I like miui rom better than stock android roms. Because of that I found out that there are two miui based roms. Globe rom and Xiaomi.eu rom. Can you tell from your experience which one of them is less buggy and a better customizable ?
Eu miui is more customizable but tbh i didn't try it yet i use V9.6.25.0.OEJMIFD global stable its very smooth and give me great battery life more than a day with 10+ hours of sot and i don't face any bug what so ever i was before on miui 10 beta its was less smooth and less battery life
I'm using the EU beta version already and I have to say it works very well.
It also has more options than the global version.
Just try it yourself and be surprised.

I'm not talking about the global rom. There is a customizable rom based on miui rom which called globe rom.
I tried globe rom today (first time flashing for poco) you can set it up wit the globe website.
But not all functions are working, i switched off browser, included root/magisk/ad away but it diddn't work.
I renamed the rom zip to rom.zip (so not the orginal name)
Rest of rom function i'm testing atm
Could that be the problem

adaway (or other apps you chose) are stored in sdcard/globeROM_apps for you to manually install after flashing, they are not (i believe) installed automatically.
it says on the site that sometimes magisk doesn't work or doesn't even allow boot. if that's the case just manually flash/install it
are you also saying that the browser didn't get removed? not sure on that one, did you clean flash - wipe data, cache, dalvik, system? you could try re-building the rom or flashing again

The globe rom IMO is just stock global rom with a little of customization. EU version is better for me.

No, I'm not sure! I've just read at the rom builder website people asking for gapps to be optional in the expert settings. So thought I'd ask. Hopefully I'll get the device through the post this week and will try it. I'll report back!
I reflashed without wipe data with orginal final name, it worked better. Apps got deleted and it update magisk from .1 to .2 version.
I only can't find center clock mod and adaway, it is stated in the install log as succesfull. First have to look into what i'm missing.

This is a request if someone can make a minimalistic rom, preferably for the SNapdragon version (both would be even better)
This rom preberaly runs on a custom kernel tweaked to have less logging and a minimalistic approach.
It should have only the minimal software needed for the hardware to function, the rest could be an optional flash package where one could choose what they need, this will not only help run the phone cool and smooth but also improve the spectacular battery life.
this rom if built on the global beta could have root built in , since bootloader would be unlocked to flash this rom.
Thoughts anyone ?
Nice idea! I also have the feeling MIUI is too bloated and that too many unnecessary services are active. I hope someone would consider this idea and if someone misses any functions, they should be able to flash a zip file or select the functions via an AROMA installer when you first install the rom.

Wish you luck, unlocking the bootloader officialy is indeed quite the hassle. Hope they fix the problems with mi flash unlock tool some day. I'll try to help you out when I can unlock the bootloader as well.
I also would like to see some slim version, especially one that doesn't consume too much ram.
The lightest edition I've found until now are the xiaomi.eu roms (around 620MB zip).
Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using XDA-Developers mobile app
thanks for that , it seems the xiaomi.eu roms are based on the latest CHina beta with all the chinese stuff removed, waiting for my bootloader to be unlocked. this seems like the best bet to use on the phone.

But anyway, I have a global stable based xiaomi.eu rom. And a theme app is a proof for that (no customize menu on global roms).

Has anyone had any problems installing this? My device gets stuck on the welcome screen every time, I've tried the 5.7.4 and the 5.7.3 versions, with and without gapps. I wipe the device, dalvik and cache, flash the rom, and after rebooting the welcome screen where you pick a language shows up. I select a language, press the next button, connect to my wifi, and then it goes back to the welcome screen again and nothing more happens. Am I missing something?
Thank you for this great ROM!
For a long time I had a 5.1.1 ROM on it (Temasek) and thought that it's just the hardware of the tablet which doesn't allow for more battery life and more standby time. I used the tablet mostly as a kitchen radio because, with Viper4Android, the speakers are very loud and clear, ideal for spoken broadcasts.
Now, with this ROM, this has changed. The device is indeed resurrected! Especially the standby time is great now! The additions like Live Display are also welcome.

Don't know if I understood you correctly. You flashed the gapps directly after flashing the ROM without letting it reboot, didn't you?
Think I had the same issue with this ROM on another device.
For being on the save side, I've wiped after flashing the ROM as well and then it worked.

Hi, are you going to bring an Android 7 version for the 325?
This is not my ROM, but an interesting development ported from the MI8 (based on the latest global beta). I started this thread to keep it separate from other threads like the PE ROM thread.

This is beta port by russian developers vovcik3 & gggevgenggg on 4PDA (who is the original developer?). Asking for missing features here makes little sense, reporting for information is ok and helpful though
-- quoted from chrome6boy on page 2 --
1. Works really well, no bugs! Great port!
2. It has Magisk in built and disables encryption.
3. Regular MIUI launcher not the POCO launcher
4. Debloated - quite snappy
5. Dark mode in settings, very cool!
6. No English (India) language available, not the end of the world.
7. Option to use Indian themes in settings!

When I open chrome or any browser and surfing the web it's getting into horrible stutters. That's the reason many ppl don't use Q based miui.
Can u open chrome - go into incognito tab and surfing the web? After ~1min or sometimes after ~10mins the whole phone gets rly slow and everything is stuttering. Not only web based stuff.

Hi alll,
I was recently gifted a Mi 10 and looking to retire my Pixel 3. I'm not a huge fan of the MIUI firmware and was hoping to flash with a more vanilla Android ROM.
A few questions:
- this specific phone is the mi 10 5g...can I flash with one of the roms posted here?
- in the event of a brick, is the stock Xiaomi firmware available for download from somewhere?
- any suggestions for cases/protection?
I've been on pixels for over 6 years now, and love how easily I can flash Google's stock firmware. Is this possible with a Xiaomi?

Unfortunately I didn't note the original ROM name before wiping, but I recall not being able to find any details on it through a Google search (no search results with the ROM name).
The ROM I flashed is V12.5.4.0.RJBMIXM

Awesome! Thank you for the tip. I'll check it out and looking forward to playing some more with different Roms. Will definitely try this one.
