It just would not get data ON despite checking all data and network settings. APN is OK. IMS registartion as per *#*#4636#*#* is OK. Did not try call out. Incoming call thru with extremely good clarity. But the biggest drawback was data - Jio - would not go on. I don't bother if 4G/LTE shows up on status bar or not. Keeps asking for data connect. Trying again in few minutes with super clean install including internal storage. Will post results soon hopefully with screenshots.
Edit:
See attached images:
1. Installed after total wipe via sideload. No GApps.
2. Calls incoming/Outgoing on VoLTE "crystal clear" on phone. Not tried headphone.
3. Data available only on WiFi.
4. IMS resgitration OK but no data via nw whatever be the chosen network type. Wonder how VoLTE works without data connection!!!

Hello there,
I also had this problem with the mobile internet on a few Roms, but I quickly figured out what the reason was:
It did not even ask at the first start, which Sim you would like to use for the Internet. That's the sticking point. That's why it does not connect.
Simple solution: Under Network & Info should be an option called Sim cards: There then for call, SMS and Internet select the right SIM. (Before I changed anything, the internet option was set into "ask" ). EDIT: You could just use the search in settings, search for "preferred Sim" or just "Sim"
That should be it, tell me if it's working now, should normally
One question from me, does this rom has an option to enable lockscreen music visualization? :victory:
Apart from that, a big thanks for the developer for this project, I'll test it soon as well.

Thank you both. I use single VoLTE SIM. Since IMS registration goes thru an IP is assigned meaning data connect is available irrespective of number of SIMs used. Besides, because one SIM is used question of "preferred SIM" doesn't arise. All data, calls and messaging are done thru that.
However thanks for the alternate solutions provided.

@[email protected], is there any dependency on GApps for initial setup with respect to data and probably some other settings? I tried yesterday without installing GApps but no success on mobile data though IMS registration went thru. Mobile data settings were not saved and kept asking for it. You may see me earlier posts. Today with GApps it went thru well. Yet to test as I've just rebooted after install. VoLTE calls have been found to be clearer on this ROM for me. Good work.
Edit: is it AOSP Extended based? The white transition on qs swipe down is a giveaway. You seem to have resolved certain theme based issues. Have to wait and see battery overhead as the ROM seems to be on performance mode by default though it says balanced as the speed is high. Cam is a no go. In total darkness with auto flash I get white pix on close up shots. Sometimes the flash remains on and no shot forever. Switching back to front and vice versa takes ages. Not an issue for me as Tolyan009 port works.

Hey. How's the battery life and SoT of this ROM? Can someone test it and send ss plz? Thx

No there is no dependency of gapps for your mobile data network. And to be honest I fixed that mobile data problem.
I have been flashing this ROM everyday for testing and don't find any major issues. And for that quickstyles animation just wait for few hours let the ROM settle it will disappear itself. For GCAM
I recommend use arnova's pixel3mod v1.4 I removed toylan's gcam in this build. And yes this ROM is only for Performance and Smoothness so don't expect good SOT.
Like my work ?

Nice to know that. ROM actually flies compared to few others. 5% of battery lost over 7.5 hrs of sleep, so I presume SOT will also be good but I don't really worry about it for a more than 2 year old battery.
The NW signal reception too is higher which certainly is a plus for me particularly in concrete jungle environ.
Great work.

I don't use any of that crap.

Dirty installation on omni without any problem.
Exceptional level of customization.
Screen transmission does not work
The stock camera does not work. He asks for a sd card. It's not a big problem because the Gcam 6 works well

