did anyone have a working twrp image for the honor 8x, or did anyone know which twrp file can be used?
Have a unlocked bootloader and want to install twrp, but I cannot find any release yet. Maybe Iam blind or there is nothing.

I dont know. It could, maybe. Cause I could not find any honor phone what is similar to the 8x. It is possible to compile twrp by yourself, but I dont have the time / know how to look into it So I hope that anyone will bring a twrp at the next time ^^

But if you want you can try it. If it wont work you would only brick recovery. It is easy to repair. Booting is is still possible with bricked recovery.

We already found someone from twrp builder who's building one for us. Please add me on telegram: 19794887268. We are all contributing a small donation to him if he can get twrp working on the 8x.
I think I know something on this
I remember an XDA forum which suggested how some devices which had similar specs especially the processor and RAM, provided they are of the some brand had a common TWRP image. Another user confirmed it by reporting that the TWRP alpha build by pretoriano80 which was made originally for the android 8 version of Honor 9 lite also works on Honor 7X, Honor 9i, Huawei Mate 10 lite, P20 lite, Nova 2i etc. All of the above mentioned devices run on the kirin 659 processor and have 4Gb RAM. So if you can't find the TWRP for Honor 8x, try to find the image for Huawei Nova 3i as this phone too runs on kirin 710 and has similar memory requirements.

KII (gr5) series seams major varient of KIW (Kiwi / 5X ), almost every specifications are same. So it looks like there is a greater possibility of having support from the development for 5X to gr5. Keeping both varient close to each other and identifying difference (if any) between them also a help with development. In this thread if users can provide any success stories of making use of 5X things on gr5 like twrp for 5X on gr5 and so on is useful.
Is there any one having gr5 success with any of following
1. Unlock boot loader
2. Install Twrp recovery
3. Rooting
With support of guidance for 5x or some way else?
If yes, please share the successful process.

how did you managed getting unlock bootloader key? i stucked hours when i kept getting IMEI-SN wrong input. Which IMEI did you use? IMEI1?
What did you type on product type? Mine's written HUAWEI KII-L22. Should I wrote completely or just KII-L22.

Can anyone give me some info if new update comes or not? Also I'm wondering in Marshmallow update do we have camera pro mode and Raw capture mode? Plz tell me what u know about updates, changelogs and how can I use my phone more efficiently. Thanx in advance.

If you are in version b140 than for me you had to go to honor help or hihonor or something like that, Its an app on your phone, there i had to agree to be beta tester and then i got the update. Im not sure if its the same on your device though. You can atleast try it.
Next time you post a post give some more info on your device like what model and all

GR5 (KII device codes) is slower on release for MIUI4.0 & Android 6 .
Would not be too concerned as Marshmallow & Huawei tweaks not offering massive gains and as typical some negatives too .
Would be way better perfecting one version rather than constant bigger platform changes creating buggy updates .

Hi, i also looking for full ota for rne-l21c432, but it seems to wait for months, me i lost animation boot after rooted and back the device , and thanks to the right update founded with huawei firmware finder i relocked the mate 10 lite loosing the root and getting the update from RNE-L21C432120 TO .....130.
What i found as full ota is just for maimang 6 the china version of mate 10 lite, and somebody can advise me if is dangerous to try this full update for my mate 10 lite rne-l21c432?

I managed to start RNE-al00c00b178.
but on my p9 lite vns-l31 kirin 650.
** it starts, in NEO-al00 android 6. because, I do not have oeminfo,
and he reboots alone every 1 minute.

If you want to use custom ROMs, then no, it's totally different phone. It is very similar to Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) though.

Greetings friends, I have an Honor 7S, to be honest the tlf disappoints, nor my Honor 4 was so slow ? !! This phone does not have a way to rotate it? In fact even the governor who manages the operating system is strange ... With a clean system (Android Pure) should be a better mobile, I know it is low-end but it is too slow

X I have the same device, and now I can use Google. Google was gone from this device after from updated to 9xx version. Help please
