Previous SuperCharge compatibility - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi guys,
has anybody already tested if the Mate20 Pro is downwards compatible to the SuperCharge with 22.5 W (4,5V 5A)?
For Battery Lifetime reasons I'm only using the actual SuperCharge Variant (10V 4A) only if I really have to.
Thanks

Don't know either.
BUT you don't want to go to high. Just tried it and it froze the phone, resulting in reboot after reboot.
How you getting on

Its pretty fast and it doesn't waste that much battery but when I use the wi fi based apps it drains quickly
But I'm really happy with the results so thank ypu kormatoes

Hey he anyone is still interested in good cpu settings try downloading the app called set cpu it lets you set your cpu to the speed you want when you use it and you can set profiles like when the screen in off it automatically changes the speed of the cpu very low so it doesnt waste too much battery
Sorry for my bad english

My little bro had 748 Mhz on his Pro and it ran ok but he changed to 729Mhz and it very rarely reboots. He's also running FroyoComb
Each processor, even the same model is different, an overclocked 800 poddra without restarting, while another can sear 750.
You should set your CPU as much if you play games that require high performance or not, etc ...
I hope I have helped.

[Mod][6.x/7.x] Xthermal Mod -Fast Charging + Some CPU/GPU Tweaks

Original thread for Nexus 6P is located here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nex...t/xthermal-mod-fast-charging-cpu-gpu-t3433784
Hi Guys,
I'm back with the Xthermal Mod.
But this time it is for Nexus 5x.
Introduction:
Nexus 5x is one of the best handsets we have now. No doubts about that.
Nexus 5x has also got one of the best Fast Charging.
But why I always get around 800-1100 mA current while charging?
Max to max I get 1400-1500 mA current.
Is this the best fast charging I can get?
Then I opened my thermal engine file and started working on it.
Goal:
Xthermal_Fast_Charge: Here I tried to boost my charging current/speed while keeping rest values to their default.
Xthermal_Performance: Here I tried to boost my charging current/speed + Same basic CPU & GPU tweaks are also applied.
Also tested with roms based on "N" aka Android 7.x.
Downloads:
Links for Marshmallow and for Nougat: See the attachments.
How to apply:
1. Download the zip
2. Reboot to TWRP recovery
3. Flash the zip and reboot.
Wait let it settle a bit...
Now check the difference using Ampere app...

Thank you, I'll try out and give feedback. Are this values modifying the governor? I'm on elemental x with silver fish profile. And can you specify what should we expect from it? More battery? More performance? Sounds promising

Faster charging...
more better cpu and gpu performance in day to day tasks...
This is purely thermal engine based mod which works on tweaking the initial throttling values so that we can delay throttling a bit ...
Charges faster, thanks....
Works like a charm! Thanks for the work man! Much appreciated!
Never saw a mod like this lol, will try thanks

I have flashed all 3 zips and no matter which one is flashed the script always reads inside of TWRP "Back To Stock"?
Cool tweaks, pretty similar to the thermal throttling tweaks detailed in this thread months ago: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/general/guide-thermal-throttle-tweaking-t3395681
I'm not too wild about the battery temperature tweak here. Li-Ion batteries shouldn't really exceed 45 Celsius when being charged. The problem with these batteries is that the hotter they get, the worse rate they charge at. On top of this, higher temps reduce the battery's overall lifespan. Bottom Line: The temperature threshold for the battery in our phones is there for a reason.
Thanks for posting. I am currently on ElementalX with various over clocking enabled. Will this interfere with that in anyways or cause instability?
this changes whatever changes i may have already done to thermal.conf?

No issues at all as files inside the zips are correct...

Thx for reporting...
Edit: just checked...

Will edit it in evening... rtnw at office

Read the OP
Confirming this definitely works... I'm impressed truthfully. My charging speed was always crap, 300 mah with the 2.5 charger from Google, now it's 1750~ mah
Because I'm not sure, say I have a custom kernel, will this alter or negatively affect anything I already have going on? Or does this just modify only the charging?
Sent from my Nexus 5X using XDA-Developers mobile app
Does this tweak work alongside the Thermal Throttling Tweak by Razorless. Lost my charging brick and using an iPad one and the speeds never get to what it used to be, would love to try this out. Thanks

Speed up Mate 10 Pro

Hello,
I received the Mate 10 Pro today and comparing it to my Oneplus 3 it feels very laggy.
I feel it runs slower than my Redmi Note 4 even.
I already disabled animations like I did on the Oneplus 3 but I feel like the Mate 10 Pro is just slower.
How do you define "laggy" ?
Is it the touch ? Or the loading speed ?
I found my Mate 10 is bit sluggish in touch department,
So i do the old build prop mod, and it kinda help.
Try put these lines in your build prop (ROOT NEEDED]
#touchrelated
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=150
ro.max.fling_velocity=15000
ro.min.fling_velocity=8000
touch.pressure.scale=0.1
ro.min_pointer_dur=8