Always follow the OP through and through.
If things are acting weird, or you have things going on and don't see too many people reporting it.
Redownload rom and gapps
Wipe data factory reset
Wipe dalvik and cache
Format System (upon flashing rom it will do this automatically)
Then flash rom and gapps then reboot system. (boot the rom and then go back and flash your kernel of choice, if that's what you choose to do).
Also if having issues, boot into safe mode and see if issues still persist. Boot into safe mode by hold power button and long press on reboot. This will boot you into no 3rd party apps mode, basically. To get out of it, just reboot normally
To enable Developer Options, go to; settings|about phone|tap build number 7/8 times
to enable reboot options,(recovery, download) enable advanced reboot in Developer options
Dual Panel mode will cause some weirdness in settings. Turn them of to set everything up and forget about it after.
All the tabletui settings work but nav colors reset after reboot
If you have the "tick" while playing music then disable "Screen lock sound" & "Touch sounds". Temporary work around for now
No PhotosPhere in this rom still...might get added but depends on stability and CyanogenMod
You must flash Gapps everytime you install the rom as it wipes system every time. Use the gapps in the original post, if you use other Gapps keep those errors to your self and adress the person that made those Gapps.
Facebook acts up and is weird?? Stop using the app.
Update system apps before saying things are broken. (Google Now)
If you decide to run a 3rd party kernel, take your issues about; speed, battery, and reboots to that thread, we cant change their kernel to make it better for you, they can. Thanks.
You will not have a 4g icon, it is an H+ when data is being retreived, when idle it is a 3g icon.
This is a work in progress, I'll update it as needed
FAQ PART

It is based off SlimRoms, with a lot of changes... It is it's own rom now

In a Touchwiz rom.
How do I take a screenshot?
Volume down & power, OR... settings>powermenu>enable the screenshot.

I look forward to testing this rom!
Seems like I been setting up my phone with something new every day lately. It's nice to finally get a bunch of new developers for this phone. Welcome
beamed from transporter room 3
This looks awesome will definitely stay updated with this ROM.
I love the little and subtle differences about this rom. The Font, The Animation, The Organization of the Interface Settings.... Really Slick Rom.. Pretty impressed with this!
I am very happy everyone is enjoying my build both official and unofficial ones , both there is a little problem ,as I am from India bandwidth here is very costly and due to fair usage crap my high speed(2mbps) connection bandwidth is almost over.I would be very grateful if you people would help me buy more data ,so as to provide you with updated builds for your device.
Still I will try to provide you with as much updates as my pocket can buy ...

Having tested the initial build, I've found no bugs at all. This is the most solid beta I've found.
Edit:
A few things that might help a future build. ES file explorer really helps for installing apks we might have on sd card as well as moving files that the default file manager seriously lacks. There is no reboot to recovery option under the reboot tab. Beyond that, amazing first build.

This ROM is great. Beast AOSP yet....I used slimICS and slimBean on my Gnex, glad to see a ROM based off it for us.
Thanks!!

dude this is running amazingly! thanks for this!
This ROM is the bees knees amazing work guys simply amazing ! So glad to see a slim base here .

It's kinda funny cause last night I had emailed some slim devs asking if they would bring slim to us and then the next day we Have a rework of it.
I believe this to be the fastest, smoothest, fluent and graphic glitch free AOSP so far. All is perfect so far... I need to study audios and GPS before calling it the hands down best
Also I am digging the KLP theme
And the I truly love the animations

Can we get a link to the kernel.baked into the ROM.? I would like to dabble with Devil or Plasma just to see how they play but in case they don't do well with this I'd like to return back to the kernel initially baked in.

I'm a Stock ROM kinda guy, but after reading the glowing reviews of this ROM I may just give it a try.
Let me another +1 to comment on how smooth this ROM is, didn't think I'd be going back to AOSP but this was too tempting. Everything just flows, its so fluid.
How is the volume compared to the volume in other 4.2.2 roms?
I absolutely love this rom and have only one minor issue, that's with the volume. Its a little low to me but I'll report back if I find a work around or any other issues.

Volume is going to be low around all aosp roms for a while. At least until CM Commits show a fix/change in the volume. Once that is fixed in the CM thread, then all aosp roms merge those changes into their own build. There are workarounds in the meantime and i believe Shangrila has posted one in the plasma kernel thread. Just the latest 411 for ya.

