After you apply you must wait at least 2-3 days(up to two weeks) for your account to get permissions. To find out if you have permissions simply download the Miflash unlock tool from the Mi website, enter with your account(the same you use to your phone for the Mi services) and the program will let you see if you have permissions to unlock the bootloader. If so, simply click the unlock button. The process will take around 30-60 seconds. If the counter goes to 100% then you have successfully unlocked the bootloader. As for the root this video seemed to work for me:

I was unlocked once and used command to relocked it
now I want to unlock again but it unable to unlock
maybe mi account can remember that I already unlocked :crying:

If the waiting time is finish (now is 360 or also 720 hours and you see that message, try to sign out of MI account in Settings and then sign in. I did it and it just worked, my bootloader is unlocked now
I owned 4 redmi series phone, no problem on unlocking the bootloader, only when I unlocking the first phone, I needed for 30 dayse to unlock the second phone, now my three phones already unlocked, yesterday just unlocked the Poco f1, if I get another new phone, I needed to wait for 30days. During the locking process of my pocket f1, the only problem was it can't verify my device, the off WiFi and on mobile data, log out from my account and login again, then I successfully unlocked my Poco f1.

I have a Pocophone F1, I have been trying to get the bootloader unlocked for a few weeks now without success
What usually happens with the Miui unlock tool, is that it will say something like unlock failed try again in X amount of hours
I have been trying to unlock it using win10 running in a VM on Linux
I did have a macbook pro which I managed to get a native win10 install running on
Said macbook pro has managed to spontaneously brick itself somehow
I have a suzyQ debug cable, seems like this too has managed to brick itself for anything other than charging currently
I picked up today a EDL/QDL cable (fyi i also have a Pixel4a5g that spontaneously bricked itself into EDL/QDL mode)

Is there a native linux tool for unlocking the bootloader on a pocophone F1?
I cant remember where I saw it, but there is apparently a way to unlock and flash a pocophone via the EDL deepflash cable
I would like to know if there is a way I can grab a backup ideally of the whole phone first, but specifically the radio and EFS, how can I do this?
Normally I would backup via twrp, but I can't install twrp on the F1 until the bootloader is unlocked
