Google contacts App loading circle - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Community,
I have a serious issue.
All my contacts are stored and synced with Google.
Since the last days on all my devices the Google contacts app keeps showing the loading circle ( screenshot) and did not show any contacts.
Only a restart of device fixes the issues.
First device Samsung tab a10 with rr-rom (Android 8.1)
Second device Sony z2 with carbonrom (Android 8.1)
Does someone has any solution for the problem?
That would be nice.
Thanks' all.

Unexpected shutdowns + Contacts sync problem + other bugs!?

Hi guys,
I'm a newbie on the Android and Samsung world (previously HTC and windows) and I have my SGSII for 2 months now, and it's a great phone but I'm having some annoying problems in some simple things on the daily use.
-Sometimes the phone reboots itself with no apparent problem.
-Have my exchange account working for email, but for the calendar events sometimes it doesn't sync.
-Can't sync my exchange contacts/calendar to google account after joining them in the contacts. In google contacts it doesn't show any contacts and I've tried everything!
-Facebook don't update contacts pictures on the phone automatically , we have to choose the picture one by one in each contact even after they've been merged!!!
-When in hands free or with Bluetooth handset can't switch back to mic sometimes when we need to.
I'm running stock KE2 and can't update to later versions, since my KIES don't show me the updates!
Any suggestions or fixes on how to resolve these problems?
Thanks guys

[Q] How to modify Google Now 'Tablet Search' List

Google Now (on Nexus 7) is not showing 'Next Appointment' card. I've tried several variations of test appointments without success. A friend with the Nexus 7 is having the same issue. My calender is sync'd across all devices (including Nexus 7). Calender notifications are also working across all devices. I suspect the problem is because Google Calender is not showing up in the 'Google Now' Tablet Search list. Not sure if the was the cause or it matters now to fix the problem, but I added Google Calender after setting up Google Now. Weird, Google Calender was not a default installed app. I believe if I can add Google Calender to the Tablet Search list in Google Now, the problem will be resolved.
Not rooted...
Any ideas?
Thanks!

[Solved] [Help] Can't login to Play Service to sync game accounts

Hi there!
I've got a problem with my Google Play Games account in all games that require me to log in with a gaming account.
The problem persists on all custom roms I've tried (LOS16 / 17, Reloaded-CAF 10, etc.)
Here is my current setup:
Xiaomi Pocophone F1 64GB (EU)
Reloaded-CAF 10
open_gapps-arm64-10.0-nano-20191209-BETA
NoGravityKernel 1.1 - DEK200-mod
Magisk 20.1 - Ben's Thermal 5.0
See attached picture. That window is all that pops up. I can close the window by tapping beside it which shows me a list of my accounts. Selecting my account just shows me the empty window again.
So far I've tried 3 different ROMS, with OGapps and BiTGApps. Logging in/out and deleting/recreating my Google account, cleaning caches and tmp files.
The only way to use the Play Service is when using stock MIUI, which is a nogo for me. :silly:
Any ideas whats happening there??
I created a new gmail account which works perfectly fine!?
Well, not a good solution, but a solution. xD