10-04-2014 - Updates because I can. I moved the ROM to my private server for hosting.
08-03-2014 - Updated to 4.4.4! Get yo sleek on!
06-13-2014 - Updated Vanir code base. Oh, hi. So, how are you holding up? BECAUSE I'M A POTATO.
06-06-2014 - Updated to 4.4.3. Share and enjoy!
06-02-2014 - More clean up in the Vanir code base. Its June, I figured we could use something fresh. We haven't entirely nailed down what element it is yet, but I'll tell you this: it's a lively one and it does not like the human skeleton.
05-28-2014 - Theme chooser implemented! Let's be honest: Neither one of us knows what that thing does. Just put it in the corner, and I'll deal with it later.
05-21-2014 - Removal of Performance Control during baking of the ROM, things just got nasty. >.< We fire the whole bullet, that's 65% more bullet per bullet.
05-10-2014 - Morfe changes to the Vanir code base, I got bored and updated.
05-05-2014 - Cinco de Mayo update, changes to Vanir Code base, more under the hood changes. You're angry. I know it. 'She tested me too hard. She’s unfair.” Boo hoo.
04 - 27 - 2014 - Initial Commotio Rezound release. We can put our differences behind us. For science. You monster.
Sweet...more choices. Thanks mate. Downloading now!

ill give it a shot. whats the difference between this room and your vanir weeklys???? Which one is better in your opinion. Looking for a fast but battery friendly room that is stable and has no issues (lol im picky)
Shaaaazam! Just noticed this new thread. How does this compare to Vanir for batter life??? (crossing my fingers)
If you set the processor for deadline and the io scheduler for deadline you should be pretty good for battery. This is the project that I was cooking up on the sidelines.

Thanks for the input! I will definitely have to give it a try.
ADDED: Yowsa... the download server seems bogged down or having DNS issues... I'll try again later. You aren't self hosting the ROM, are you?

Self hosting currently and you have to accept the certificate to be able to access.

:good:
I'm testing it now.
:good::good::good::good: It's working great so far. Thank you.
Same here, data, MMS, camcorder all working well. I am testing / comparing against battery life. Thanks for the work on this ROM. Sorry if I am unfamiliar with Commorio, but is this a branch of sorts from Vanir? I see references to Vanir in different places. It certainly does not matter, I was just curious about the differences. Thanks!
I'm also running Commotio and so far everything is working great. My only observation is with the built in camcorder. Recording and playback works great for me in landscape orientation. However anything I record in portrait orientation is garbled when I try to playback. The good news is that I installed Google Camera from the play store and everything records and plays back in both orientation. So all good here. Thanks for all your hard work.

I want to install either this rom or the latest version of Vanir rom but I can't decide. Can anyone elaborate the differences between these two?

Commotio is a Vanir derivative with a few different tweaks under the hook and some interface changes. It would be like having 2 Z28 Camaros, one with a sun roof, and the other with T-tops.

Thanks.
Anyway, I installed both but unfortunately in neither of them I couldn't send SMS so I had to restore my previous backup of another rom. :crying:
I don't know what is it with sending SMS that I receive SMS but I can't send any.
If I just could get this fixed either of these two roms would be the ultimate rom for me.
I use GSM.
Commotio Rom
Rom is running very well no errors to report. Thank you:good::good::good::good::good::good:
Has worked fine since I installed it yesterday. SMS works, data works, and I can play music just fine (which is 99% of what I do with my phone). Battery life has been great and everything seems to run smooth. Thanks!
*edit: I rarely use the video feature, but tested and it stops recording after 3 videos. Tried Google Camera too and it appears to let you record more than 3, but doesn't actually save any past the first 3. The still picture part of both works fine though.

I use GSM too but in Europe. Specific steps are needed to make GSM fully work, what file(s) did you you flash/change in order to make GSM work?
If you dial *#*#4636#*#* and then go into 'Phone Information' and next to 'SMSC' tap 'Refresh', does it display the correct SMS Center number for your provider?

I just flashed the zip file for rom and nothing else. I can use the phone for calls and I even receive SMS but I can't send any messages through SMS.
I checked SMS center number as you instructed and it was there and the number was correct because I checked with another phone to make sure.

@flo071
I installed this ROM recently and couldn't be happier , it is fast, smooth, and has a lot of customization options. Feels a little different from my previous ROM (Bliss), but it is awesome. I'm attaching screenshots so people can see what it is like
installed this last night, wanted to give it a day before I posted. awesome rom! been running stock rooted marshmallow for awhile now, feels good being back on a custom rom especially one that works great. Keep up the good work!
Will be testing with a boost mobile phone. Nice to see an updated rom for sprint users hope this guy works good with keeping apns ^.^

Please post how it goes for you. I'm also on boost so curious.
Nice rom.
However there is no gallery app.
I have also had APN issues on my G900p (Virgin Mobile). Cannot send SMS and cannot send or receive MMS.

