WiFi problem - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Questions & Answers

Maybe a network person can answer this please
I have a hidden wifi network at my work that normally I can just go to add network and then put in password credentials and a connection is made
The Mate pro 20 will not connect to the network
All previous devices will connect fine (nexus, s7 edge, note 8, and even the s9+) .... the only thing also notable is that the s9+ requires the credentials to be re entered each time , it won't auto connect
What's different about the mate??

Could you shed some light on the frequency, encryption algorithm etc
E.g. 5ghz/2.4ghz wpa2/wep 802.a/g/b/n/AC etc

Pretty sure it's 2.4
I use WP2 I think
It's just a single password pvhvend0r

Not there now

[Q] Wifi There was no response from the network error

I recently purchased an unlocked Lumia 800. I am having trouble connecting to my home wifi network, which uses a Netgear WNDR3700 router.
My Lumia detects the network and attempts to connect, but always gives the error: There was no response from the network
The phone is completely up to date, and I have tried all the usual things like restarting the phone, restarting the router, putting the router in another mode such as G instead of N, and trying different wifi channels and security, from open to wpa2. None of these things seem to make any difference. The router does not have any kind of connection limit set, and mac filtering is disabled.
Things to note are that I can successfully connect to friend's wifi networks with the phone, and another WP7 phone owned by another household member, a HTC Mozard has exactly the same problem.
Im not really sure what else to try, maybe someone can suggest some differenr router or phone settings to try?
thanks

[Q] Android 4.1 : Wifi (proxy) connected but not working

Hi All
Yesterday, my dad bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (unlocked). I tried connecting it to our home's wifi router but it's not working after being connected even though we have 2 laptops and an iPhone working perfectly on the wifi. Also, in the Manual Proxy settings, if I enter some address in the Bypass Proxy field, the option to connect to the Wifi network gets disabled i.e. I can't connect to the Wifi if I have entered an address in that field (I would have uploaded a screenshot but I'm still trying to figure out how to take it)
In the forum, I found similar problems on other Android devices but none of their solutions seemed to work.
Thanks in advance

[Q] Wi-Fi stops working sporadically even for known connections

Hello - Have been running XtreStoLite rooted for months now on my SM-G900T. About a week ago all of my known Wi-Fi connections would stop working sporadically. When I take a look at whats going on, my phone says there is authentication issue (password is wrong). It would seem obvious that this is the problem but I know this is not the case when connected to the few Wifi networks I consistently use, because I would have to be the one that would change the Wifi password to connect (I haven't changed it). Also, it may work normally anywhere between a few seconds to a few hours, then bam, out of nowhere I'm disconnected due to authentication problems. Where I'm at now is that there is something wrong with my S5, causing it to send the wrong password credentials. Even if I forget the connection and re-enter credentials it will fail, no other devices have this problem on these Wifi networks. Does anyone have an idea where to start troubleshooting now?

Wifi networks become disabled

I obtained the Z4 tablet as a replacement for my broken Note 10.1. It is running rooted with (now) current 8.260 firmware and AndroPlus v10 (before 7.24 and AndroPlus v2).
Solely with this device, I experience that single wifi networks become disabled. Here at home, I have three hotspots (partly with 2.5 and/or 5 GHz) on different SSIDs.
All SSIDs configured with the correct password, SSID by SSID is disabled for an unknown reason until the device switches to mobile network.
This effect does not happen for my S6 Edge and before One M 8, Note 10.1 or any other Android device (Fire HD Tablet, Tab 8.5).
Same happens if I am anywhere else where I have wifi access, also with my HUWAI mobile access point.
With the app Wifi-Fixer, the SSIDs get reenabled, but while running the app, I experienced regularly that the device became laggy and unresponsiveness until I had to reboot it.
Anybody an idea how to fix this?

S9+ showing "connected to WLAN, no internet"

So, I got my S9+ (international version, DUOS, 256 GB) last week from the Samsung store. I am on stock ROM (and will stay as long as my warranty lasts or someone finds a way to root with Knox 0x0, which I am not expecting).
At home, I have a WLAN Mesh (AVM Fritz!Box 6590 Cable, 2x AVM Fritz! 1750E Repeater on a wired connection), everything working great with any device.
Except my S9+. It connects and everything is fine, at some point - especially when using it for e.g. streaming Netflix or so - it will stay connected to the WLAN but will say "no internet access". Switching WLAN on and off fixes the issue until it happens the next time (minutes to hours later). I have no special settings, no neighbouring networks which would interfere. I have 2,4 and 5 GHz active and automatic channel selection. All other devices in my home work with no problems. I have found similar issues froim users on other Samsung phones (S6/7/8 series (my former S5 on Resurrection Remix Oreo does not show t his behaviour)), but no answers that worked (like forget the network, reboot and reenter credentials).
Quite annoying, anyone knows a fix? Big THANKS in advance.
No one experiencing the same thing or havin any ideas?
I have had the same issue in the beginning with the phone. I have a router with a cisco switch connected to it. The standard router's wifi wasn't sufficient in coverage through my house. I got hold of a cisco AP and connected it to the switch and disabled the wifi on the router. That's when my issue started. Fiddled around trying various options, but the one that worked for me was to tell the phone to forget my network, restart the phone and then "setup" the wifi on the phone again(password for wifi needed to be entered as it sees the network as a new one) Haven't had the issue after that. I did notice at my office that even though the wifi conection is good, that if it goes below a certain percentage, the mobile data will kick in, although I have that option switched off. I also picked up that if your line connection's speed goes very low for whatever reason, the same problem appears again that the phone assumes there is no internet
Thanks, this is what I've read from other threads (with S7, S8), too. But this didn't work for me. My repeaters get ther signal through LAN cable and I have a fast connection, coverage all over my house and garden. I really do not have an idea on what to try...
