Install Beta manually - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

Hi, i want to install beta pie in my mate 10 pro, i can't sign up for beta, spain didn't get and won't get any beta program bcs the phone hadn't release in spain.
I tried to look for a way to install it, but no success, FF beta has 2 files instead for 3, so i can't use hwota.
Please, don't even try to say funkyhuawei, i've installed rom in every brand, i can upgrade to last oreo update with hwota with no trouble, so i just don't see the point in pay for something i already paid, hope you understand.
If anyone is willing to help me i'd so grateful for that.
Sorry for bad english, regards.

Vodafone Smart First 7 VDF-200 Factory image - Recovery

Hi all,
I've been lurking around for some years but never registered and participated to the forum, hopefully this will get me motivated to give a good hand to the community in terms of development
Having said that, I've inadvertently (soft) bricked my Vodafone Smart First 7, but could not find any thread on this relatively new phone in this forum. Is there any chance some of you knows how to get a factory image/recovery for this handset?
Bought it off Amazon and I'm still on time to return it, but wanted to do what is possible before going the hard way
Best Regards to all and thanks for accepting me in this forum
- ketamik
Guys please anyone with a Vodafone Smart First 7 could do a backup of the factory image? Much appreciated.

Thanks for you response. I've got a second one, but I'm still trying to get the previous one back to life. I'm not sure, because I could not yet find a proper guide on how to install a custom recovery.
My understanding is, if you manage to install a custom recovery on it, you could do a nandroid backup that could be later used for other phones.
I had soft bricked my other sf7 but even when you get into stock recovery its in a diffrent language and i dont think anyone will bother creating or porting a recovery for this as its only a £15 phone from vodafone its a very good phone for the price but not mant people will have it for development use hence no custom recovery if you find one let me know

oryginal rom with english german french ukrainian magyar and romanian languages - you'll get simlock after flashing but you can buy unlock code on ebay for under 1 GBP
Anyone interested in little digging in this recovery rom ? Like adding languages and debloating ?

I'd be interested in doing something...
I downloaded this but it seems it's all in Romanian...
I extracted a few of the apk files from the zip archive... But on my phone which is set to English they all came up in Romanian...
I have a Vodafone smart first 7, and wondered whether this might be a good way to create an update package that allowed super user/root permissions or for removing unwanted system apps.

I'm waiting for this tutorial too! Hope there's something to do! :/
You aren't likely to find your answer on XDA. There is no free method for unlocking the bootloader on Huawei phones (which might not be an issue on the Chinese version). There also is no simple way to manually flash firmware on Huawei phones because they don't want owners (or unscrupulous Chinese merchants) to modify the software.
You would probably need to rebrand your phone to run the international ROM on it and I don't know if rebranding is even possible on this phone--it wasn't on the P20 Pro.
You might want to contact Funky Huawei. It's not a free service but they might at least be able to tell you if running the global ROM on the Chinese hardware phone is possible.
If that isn't an option somebody said there was an unnoficial build of LOS for the M20P. You might be able to flash that which wouldn't be an ideal solution but it would give you access to most Google apps.
Only issue so far is WiFi calling missing on my Chinese version, Google map timeline can't working properly.
I can use okay Google, Google feeds etc...after deleted some related Chinese softwares.

Gome U9 International Firmware

Hello everyone,
Would anyone know if it is possible to download the overseas/international version rom/firmware for the Gome U9?
I recently purchased the phone with the international version and thought I might be able to root it and remove the default Google apps, but instead I`ve managed to install the original rom (chinese/english), which contains the Gome app store. I suppose I should have checked first what I was installing. Oh, well, no big deal.
Installing a custom recovery is proving a little difficult and I`m struggling to get the Google play store back in. It may not even be possible with this build, so if I could somehow restore it to the international version that will do for now. I`ve found the international version for the U7, but not for the U9. Shame LineageOS isn`t compatible or something else.
If there isn`t a solution, I guess I`ll just have to wait.
Thanks for any help you might be able to give me.
As a follow up I have used adb to install a few apps and that works fine. But when I install Google Play and Google Play Services, it just crashes on launch. So, something is causing GP to keep crashing. Once I figure that out I think I`ll be good to go.

Advice needed - UK Mate 20 Pro flash to non-Vodafone version of Android

Hi everyone,
I've been looking around Google for some way to change the Android version on my Mate 20 Pro from the Vodafone (UK) version that it originally shipped with, to a completely stock Huawei UK version. Mainly to stop the constant want of bloatware app updates that Vodafon want to push to me despite the phone being unlocked and not on Voadfone anymore.
I've followed some directions huaweiadvices(dot)com, and I belive I got the correct firmware download from FirmwareFinder (I can't post links, but will PM them to anyone who can help). None of the methods shown in the above article worked for me, in anyway. I'm either getting a "file not found message" or it just not doing anything at all.
The version I'm on is EMUI 10.0.0.196(C432E7R1P5). I've got a Drive link that I will share that's got screengrabs from the phone with details.
This is the first time I've tried to flash a phone, I'm completely lost and need some help; so if this is on the completly wrong board or has been asked before, I apologise. If anyone can point me in the direction I need to go, or let me know if its even possible, I'd be very grateful.
Thanks

Question I need the Prog Emmc Firehose.mbn File for the Mi 11 Lite 5G

I recently bricked my phone trying to flash global firmware, and I know those Authorized Mi accounts, but I don't wan't to spend 35$ for it. So basically I am looking for the Prog Emmc Firehose.mbn file for Mi 11 lite 5G
Same boat here - found several ones but not sure which one to use (if any!)
Hi, did you find the file. I'm basically in the same position
Hello, I also need that emmc for my 11 lite 5g. Did you solve it somehow and how?

Is it a file that contains the phone's bootloader? If yes, maybe you can extract it from the same or greater MIUI version inside the fastboot update package...
Same here. Need firehose file
Hey guys, serval months later I found something, not the file but a program called XPT (xiaomi pro tool). It worked but I paid 10$ (with tax). It is kind of a risk to flash dead phones, but I charged it before. It worked like a charm, flashed like in 8 minutes. You can find resalers on their telegram. Make sure that you find the cheapest seller that doesn't ask for USDT and can accept multiple payment methods. Those that only accept USDT don't speak much english so I wouldn't purchase from them. Cheers!

To be honest I don't remember/have them anymore
In the end I had to pay some people on Telegram to fix it
hello guys, well, I had my mi 11 in bootloop and bootloader locked. i contacted @Agent_Ziro on telegram. he did the unlocking process via EDL with authorization remotely. for me it worked perfectly. can try. say that @BRMNTz recommended it!
It cost $18.