I'm on Boost as well and the only issue I'm having is no MMS capabilities.... yet. I'm still working this issue. Other than that, great ROM.

No I could not get it to work on Google Messenger or TrueMessenger. Flashed Universal_Boost_APN_Fix-R2.zip and that did not work either. The Universal_Boost_APN_Fix-R2 has worked well for me in the past but on the last stock rom I made for personal use I had tweak some things with it and other settings to get it to work. When I get some time I plan to do the same with this. I'm sure someone will chime in who already knows the fix because this is not an uncommon issue with sprint/boost roms and it has always been worked out before.
I have had no issues with sms, mms or anything data wise. I'm on Sprint. One bug I did find is I am unable to use custom sounds for notifications. I use Zedge for ringtone and notification sounds. Ringtone works but notification does not. Even in settings it lists the sound I want however when I get a text it uses stock notification sound.

That's the only reason that none of the cm13 roms are my daily. I need mms working properly. Once I hear of a way I'll be on one of those all the time. Custom roms being more reliable is the only reason I wish I was on Sprint and not boost.

Being on boost we have to jump through a few hoops you don't but I appreciate your feedback none the less. ?
Haven't seen anybody post about bluetooth. Does it studder like all other cm13 roms? are the reported issue with mms/sms only due to not being on sprint?
No luck...
I am also a Boost user... I tried this rom, seems to have potential... I was able to get lte, and mms to work using the boost apn fix but it was real slow switching from wifi to 3g, and back to lte...
I really hope to see this rom, and more kltespr roms progress since kltespr support is very limited anymore...
Note to kltespr boost users : I use AICP android 6.0.1 as a daily driver... The boost apn fix works great (lte is available usually before launcher is visible)...
I have a boost G900P and installed Beanstalk... Everything looked and works great (including 4g, sms, mms, with the boost R2 fix) except for phone calls... I cannot call nor receive calls without the whole phone crashing. In fact as soon as someone calls the it automatically restarts. And same goes for when I dial. I would love to continue using this rom but I cannot in this state. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Not sure if it is a fix, but during all the different roms I've tried there are times that I had to Odin back to stock... Then flash the rom... When you do flash a rom, be sure NOT to wipe the system unless specifically instructed to, and be sure to get a GPS fix with stock first...
Boost apn fix did not work for my mms problem. Tried some other apn and build.prop tweaks but still no mms. As for the bluetooth, yeah I get some stuttering every now and then when I'm listening to music in my helmet and take out my phone to do something real quick. @Skeptable that's crazy how everything works for you but the phone. How ironic is that? A smartphone that can't make or get calls. I guess I'll re-flash and try again since there are users reporting to have working mms on boost. Hopefully I don't run into a worse problem second go around.
notice, there is a trick to installing the boost apn fix...
1 : flash rom and gapps then reboot... let system settle...
2 : apply apn fix then reboot... let system settle...
3 : dirty flash rom (do not wipe anything) for second time and reboot...
rebooting between each step and letting android settle in each time has best results for me... usually just a couple minutes to settle in...

To God be the glory! Another successful rom!
Paranoid Android meets AOKP and CyanogenMod, all in one rom. That's what PAC stands for. It is a CyanogenMod based rom with cherry picks from AOKP and PA so you can have some really great features. A little more streamlined that AOKP, yet a little more feature filled than CyanogenMod. If AOKP was too much to handle, but PA or CM is too bland, then this is the middle of the road rom for you!

Be sure to follow these installation steps very carefully, as they may be different then what you are used to.
International Installation instructions (F, G, and FY at this time, possibly others) :
-Put your phone on the 5.1.1 Bootloader and Modem
-Download ROM and gapps, and put them on your phone or external storage.
-Reboot into recovery mode - TWRP (I personally installed this using Mickey's 3.0.0-0).
-Backup what you had. (Just to be safe.)
-Wipe. (I personally wipe everything prior to flashing new roms, but at least do the basic wipe.)
-Install Rom.
-Install Gapps. - Optional
-Reboot to system and enjoy!

etc....
What doesn't :
Code:
- On the first run, the setup app will say it has crashed, hit okay, then proceed as normal.
- The edge panel is not implemented at this time. The screen wraps around the edge.
- I have not found any big errors, fault crashes, or problems yet. Please let me know if you find an issue!

