How can we enable camera2api in miui 10?
No magisk as do not want to root my phone?
Is there any way now??????
Camera 2 api is broken in MIUI 10. You can enable it after rooting but still cant run GCAM.

You can use sgsi on rom section for it. There are poco, mi8 lite or miuipro. It is miui10 and have a working gcam

Did anyone actually tried the new global beta update with gcam? I saw conflicting reports
I updated to miui 10... Camera2api has been enabled. But still none of the 3rd party apps work. All I get is a black screen and touching anything on the screen crashes the app. Really disappointed :/

i have like 4 phones all are with custom rom.... but in this phone i want it to be virgin ???? but it has hal3 enabled it should work i mean the hdr..... i have redmi note 5 pro.... it has 8.1 rr and it works flawlessly i dont want night sight for now..... but hdr should work ..... what i wanted to say

It's still not released for Poco F1.. The rumoured SS were from Mi8 which is quite similar to Poco F1... And that above SS in this post is from Miui.eu not miui.. that's why you can't find it in .28 build of global Dev build. It will be probably be released in next build. ?

You don't understand, with the Mi CC9 Xiaomi launched a total new and best Mi Mojis, and this can't be installed with just the APK like with the first version.

I thought the issue was that the f1's ir face recognition was proprietary, so since the source is unavailable it can't be integrated into custom ROMs. So not a Google problem, but kind of a Xiaomi one (if we have to blame someone!)

Google removed face unlock from android 10 sources. Therefore it's not working in all Q based custom roms.

Yes, because it's a proprietary module. So it's a Xiaomi / Pocophone decision rather than being something Google can fix

Others have confirmed that (IR) face unlock works on Android 10 xiaomi.eu 11.0.4.0. if it's not working you should try to change you're region in settings...

Of course it works in stock roms. Its removed only from custom roms

I think you've misunderstood something here...
IR face unlock works just as well on stock MIUI 11 as it did on stock MIUI 10. It's only with custom ROMs that it doesn't work

I wonder if it might have been an issue with your region, eg I'm in Ireland but have to set my region to UK in order to get face unlock

If face unlock is that important to you then Maybe you can develop something.
I don't know yet how a custom rom is build, but is it possible to get the lines of code from a custom rom based on Android 9 and porting the feature of face unlock as a magisk module?

Yeah I could install it myself but I'm on official miui 13 rom with so many apps installed and configured. I don't wanna flash with all the hassle for a non working anx cam. Wish Gcam had video stabilization.
