Hello All,
Please I want to know the consequences of flashing the rom of another region on your Samsung device. Let me explain why I ask this
So recently I upgraded my Samsung j7 Pro (J730GM) to Android 8.1 Oreo and that update changed the binary version of my device to 5 (i.e. J730GMDXU5) so I tried downgrading the phone back to 7.0 but that did not work because Samsung has not released an Android 7.0 Nougat firmware with binary version 5 so downgrading the normal way was quite impossible.
Now I recently found out that Samsung has released an Android 7.0 Nougat firmware with binary version 5 but the region/country it was released for is Mexico while my phone's region is Thailand.
Now my question is, is it possible to downgrade my J7 Pro with the Mexico firmware although my device's region is Thailand because they are both binary version 5? If yes, what are the possible consequences?

Hi ☺
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (N910c). I want to install android 6.0.1 on my device which is not available in my country.
Can I install another country's official firmware to my netwrok lock phone?
Thanks
P.S.: The reason why I want to install android 6.0.1 firmware on my device is to be able to flash an android 6.0.1 rom on my device.

Hello there's a new thread on updating the device Nougat 7.0, as for Oreo 8.0 I am working on it.
I don't know if this is related, off-topic or not. But my brother had this problem after he updated to 9.0 pie update on a samsung j8 phone.
Here is my build number and baseband.
Baseband: J810YDXU2BSD2. Build Number: J810YDXU2BSD3
Country: Philippines, XTC.
I would like to know what firmware should I download to downgrade using flash odin.
:crying:
Hi , I think it will not be easy to downgrade from Android 9 to 8 but you can try with this one :

I want to know if I can flash a firmware on my phone using a firmware from a different region with a different Android version.
I want to upgrade the Android version of my phone from Android 7.0 Nougat to Android 8.1.0 Oreo or possibly Android 9 Pie, but the available firmware with the same PDA as my phone is only Android 7.0 Nougat.
My phone's PDA is J701FXXU4ARB3.
Hello!
(I'm bit of a noob so I apologize for that)
So I wanted to downgrade my J7 because of the most recent android update my phones touch screen hasn't been working.
The phones screen got replaced once and before the update it worked perfectly fine.
My problem is that my phones binary number is 5 and none of the older versions of android on the J7 have a binary number of 5, only 3 and 4.
So is there a way to downgrade that too or do I have to do something else?
My J7 model: SM-J730F