Notes:
Here are some notes about the rom that I thought might help:
Random Reboot issues?
If you are having random reboot issues with the new kernel, you can adjust the settings as follows:
CPU max freq. 2496 MHz
GPU max freq. 500 MHz
CPU governor interactive
GPU governor msm-adreno-tz
I/O scheduler CFQ
That should solve your issue with the kernel. If you want, you may also flash this baseline kernel:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/h9b68aaon1yvr11/aokp_pac-mm-kernel-baseline.zip
This baseline kernel will always work just fine, however the battery life and performance are not as good as the AKLU kernel.
Root access:
Be sure to enable developer options so you can enable root access to apps and/or adb. In the developer options you can also set advanced reboot options!
If the screen looks red-ish, check the settings->display->live display options, you may want to turn them off, it is a low light sensitive display option.
Airplane mode - While switching between WiFi and regular data, on rare occasions, the phone will get stuck where you have data or WiFi with the ! mark and no connectivity. If this happens, you don't have to reboot, just hit airplane mode, give it a second, then hit it again to get everything working again.
T-Mobile users with device model = unknown:
If you are using a N915T (like myself), then after you flash the datazip file, you will notice that your phone reports itself as "unknown" to apps like XDA, TapTalk, About Phone, etc.
The fix is very easy!
-Open /system/build.prop in any text editor
-Anywhere in the file, add this line:
Code:
ro.build.model=SM-N915T
Save and exit, then reboot your phone. You can check "about phone" under settings, you should see yourself as SM-N915T, and apps like XDA should report you as Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.
Setting selinux to permissive:
See @oscarmaldonado post here for one of the many ways to do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69235667&postcount=17
Apps:
Side App Bar - This has a semi useful side "edge" bar feel.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=infamous.apps.appsbarfree
Swiftkey Keyboard - This keyboard can be set so the keyboard does not wrap around the screen.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.touchtype.swiftkey
Spen Command - This app cost a few dollars, but enables the Spen to be somewhat smart again, rather than just a pointer stick.

If you find something else that will help other users, please let me know by posting in the thread!

This would be a big change for me . I have the verzion version and little to no development. So looking forward to getting this . Keep up the good work
First and foremost thank you for bringing CM13 to the note edge ......Wanna point out a couple of things, on the PAC man bulid the fingerprint works on the lock screen however not with third party apps (Just tested with Lockdown Pro and assumeing is the same with other third party apps that can utilize fingerprint) On unicorn bulid fingerprint does not work on lock screen nor third party fingerprint apps (Also just tested with Lockdown Pro....) Unicorn has a navbar and Pacrom does not which is important since recent button does not work on both CM bulids.....If interested in using Pacrom cause of fingerprint I would suggest using LMT from XDA as it's a pie navbar and it looks cool just set it up to open recent.....On both bulids you cannot use your headphones to make calls or receive calls unfortunately you won't hear nothing but when you take them out you can hear your call......The battery lights in notification on both bulids doesn't let you pick the colors you want but keep on going threw colors you will find one you like well it's better then stock roms, green and red light I'm currently using a nice yellow light , unicorn rom obviously has way more customize options then pacman but fingerprint works on pacman so that says alot if fingerprint Is your thing if not go with unicorn ....Alternatives for spen
Are using spen command (My preference) or using CM spen add on app from the play store with Note buddy.......Both roms can be used as daily drivers if fingerprint Is added to unicorn in the future I will be leaving Pacrom and coming to unicorn as for now pacman is my AOSP driver of choice......

PoochyX,
Thanks for letting me know! I can't be on both ROMs at once, but I like your comparative analysis!
Yes, both ROMs need a little more "smoothing out", but hopefully we can get those things ironed out soon.
I have never had a phone with a finger print sensor, so making that part work is a learning curve for me.

Response
Alaska thank you for your immediate response, Alaska where do you think the headphones not being able to communicate with the calls is coming from, obviously it's not cause of the 5.1.1. bootloader cause on the T-Mobile resurrection remix bulid which was a lollipop bulid running on the same bootloader rom as your 2 bulids was having the same issue also the same with the 2 alpha CM bulids for this and the international models ......Same issue with recent button either not working or being mapped incorrectly across all T-Mobile AOSP bulids could it just be a note edge incompatibility or you see a fix in the future more for the headphones then recent button cause theres alot of Alternatives for recent button......Again thank you for your time and dedication if I get this job next week I will gladly donate to your cause......

