tethering without carrier check and no rooting of the phone - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

Is it possible to provide a hotspot without carrier limiting? I use to root phones in past and disable in in system. However, POCO being new I would not want to do it just yet. It is my last option.
So is there a way to do it without a root access?
SO far tried FoxyFi, VPN hotspot with VPN , PDaNet and meny other without success.
Thanks

[Q] Unlock Droid Razr to Net10 network

Okay, I am completely new to this forum, somewhat new to unlocking phones, and have no idea how to do this, after searching all over the net for hours. I apologize in advance for the nonsense I am about to spew into the faces of the readers.
I want to unlock my Droid razr xt912 (original, not HD or M or any of those), which is on Verizon Network (I think there are others for att network and all those), to my net10 network, which gives me all the unlimited data and blah blah.
I was on ICS, I rooted my phone. For some reason I decided to update my phone to JB so I would stop getting the annoying update notification. I assume I've lost my root since I updated. I believe I have to root my phone and all that to unlock it.
(edit) I tried rooting with razr blade and saw access denied to "/something/something" several times during the process. OI opened Titanium backup to see if it was rooted, and it said it didn't have permissions. In superuser, the binary is outdated, I try to update and it fails.
My question is, do I simply need to root my phone after all this madness to proceed into unlocking it? AND, how do I go about unlocking it AFTER I root it again, if it is at all possible?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for this forum vomit. @[email protected]

im not sure if your in usa or not but xt 912 does not work in usa on any other network other then verizon.
if your using it outside usa you dont need to unlock it you just change settings to global and allow roaming although it doesnt charge the settings will let you use data. the phone doesnt need to be unlocked just the settings need to be changed. thats all.
secondly rooting has nothing to do with unlocking. whether you root now or later doesnt matter. you do need to root to play around and install tweaks and custom roms etc
hope this helps. also for xt 912 you can always go to www.droidrzr.com they have excellent support including live chat for xt 912 phone users.

for using any operator simcard :
1. you need unlock jetstream from htcdev.com
2. then root device, for this google it (e.g. how to root jetstream)
3. use any simcard you want !
wait u will see WIFI not working sad!!!
4. for fixing WIFI problem install wifix application (just work on rooted devices)
now u can use simcard and wifi both
I think the peyman_021 meant "How do I perform a SIM unlock?" and not "How do I unlock my bootloader?". In order to perform a SIM unlock (henceforth carrier unlock) on your Jetstream you will need to determine your IMEI and then use a carrier unlocking site.
Find out your IMEI:
On any device with a dialer you can call *#06#. This preferable because it is consistent across all operating systems (i.e. Android, iOS, Blackberry OS, Windows Mobile). Alternatively, you can navigate menus -- usually starting with Settings->About. This number (it does not feature letters) is essentially your cellular radio serial number.
Use Carrier Unlocking Site
There are many sites out there so find something or someone to guide you towards the best ones. As with most things price is often the determining factor.
You will need an online payment mechanism such as a credit card. They can cost as little as $10 USD and as much as $30 USD -- in my experience. They will ask you to enter your IMEI and sometimes your device make/model -- though the latter is redundant.
Once you submit your IMEI and payment then you will need to wait for an unlock code. It can takes minutes, hours and maybe even days for the site to reply -- typically via email. The unlock code is short and entirely numeric.
In order to enter the unlock screen you will have to trigger the enter lock screen dialog. On the Jetstream this is done by inserting a SIM card that is not from the original carrier. Most devices require you to power off to insert a different SIM, but the Jetstream can hot swap. Enter the unlock code and you are done.
Note that on the Jetstream you need to have a lock screen enabled to trigger the enter unlock code dialog. Perplexingly, it is the actual lock screen that triggers the enter unlock code dialog.
You should note that carrier unlocking is permanent, but since it is an improvement that is a good thing.

I don't know what peyman_021 means here, but a clue is that he mentions needing a rooted device. This probably means changes to the /system partition.
Users of the kernel made by DooMLoRD require an updated wifi module. That is the closest thing I can think of to a "wifi fix application".
If you can post a screen capture of your problem then we may have more information to help you with. Download a screen capture app or simply take a picture of your screen and post it here.
You also might want to consider 1) unlocking your bootloader then 2) installing a custom recovery then 3) installing the custom kernel by DooMLoRD. I suspect this will give you a better performing kernel and working wifi.

Mobile Iron Bypass

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone recently has developed a way to bypass the root check for Mobile Iron.
Moreover, I think you cannot bypass Mobileiron protection that avoids unlocking bootloader. It does not allow even pressing several times on 'compilation number' just to show developer options (USB debugging, specifically). It seems not to work even with a factory reset. So, it seems the definitive method to avoid rooting

Is a VPN still needed for Bootloader Unlocking?

If you are not in China is a VPN still needed (or preferred) when trying to unlock the Bootloader? I have received permission to unlock. I'm in North America and have tried about 25 different VPN's and have only one or two that seem to have a possibility to connect to a VPN server in China.
Since I started the process without a VPN I am hoping to complete it without using one as I saw one user say they got locked out of their phone when deleting their Mi account to rebind it from a VPN.
If it fails without a VPN would I need to wait several days again to try with a VPN? I hope to try unlocking today (5-3-2018) as the first try said to wait about 3 days. Any thoughts or suggestions very much appreciated.

Have some questions about the stylo 4 (sprint)

Hi I'd like to thank you at a time for any help I may receive here. Basically I've done some research and under the impression my phone can be rooted . I want to root an essentially network unlock my phone normally I go to somebody from this forms and he doesn't remotely for me. This time he told me that this phone isnt possible. Normally that would be good enough for me but I've seen a lot of evidence of other people being able to root this phone I'm having an issue cuz I don't have windows-based PC with me all I have is a Mac so I cannot run lgup. Is it possible to root this phone with a Mac if I can't is it possible to network unlock my phone with a code. Thank you
