hi i try to connect my gear s with my huawei p9 but the problem its not sync , i try conect it by bluetooth and it works but when i download app by store for samsung gear its not connect by the app
because your phone isn't a Samsung nor is it Tizen compatible............................so your watch will not work as intended.

I have a stock Mate 9 Pro. I connect via BT to my car without problems - but trying to connect to my iPad Air at home (in order to use smart screen unlock through BT as Huawei does not support Google Smart Lock), it won't connect.
I can pair the two without any problems - but right after that - I'm unable to connect them.
I tried un-pairing, rebooting etc. both devices with no luck.
Can anyone help?

Hello everyone, first off I've tried using an older phone to pair it and update it and that worked but I still can not pair it to my p20 pro. The only issue I can think of is that I live in the US and my P20 pro is the international version which doesn't have a warranty in the US. But I don't see how that should affect the pairing of my devices. Any input guys?

EDIT: I solved it, I had to download the Xiaomi fit app from the play store and then use that as a route to the amazfit app and finally to connect the watch. Just a reminder for the any others, don't pair the watch on the top right corner, instead go to "me" and "pair a new watch".

I have purchased amazfit gtr 47mm and tried to pair it with my android device (ASUS zenfone max pro m2) running android 9. It tries to connect to it but then try again screen comes up. Then i searched the internet for it and found out that firmware is not supported in 8.1+ android so I connect it with the device running android 6 (Motorola G3) and it connects to it successfully and then I updated the firmware of the watch to the latest version.
Then I unpair the watch from the MOTO device and tried pairing it with mine but it still not able to connect with my device. Them i tried connecting it with the same MOTO device then again it is not able to connect to it.
Please help me connect this watch.

It should pair with yous Asus device no problem. I am using mine with a zuk phone running Android 10 and have no problems pairing.
Make sure to tap on the pairing notification on the watch when trying to pair.
If you can get it paired with one device just download the app on the other device and log in. No need to unpair. Switch off whatever device you don't want to use the watch with and it will work fine with your other device.
By the way if you are going to be using the watch for sports tracking using GPS I'd advise you to send the watch back as soon as possible as the GPS is practically useless on this watch

I have done all the things that you have mentioned already. And i am facing this issue for the third time as I have ordered this watch for the third time. But still finding no luck pairing it with my own device.
I have tried pairing my device with other amazfit watched like Amazfit Bip it connects seamlessly. I am just having the problem pairing GTR with my device.
did you found solution? i have galaxy S9 and in settings of phone its paired but in amazfit app app cannot found/connect to watch
i try unistall and install app restart watch factory reset, restart phone but nothing
on huawei p20 and huawei P smart all works perfect, but on samsung not
Turn on GPS
This may sound silly, but that worked for me.
Turn on the GPS in your phone when trying to pair with GTR.
It worked for me.

Amazfit gtr connection problem
Hi guy, i have amzfit gts and amazfit gtr on the same Amazfit app.
Gts connect alway when i turn on bluetooth while gtr dont connect to smartphone without press gps.
This is the problem.
I have a Mate 20 Pro with EMUI11 beta (11.0.0.118). I also use a cheap Chinese "Airpod-clone" and experienced that Spotify stopped playing after about 10 seconds. Doing Telegram calls was not a problem. Another headset also did not show this issue.
As I always update Huawei system apps via HiSuite (easier than setting the AppGallery to Chinese), I was surprised to see an update called "com.huawei.audioaccessorymanager". It installed and as I noticed "audio" I thought I would give it another try with Spotify and the Chinese Airpods. To my surprise they played without stopping.
Maybe others have the same issue with certain BT headsets, so I am sharing the file here. It is directly downloaded from HiSuite. I am not sure if it will work on EMUI10 or 10.1.