PoochyX,
First and foremost, I do not accept any donations, I do this for fun!
As for the recents/headphones across all custom ROMs on this phone: we are using the great work of Mickey, Deadman, and OldDroid, who worked on this phone a year or two ago. I used their device trees as a base, and now am "pruning" these trees to be more functional. So for these initial builds, the problems that they had is problems that we have. However, it is my goal to work on and fix as many of these problems as I can, good Lord willing, and time allowing.
Currently I am working on the recent button.
Notice that the recent button does light when you press it? This screenshot shows that the kernel does know that the user pressed the button. So that is great news because the button does function, and is seen, just improperly mapped to a function.
While building, there is a file called sec_touchkey that specifically handles the two front touch buttons, so I have changed some of these values, and we shall see if that helps when I build again on Monday.
Hope that helps!

But to the dev of this ROM.. good to have new roms to try.. thank you very much.
Do you recoment a specific kernel?

Also on the pac man ROM if you try to make a 911 call the phone automatically reboots....
Alaska I stand corrected the fingerprint does work also in the unicorn build......Unlike the pacman build right on setup it works....
With unicorn straight from setup it doesn't register you have to go to finger print in settings and do it like 2 times for one print to register also the 911 issue is in this build also so I'm assuming it's a CM bug

I don't think there are any other kernels that you can use at present, the modified stock kernels will likely not work, but you are welcome to try....

New build is up!
Praise God, a new build is up!
So, the OP has been updated with a new build. Not too many fixes yet, but you *should* be able to dirty flash this. I have tested the build, but as a clean flash, since I was jumping back and forth between other roms.
Change Log:
20161024:
-Built with Java 8.
-Added Kernel Adiutor and SELINUX plugin.
-Set kernel to SELINUX permissive by default. (You can use the SELINUX plugin to switch to enforce, if desired.)
Still working on the recent button. This change did not fix it, but hopefully we can get that resolved soon, as well as a few other things.
Also, adding some new Governors to the kernel as we speak!

Huzzah new Governors! Always a win in my book.
I've noticed an issue with no sound in-calls on my n915T region (Australia). I'm going to strip apart the radio fix over the next few days, and check to make sure it isn't a simple case of incrorrect / missing CSC codes.

While I have walked the Gold Coast, and had beets on my burger in Brisbane, I currently reside in a much colder place. However, my N915T has no issues with sound during calls.
Perhaps the N910G datafix file may help you? Or one of the other datazip files?

To God be the glory, my Slim7 Nougat project finally works on the Note Edge!
This is a very slimmed down version of Android Nougat, almost a "vanilla" experience with a few tasteful perks! By design, this ROM comes without root for those who wish to have a "pure" version without the entanglements that come with root, but it can also be easily rooted by using chainfire's SuperSU (see below for instructions and downloads). In it's default form, it is perfect for those banking apps, workplaces, and games that require you to have a phone without root. No need for tricks or hacks, all while having the latest and greatest Android on your Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.
If you do decide to use root, then you will be pleasently surprised to know that Substratum and layering works with this ROM. While not perfect, for the most part it functions well in my initial testing. However, if you find problems arise after installing a theme, please remove the theme to make sure it is not a substratum related issue.
**** This is an UNOFFICIAL ROM. Install at your own risk! ****
This SlimRoms Nougat ROM was built for the TBLTEXX using modified LineageOS TBLTEXX trees. I have only tried this on a TBLTETMO device, using the datazip files, but you are welcome to try it on anything AT YOUR OWN RISK. The updater script would need to be edited for something other than TBLTE, TBLTEDT, TBLTEXX, TBLTETMO, TBLTECAN. Chime in if it worked on your device.
A huge thanks to the SlimRoms Project team!
Disclaimer: SlimRoms is not responsible for any damages to your device.
All of my work is completely available for any who wish to use or modify it. I didn't make SlimRoms, the device trees, or vendor blobs. I simply used and edited existing material. A huge thanks should go to those who actually created this stuff.

