settings, but thats all. No menu, no apps, no anything. Empty screen, only settings accessible. I cannot access any files or anything...
What I tried:
- Connecting phone to PC as I have Android Commander program which can browse system files from pc, unfortunately, failed to connect.
- Factory reset. Didnt help.
- Recovery mode - tried all options that are available, didnt work.
The phone is Prestigio Multiphone PAP4300 DUO. If there is any solution to that problem, please help. When I boot to the phone, I unlock it and I get many messages saying com.android.phone, system and such things stopped working. When pressing HOME button, it goes to home, but its empty(empty screen) and tells Launcher stopped working too. All I can do is access the settings. Cant call anyone though.
Please, give me a solution or tell me what to say to warranty service when I will bring the phone to them. Can they recognize that its rooted/that the vold.fstab file is modified?
Specs:
pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=4249&c=prestigio_multiphone_pap4300_duo
theunlockr.com/2013/07/29/prestigio-multiphone-pap4300-duo-specs/
That looks to be white, but mine is black.
I rooted it only. Havent done any changes to the phone until yesterday - swap the memories.
Thanks in advice,
Patrick

Hard way to learn the lesson that it's a bad idea to make changes to the system without having a custom recovery and a nandroid backup, hmm? Depending on how comfortable you are with using adb commands and if your tablet has r/w access, you could mount the system, pull the vold.fstab, undo the changes, push back, and set permissions. Can be a hassle though. Did you make a backup of the original file? But probably better served either reloading the stock OS with SP Flash Tools or see if there is a custom recovery / rom to flash for your device.

Hello, thanks for the help. I brought the phone to warranty service, they fixed it after first day.

Problem with phone storage access after recovery reinstall

My phone is a (cheap) Wiko Ozzy. I know it's not the greatest machine ever but it does the job for my mobile needs (being able to quick search the internet everywhere and communications), it was only 80€ new and it comes with no bloatware but google's. Also to root it a simple framaroot run does the job.
I have the phone customized alot, many xposed tweaks, automate, nova laucher, gravity box. The rom is the stock 4.2.2
One day I was messing up with android tweaker 2 and changed the dalvik heap size. When I reboot it the did not boot... It had that vibration key feedback problem. lol....
I went into recovery mode and made a backup... Yes, I did not had one and made it after the boot problem.
For my luck Wiko has a website with the roms they put on phones for download. With a simple program you can reinstall the rom very easily. I did it and my phone booted. I then tried to restore the backup I had previously done and for my surprise it boot with all my customizations but root access and busybox that I had to reinstall.
So what is the problem you ask?
Well I lost access to the phone storage and now It says Im out of space when I try to install apps
I used to have SDcard, Internal Storage and Phone Storage.
And I used to have the option to default install on sdcard and phone storage. The phone storage option disappeared but on the bottom of the page there is a mount option for it that just wont work.
I also tried to access it on windows and even after formatting the phone storage drive (windows was prompting for it and since the phone worked all fine without access to it I did it) the problem persisted...
Can you help me please?
I wanted to make the apps install on phone storage without having to make a real factory reset so I dont end without all my tweaks...
No one have any ideas?
I dont know what more can I add...
The phone is working fine... the only thing missing is one of the three partitions I had before the reinstall...
The weirdest to me is that in the storage settings I have the option to mount the "Phone Storage" but it fails.
I click it and the bars for type of files appears and disappears a few seconds later with the notification: you can safely remove phone storage....
Now I cant even install Adobe Air to try .swf viewer because it says it is out of space... It's like it ignores the sdcard default install option (the only one I have now and that is selected).

Recovering data from a phone stuck in recovery mode

So about 4 days ago my S3, on which i installed 4.4.4 kitkat last summer, started rebooting, then the home app crashes a couple of times, i see a lot of crash popups which are either for the home app or androind system, then it reboots again, and usually after some reboots it works normally until i go into an app, then if i press the home button the home app would crash again and it would beigin rebooting(though once every app was crashing left and right). Yesterday however it didn't even make it to the home app part, it was stuck in the screen with the CM logo loading(bootloop?).
My question is if it's possible to fix it while also recovering all the data such as photos, music and app data. I have Clockworkmod recovery 6.0.4.6. So far i've tried pulling everything from adb, which either didn't work or worked but pulled folders and files i don't really need(tried pulling /storage/, all i got was an almost empty sdcard1 folder). I also tried this method [i can't post the link, google How to Recover data Using ADB recovery on Android techglen] but when i get to this line
mkdir emmc
my console gives me
~ # mkdir emmc
mkdir: can't create directory 'emmc': File exists
Try flashing twrp and mounting the data partition from twrp.
Yes, thanks, that worked and i was able to get most of the data i wanted, though not all, and did a factory reset. I also did a backup on an USB but when i tried to recover the data from there the progress bar was stuck at 0%.
My phone managed to boot normally, started downloading apps and then i got the android system crash again, along with the home app(trebutchet). So far it hasn't restarted by itself. I can still go to the app store and launch some of the apps from there. I managed to get 3 of the android system crash logs on pastebin: (again i can't post links) pastebin dot com /axBsYXfV, /6e3AiEyB /nwHxym9Y; should i make a new thread about this altogether?
Edit:Another crash log from when i tried to enter Apps from settings: tRbUX5h1
So crashes happen with stock and custom ROMs?
