just wait 3 days. don't try because you will get similar errors, counting down. like 48 hours to unlock etc.
sadly 3 days rule is there.

So if I try tomorrow it will be saying try in 48 hours ? Is counting down ? Is not an error?

Not sure, sometimes it takes ages to unlock bootloader on a Xiaomi phone. You better give it a go once you're free enough.
Try few days later..

How long is your xiaomi account registered? I've seen a lot of examples on MIUI China BBS. They're both short accounts. Or you've never used a xiaomi phone before, and that's just a wait of 72 hours
Got permission to unlock bootloader today. Been trying to unlock my device for the last 15 minutes, again and again I'm getting the message 'Current account is not bound to this device.'
Any solution for this?

You can try everyday.. Or just wait for a few days and then try because trying everyday and getting an error is frustrating!
7 days and counting.
still not unlocked.

Are you using the same mi account which has got the official permission on your phone? BTW i dont think you have to wait. i unlocked mine in seconds after getting the permission.

Yeah I only have one mi account to begin with. I got the permission within 30 mins but unfortunately the unlocker gets stuck at 99%
Hi,
Has anyone tried to unlock the bootloader on their new phone? If so, what was the wait time you were given by Xiaomi? Am curious as recent Xiaomi phones have vastly increased waiting times for unlocking but as this phone is a global model and supposedly developer friendly I am hoping to not have to wait weeks when I receive mine.
Also, as an oem unlock does a full reset, is there any good method for performing a nandroid style backup of all apps and associated settings so if I do have to wait, I don't need to set everything up twice?
https://en.miui.com/unlock/
not able to apply, after login it just says ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS :/
were u able to apply ?
edit : installed mi unlock on pc then tried, says 1440 hours wtf

AFAIK there is no way to take a nandroid backup without rooting your device. Now if you could root your phone without unlocking the bootloader that might just do.
However there are few exceptions like HELIUM you can try.

I used a very old Mi ID, should I create a new account and try or will it mess up the time limit more?

Xiaomi changed the bootloader unlock policy. Now, you can unlock the bootloader after 3 days. I just unlocked mine which was showing 720hours.

Has the oem unlock switch actually stuck in the correct position, it's a stupid switch that reverts itself, when you leave the screen you gotta click it a few times, sorry if you knew that already
I've been unlocking my kenzo since day 1 with no hassles. Recently I decided to flash a fastboot rom so solve my proximity sensor problem (which it didn't, ofc). Then I tried to unlock the bootloader to roll back to my previous twrp backup but after trying to unlock, it sticks at 99 percent showing a description in Chinese. Thanks to the recent advancees in technology(!) I could translate it to English.
It says "The phone is not used in the specified time, unable to unlock"
I just ask for permission in the developer options while OEM unlocking switch is on, and after that I reboot into fastboot mode right away to unlock the device. What the heck am I supposed to do?

They are already auto. and no proxies for pc.
I tried for months but ended up using unofficial method. It is impossible to unlock unofficially for kenzo since 8,9 months.

I didn't say I was using the chinese version, I downloaded the official one that the unlocking page gives me which is in English. But that specific error was written in chinese. Like something from the server.

After 72 hours required by the Xiaomi tool. It is still not possible to unlock the bootloader of my Pocophone F1. I'm with find device enabled, sync enabled, OEM unlock enabled, USB debugging enabled and Mi account connected. If anyone knows how to solve this problem, please tell me.
PS: My ROM is MIUI 10 Global Beta v8.12.7
That's weird. Have you tried unlocking when the 72 hours weren't over yet? Because if you try to it should show the amount of hours remaining. If it never showed that while trying to unlock within the 72h period it might be another problem. Maybe you can run the chinese text trough google translate, with a tool that converts an image to text (don't know of any but they probably exist).

Register your device phone number first from developer options. That might solve it.
In the new version of Mi Unlock says in English that I need to use my device for a few more days to be able to unlock the bootloader. But it does not say exactly how long, slowly I'm trying.

Try rebooting a few times. Add a fingerprint if you haven't already. Sync with Mi Cloud every time after you reboot. These things could add to your "usage score".

You are supposed to use the phone normally after making the request for bootloader unlock. Please also note that you should be logged into your mi account in your phone all the time. If you do that and also do a few syncs as suggested by another member, you are sure to get approved. There is no other way, you have to wait.

I reverted to my old phone after I made the unlock bootloader request and I was not logged in to my Mi account the whole time. I switched on the Poco about 2 weeks later and was able to unlock the bootloader with no problems. The trick for the OP is to not only register your email with your Mi account but also your phone number through settings.
I think that's what he is missing.

I'm pretty sure that's what he is missing. Solid advice.
If the above methods don't work, then just factory reset your device and repeat the steps! I'm sure it'll work
Had the same problem.
Unbounded my account and loged in again on the phone.
Now the tool works and i'm unlocked...
Try toggling off the OEM Unlock setting then toggle it on again.
I'm facing the same problem, I requested for unlock last weekend, tried yesterday to unlock (as well over the 72 hours) & was notified that I need to try again in 1 day. I also tried the various suggestions here, but nothing helped/worked.

If it is asking you to wait for a day? I suggest to wait for a day, bottomline is there is no alternate to it, as far as I saw, go step by step, shall wait and see, should work fine
Best to insert the sim card to poco phone and using it for there days after bootloader unlock applied.