Gapps link:

-Which I personally only tested Nano. Be sure to choose "Arm" and "7.1".
If you want the AKLU kernel - Better performance and battery life:

Be sure to only choose the SLIM 7 version.
TBLTECAN and TBLTETMO users may use the Data Zip files here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...ment/ril-data-fixes-6-0-1-bootloader-t3546110
However, there is a TBLTETMO/TBLTECAN version of this rom in the T-Mobile thread, but I did test that this worked.
This Rom has been stable for me, however, Nougat is new, so be prepared for some little hic-ups here and there. Be sure to follow these installation steps very carefully, as they may be different then what you are used to.
!!!FIRST BOOT TAKES LONGER THAN 5 EARTH MINUTES TO COMPLETE!!!
!!!IF YOU FLASH SUPERSU, IT WILL REBOOT SEVERAL TIMES DURING INSTALL, THAT IS OKAY!!!
Installation instructions ( TO BE NON-ROOTED ) :
-YOU MUST BE ON THE 6.0.1 MODEM and BOOTLOADER!
-Download ROM, and if desired, AKLU kernel, and gapps, and put them on your phone's external storage.
-Reboot into recovery mode - TWRP (I personally installed this using 3.0.0-0).
-Backup what you had. (Just to be safe.)
-Wipe. (I personally wipe everything prior to flashing new roms, but at least do the basic wipe.)
-Install Rom.
-Install Gapps. - Optional
--> OPTIONAL - After first boot, then go back to recovery and install the AKLU kernel. (Note that without root, you cannot change the settings of the kernel, and it is a bit agressive in the default state.... I don't recommend this for non-rooted phones.)
--> OPTIONAL - TBLTETMO/TBLTECAN users can flash the data zip files after the first sucessful boot.
Installation instructions ( TO BE ROOTED ) :
-YOU MUST BE ON THE 6.0.1 MODEM and BOOTLOADER!
-Download ROM, and SuperSU, AKLU kernel, and gapps, and put them on your phone's external storage.
-Reboot into recovery mode - TWRP (I personally installed this using 3.0.0-0).
-Backup what you had. (Just to be safe.)
-Wipe. (I personally wipe everything prior to flashing new roms, but at least do the basic wipe.)
-Install Rom.
-Install Gapps -- Optional.
-Let the system boot up.
-Go back to TWRP.
-Install AKLU kernel. - Optional
-Reboot to system.
-Go back to TWRP.
-Install SuperSU.
-Let the system boot up. Note that it may reboot a couple times during the boot animation, that is okay.
--> OPTIONAL - TBLTETMO/TBLTECAN users can flash the data zip files after the first sucessful boot.
-Enjoy!
Code:
What works:
So far everything that I have tried works, such as
- Camera for video and pictures (use orange camera app, not traditional blue camera app.)
- Phone calls/receiving
- Data 2g/3g/LTE
- Bluetooth
- WiFi
- PTP/MTP
- GPS
- WiFi hotspot
- Multi-Window
- Fingerprint sensor* See notes.
etc....
What doesn't:
- Notification LED only shows RED and YELLOW. To show YELLOW, choose CYAN as the notification color, and it will show up YELLOW. All other color choices appear RED.
- The automatic time zone function forgets where you are alot. Use the manual time zone instead.
- Choosing to reboot the phone sometimes takes a loooong time. It may be better to Power off and then start the phone, which is faster for some reason.
- Built in blue camera app sometimes gets "stuck" or freezes or crashes, I tested several other camera apps, and all worked fine, including the orange camera app and opencamera from the fdroid repository.
- There is no "edge" feature at this time.
- Let me know in the forums if you find other issues.
Main Features:
- Merged with android-7.1.1_r13
- SlimDim, now with 100% more dimming
- SlimAction, Splits screen action (long press app in slim recent)
- SlimRecents, an alternative recents
- Notification log (long press statusbar header)
- Kill app from notification (long pres app notification)
- Substratum support (if rooted)
- OmniSwitcher built in so the kill function works with or without root.
- Advanced reboot (found under security settings).