Touch might be to do with screen
Me too. It's horrendous coming from One Plus 5.
For 1st time Huawei users
From my experience with mate 9 then mate 10 pro Huawei phones speed up with time
My 10 pro was sluggish when new compared to my old mate 9 but after about 3 weeks of usage the phone became super fast and smooth
Same happened to me with the mate 9 after some time of usage the phone became very fast
I don't know why but Huawei says its mate series learn your behavior and usage with time.
You can try hard reset...got mine phone from like a 10 days and it is super fast, don't have any issues with battery and performace.
Yeah scrolling is sluggish,Samsung S8 on Oreo was super smooth, hope it willbe fixed because is really annoying.

You must have a defective unit, my mate 10 pro is incredibly fast compared to the S8 i had. And the battery OMG, love this battery life.
I was a Samsung user for very long
S1 s2 s3 note 3 note 5 s7 edge and my wife s4 and s6
No way any sammy was smoother than Huawei frankly ?
i come from lineageos on samsung s5. mostly its ok.
google maps though is a total joke!!! ive disabled all battery optimisations for the app and given it free reign of data useage . nothing speeds its up. its as bad as on my alcatel pixi. come on huawei. anyone else have this problem?
So after so many reports about the lag you still believe that I have a defective device?

So many ? Where ? You're only two here complaining, and one of you was using a aosp rom, not even the original one. lol
Dude we are talking about Stock. Check other threads also.

Not a single lag here on my Mate 10 pro, smooth as silk.
No problems here either. Very fast, much better than my last Samsung.

Mine also reacts without any lag... fastest phone I have seen so far.
No lag on my slide; mate 10 6GB.
No lag whatsoever for me. Smoothest phone i ever had. And i had alot
Try deleting the cache to see if it helps. Power off phone. Wait. Then press power and volume up buttons the same time. Wait around 6 seconds or so and release power button but keep pressing volume up for another 5 seconds and then release. You should get a new screen to reboot, wipe and reset data and then wipe cache partition (bottom option). Wipe the cache and reboot. Do not accidentally choose the reset data one.
Your personal data and files will be safe.
I have the Mate 10 Pro (128gb/6GB) version and running .119 stock firmware, no root. Absolutely no lag, very smooth and fast for me. Previous phone was a Samsung S7 Edge. Though i have to say that Google Maps is just slightly less smooth when scrolling around compared to other apps.

Question K40 pro only hitting 150k in antutu

Picked up the K40 pro a few weeks ago and was wondering why I wasn't seeing any of the thermal issues people were having with SD888's. Ran antutu twice and got 150k and 300k respectively. Anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas on how to fix it without root?

Based on the replies I got on reddit I've concluded Antutu is indeed bugged, hence the low results but also MIUI China 12.5.5 is throttling badly in games. I tried genshin with game turbo off and on and either way it stutters a lot, as compared to my mi11 which runs relatively smoothly

Question [CPU] & [GPU] Overclocking

Hey heroes of XDA!
I have a question, since watching a video from youtube, making a DIY gaming phone, he used a Mi 9, since the Mi 9 and Mi 9T Pro/K20 Pro has the same CPU and GPU, i wondered if i can overclock it too the same way he did, but since he rooted the phone to overclock it, i have doubts, if i root, overclock it to my heart´s desires, and unroot, does it keep the overclocked values? or does it reset?
here is the link for the youtube video where i saw the idea, and in minute 3:24 he shows how to overclock the CPU, GPU and the display (i know how to overclock)
im actually copying the idea he had, but instead of a Mi 9, im using a Mi 9T Pro/K20 Pro since i already have the device in perfect condition, i know how to root it, but i had to unroot due to safetynet issues that was way out of my knowledge how to fix the problem, thats why im asking if i can unroot it after overclocking the CPU so i dont have to deal with the same issues i had before,
i dont want a custom kernel/firmware or whatever, i want the phone as stock as possible excluding the chip overclock, heat and battery life isnt an issue since im planning to cover the back with a thin layer of copper plate, with a custom phone case (cutting the middle of the case) and im buying the blackshark funcooler 2 pro to take care of the heat, and since i already have a 20k mAH battery pack, power isnt a problem for a whole day outside my house gaming with the phone...
i know this might be a foolish question for some of you, but i dont know, since i never tried rooting then overclocking, then unrooting..
thanks in advance and have a wonderful day/night!
WRONG FORUMS!! AND I DONT KNOW TO DELETE IT!, I ALREADY POSTED A NEW THREAD IN THE PROPER FORUMS OF K20 PRO, SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE!
