OK, so maybe I'm going a bit doolally here so go easy on me.
I had an issue with my freebuds yesterday, no sound from the left ear, which seems to be a regular issue. Anyway a reset sorted them out. But in the meantime, I unpaired them and turned my phone off. When I did this, a song stared playing (some girl singing). The buds weren't in their case at the time and haven't been paired with any other device. When I restarted my phone and paired the buds again, the song stopped playing. Unpaired them again and the song started playing again.
As Halloween is just a few days away, I'm hoping that there is a demo song file programmed into the phones or case. Otherwise, I'm calling a priest in.
There are a couple of songs pre-loaded on the phone, they're not in user storage but I vaguely remember being able to delete them with the phone's file browser.

Ok, this one is a bit WEIRD.
Just went out to the trail, and I loaded Endomondo (wanted to check it out), and then I started playing an album in the stock HTC music app. I lock the screen and put the phone in my pocket, start running, and bam...the song skips to the next one. And then the next one, and the next, etc.
I take the phone out, screen is unlocked, Voice Dialer is on screen, Subsonic and Google Music app loaded as well, and my phone started dialing the last person I spoke to.
I close all of the apps, and try again. As soon as I start running, and consequently start shaking the phone on my pocket, the same thing happens. A battery pull stopped this behavior, but I was able to reproduce it again when I got home, just by playing a song, locking the screen, and gently shaking the phone.
Anyone else experience any similar issues?
EDIT: Just to mention that I am able to reproduce a similar thing with ANY music app. In most cases, the playback stops and the Voice Dialer is on screen.
EDIT 2: Looks like I'm not the only one: http://androidforums.com/htc-evo-3d/364209-head-phones-causing-songs-fast-fwd-skip.html
EDIT 3: I think I figured it out. Sometimes, when I plug the headphones in, the phone detects it as a HEADSET. /sigh
Should I take this thing back?
dsp
anybody get a FC on an incoming call from DSp?
dsp manager
sorry, disregard, apparently dsp isn't cooperating with sense 3.0 juse tyet
my bad
Yep same problem here... Be sure to report the issue to HTC
sent from a double barreled shooter
I had the same exact issue after I installed Google Music. The only fixes I found were to manage to get to the task manager and kill everything. Also, I noticed that if I plugged my auxiliary cable in halfway the headset icon with the mic would appear, but when I push it in all the way the headset icon would appear without the mic and the problem would be gone.
I've been having a similar issue, although it hasnt opened the voice recorder when my phone is in my pocket sometimes the song will skip around, sometimes it will skip to the next song.. it's odd. I think it's more of a software glitch than anything..
So my wife has the rezound and since the ICS update she says it seems like a new phone and loves it even better. just a note for those that are hating the ICS update.
But ......
there does seem to be a little bug that has been effecting it lately she says that music plays randomly out of the blue for no reason. It just starts playing for no reason whatsoever anybody else have this issue ?????
Is she hitting the button on her headphones?
slightly similar issue, I was listening to music via Google Play Music the other day, and after more than an hour of music, it would just start switching to the next song... then again.. and again until it was like every second haha. I messed with my volume hard keys (hold to skip song enabled), and with my beats hard controls and nothing ... later rebooted/fix permissions and it happens no longer. Try that perhaps, no?
bluetooth range
she must have came in and out of bluetooth range
Check to see if any of the songs on her phone is copy protected.
any song that ended with .m4p makes my phone go insane and just play random songs even if didn't touch the phone at all.
No
No she doesnt even play music on it. No headphones she gave them to her daughter when she got the phone. no music widgets the phone can be sitting idle and randomly play music. The only music she is connected to is my google music account but i dont even think any of it is synced to her phone she doesn't play music on it
Hi all,
I'm facing a really weird problem with my Z2. I use a pair of Creative EP-630s with my Z2 and PowerAmp as my music player app. Yesterday, while playing music, suddenly my earphones went silent. I thought the jack was loose, and tried pushing it hard into the phone output jack - doing which I noticed a split second of music output before it went silent again. I tried doing this a few more times with the same result and gave up. Later I tried the noise cancelling NC31 earphones which came with the phone and it started playing music normally. No problems whatsoever. I tried the EP-630 again, and I got the same split second audio and silence. I tried 2-3 other earphones on it, and all of them played split second audio and then went silent. However, the NC-31 is playing fine.
There is no problem with the EP630 as it is playing fine on my other phones. I tried restarting, leaving the phone off for a period and then turning it on, but to no avail. If it's a HW problem then the NC31 wouldn't have played. But it keeps playing fine! I know about the OMTP and CTIP jack standard thingie, but the thing is, the EP-630 payed absolutely fine for 2-3 months and it suddenly went silent. I can't take it to the Service, as I bought it without warranty. Any ideas? I'm pretty stumped.
I really don't like the sound output of the NC31, otherwise I'd have continued using it.
EDIT: I forgot to add, I'm using a D6503, unrooted with stock firmware on KitKat 4.4.4. The problem is the same with the Walkman player, Video player and VLC.
EDIT 2: I bit the bullet and performed a factory reset. It's working now, at least for the time being. How strange.
Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is a Z2 issue or a wider Android issue because this is my first Android phone since jumping from iOS.
I've had this phone about a year, and I love it, but one thing really annoys me. If I play some music over bluetooth to my car, it works fine, but if I stop the music when I get out of the car, and then go back to the car a bit later I can't just hit play on the bluetooth adaptor to get it to carry on playing. I need to get the phone out and reopen the app and play from there.
This is the same with whatever audio app I use. Google Music, Audible, Pocket Casts etc.
On iOS, I could stop a podcast on Friday when I got out my car, and then on Monday morning hit play and it would just carry on where it left off.
Is there any way to do this on Andoird? A setting? An app? It's a small thing, but it's literally the ONLY think I like less on this phone than my old iPhone. I waited for the Lollipop update because I hoped this would sort it, but no luck.
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
Recently bought a V30 and enjoying it so far. One of the main reasons I bought the phone was for the audio capabilities it has.
I just got round to loading my music colection onto the phone. On quite a high number of songs when skipping to the next track when the DAC is enabled it seems to skip the first 0.1-0.25 seconds (estimate) of the next song. It doesn't sound like much, but it is so annoying as you miss the first few notes or half a word. As soon as you disable the DAC or play through speakers the problem goes away. The problem also goes away if you get to end of the previous song, it only seems to occur when you hit skip. Is anybody else having this issue or know a way to correct this?
UK V30 (H930), Apps used were Google play and LG music player. All MP3s are 320kbs, tried on multiple different headphones and earbuds (including supplied). I've also tried turning off and on/updating software to no avail.
Cheers, Joe