Change log:
Code:
20170223
-Fixed home button screen wake.
-Fixed WiFi hotspot.
-Added texting app.
-Added OmniSwitcher as optional switcher/tasker (makes a good "edge bar" since you can pin apps).
-Initial release!
Notes about the rom:
Fingerprint sensor:
I have successfuly used the fingerprint sensor, but it is a bit sketchy. To make it work:
- Go to register your fingerprint under security settings.
- I registered all 5 of my fingertips all at once, by clicking add another, and only 2 of them "stuck" when I clicked done. I redid it registering one finger over and over again several times, and it eventually registered and stuck.
- If after clicking done, the fingerprint settings says x-number of fingerprints registered, then those fingerprints are working. Once registered, then you can use it in apps, and for the lockscreen, which did work about 1/2 of the time for me.
- If the lockscreen does not show the "fingerprint" icon, reboot to make it appear.
Open Source apps:
There are quite a few really good open source apps included in this build, such as:
Browser app
Amaze file manager app
SatStat GPS app
Camera app (orange one)
All of these great apps and more can be found at https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/. You can also download other great apps there like music players, games, and everything else you might need. The Fdroid app allows you to maintain up to date version control and simple downloading and installation of these apps and is a lightweight alternative to the Google Play Store. that is certainly worth taking a look.
Hello, this ROM is also compatible with all versione / model of Note Edge?

Good question. In a word, no. However, another user in the data zip thread (referenced in op) successfully used the data zip to flash an international ROM to his us cellular phone. You can read more about it there.

Ambient Display Issue
I love this rom, yet more great work from AKLU, but a big problem I have noticed with the rom is that Ambient Display stays on, even when disabled in settings. It drains battery pretty bad and causes my leg to press screen in pocket. Thanks for your hard work!

As for the ambient display, it is in the settings menu twice, once under "display" and once under "gestures" do you have both off? Does it still happen if both are off? Thanks!
Actually, I think I fixed it. The gestures and display menu settings copy each other, if I turn off in one, it turns off in other and vice versa. But I found that if you turn it off and on twice, the setting seems to stick and it turns off. If you only turn it off once from it being on after first boot, the setting doesn't stick until you cycle it one more time. The ROM runs amazing though, and isn't nearly as power hungry as TouchWiz; Qualcomm quick charge actually charges quick now! Another bug I have found however is that stuff like gyroscope seems to freeze up along with accelerometer. Google Cardboard for example immediately stops responding to the sensors. And there are times that the device will stop auto rotating, a fix to that is to open YouTube app on a video and it fixes. This is still a fast and amazing ROM though, I just wanted to let you know about these bugs too, so they can be looked at. I appreciate your work a lot. You and Mickey387 are pretty much the only people keeping this dev scene alive. If you need anything like logs or to test something, I would be glad to help!

Thanks for the kind words! Yes, @Mickey387 is the man! I mostly just fine tune his really great work to use it on these other roms.
I am currently testing a new updated build of this rom, so that should be out soon. This is Slim 0.7, and I am testing Slim 0.13, so quite a few fixes, although not much more in the feature department, just keeping it slim. Interestingly, they did change the SlimLauncher to be more like the PixelLauncher, rather than the traditional TrebuchetLauncher style.
It also should fully support OMS, rather than legacy mode, but I am still testing that.
As for testing, yes, anytime that you have an error, please take a logcat, I will be able to help much better if I have logs to work with.... That being said, if you wait a few days for the new release, then test and log if the error persists, that would be great!
I use this great ROM till one week. I use it without the UKLA-kernel, with the hope to get better battery drain.
For me is one little problem. The inactivity display is a nice feature. But when I get a notification, the display is to dark for daily use. When I want to start the phone by active inactivity display, the display keeps dark. I have to press the power button twice to get full light. That's a long way.
Perhaps this is a normal nougut-feature?
---------- Post added at 07:25 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:07 AM ----------
Part 2 - I have to change the train. [emoji3]
Because of my little problem above, I try to disable the inactivity display, but unfortunately the solution from DaKillaz98 doesn't work for me. [emoji17]
Well, I found out that the solution worked until I rebooted, now ambient display is stuck on. Knickelei, the ambient display staying dark is a bug with Android not restoring brightness values after the screen has been turned on. Another bug I found is that the camera display when taking a picture in Facebook Messenger is really warped and weird. I will provide logcats when I get them.
