Guide me to get my poco f1
I had this problem too. I connected my F1 to two different machines, with various OSs - Windows 7, Windows 10 and linux. I tried different USB ports. Nothing worked. In the end, I had to purchase a OTG from a local computer store. It was a pain, but the OTG has been really useful for storing TWRP backups since.

Uninstalled all USB devices in USBDeview and plugged them back in one by one, then tried the above drivers.
Tried all of the above in Debug, MTP, PTP and just connecting as normal (no dev/Debug mode)
Tried 4 different micro USB cables and every port on my computer.
I'm sure I've tried something else but I must've forgotten. So, should I throw this mother ***** at the wall and exchange it for a different 32gb? Or try 32-bit windows 7?
I tried to use Windows XP but my PC freaked the hell out and blue screened on setup. Either the disc is bad for no good reason or the setup didn't like my 8gb of DDR3.
Please help, I'm not the average dumbass who plugs in the tablet, doesn't work, then just hops right on the forums to ask without doing extensive research.
And now I realize this belongs in the Nexus 7 Q&A, filthy noob that I am.

Media Feature Pack for Windows 7 N with Service Pack 1 and Windows 7 KN with Service Pack 1 (KB968211)
Google search that and download it from Microsoft's website along with Windows Media Player 11.
This made it work, now I am able to transfer files in USB Debug mode and My Computer recognizes it.
I am having a problem plugging my Note2 into multiple PCs - USB2 and USB3 ports both tried, multiple pcs and laptops tried.
All running Windows 7 (Pro or Enterprise). The N2 is bone stock, no root yet.
It makes the sound like it sees the USB, but fails installing all of the drivers, and never brings up the window to explore the SD contents.
I have tried multiple drivers - the S3 driver that some said would be no issue does not work. Different carrier versions do not work.
Last I checked, there was no verizon version driver available.
Here is my process.
I plug it in.
It says Connected as Installer
I pull the window down, choose MTP.
It tries to install different drivers
Never completes in Windows, says failed.
I have tried with debugging checked and without.
I have tried aftermarket cables (namebrand and off-brand) as well as OEM cables from the S2, S3 and Note2.
I've removed hidden USB devices and plugged it into multiple different USB ports to try and get it to work.
Any ideas guys? Are you guys plugging your Note 2's in and are able to browse the internal storage no prob through windows ? If so, how?
nothing?
Simmilar USB connecting issues
My Note 2 does connect as a MTP media device with "directories" Card & Phone, via win7
But I want to connect the sd card as a standard usb mappable drive just like every other phone I ever had.
It seem Android used to allow this but now may not. Or I haven't found the magic setting.
I had a similar issue after I flashed the rooted image, I had to disable USB debugging in developer options, restart the phone and laptop to get it to connect as MTP
Hi.
LeEco 2 Max (4/32).
ROM: ResurrectionRemix-MM6.0.1TeaMSpaiN-LeMax2
Rooted.
USB connecting is working (works transferring photos [PTP], works battery loading).
But I can't add other files (music etc.) from computer to LeEco.
I checked on other laptop: works fine. So problem is in my laptop (Asus), maybe with drivers.
What should I install to fix it?
"AdbDriverInstaller" doesn't see the device also (in every mode).
Do You have any ideas?
It isn't important problem, you don't need to fix it.
Not important for You, important for me. That is why I am reading about this, right? Not for fun.
Problem is important: I can't copy music or audiobooks on device.
If You can't or don't want to help, don't help. Easy.
Did you already solve the problems? there should be an option to update the Android drivers by plugging the device several times in. That's at lest how I've installed my Le Max 2 for the mtp process. After those drivers have been installed automatically, my laptop recognized the phone withoit a problem
No, I didn't.
You're right it should be automatically (like on my other machine).
But here I have problem. On Huawei Ascend P6 I knew I should install HiSuite and for few hours everything will be OK.
But not here.
Maybe do You know something like HiSuite for Huawei but for LeEco?
I don't know if it would help, but when you connect the phone to the laptop, go to device manager and uninstall the driver found for the device, then unplug and plug again. The driver should come automatically, at least in theory, and hopefully the good one.
I need to say that I've had an issue similar to your long time ago and it was due to windows. After reinstalling windows again, the problem was solved. I know now nobody does this, but at that time, this is what helped.

The same thing is happening to me...
I plug the mobile to a pc (windows 10, windows 7 and kali linux) by usb and it's only capable of charging; neither MTP, nor ADB, nor OTG...
Heyyo @zaroc, is that with TWRP or a ROM? Please provide which versions they are
.
Well friends the problem is this
My android version is 6.0 and the system version is 24.81.3_titan and I'm trying to do a bootloader to get root access on the device.
> I can't connect it by the USB cable on my windows 7 to transfer files using mtp, I already tried on the linux system deepin and also it is not possible.
>I tested on all computer ports, three different types of usb cable and on two different computers and they didn't recognize the cell phone. it only charges the battery.
>I tested another cell phone, moto max, with the same usb cables and it worked correctly.
I think it may be the version of the system or android that are causing these problems, but I can't do a downgrade because I can't connect it to a computer.
Hello. I'm a happy (?!) user of Win 10 Pro x64 since few days.
I want to connect my RN4X Snapdragon to PC, using usb on my pc's motherboard.
However, despite setting option, that I'll listed below, my phone is still not recognisable as useful stuff.
Without changing anything on my phone since my last flashing topics (Feb and March this year), I was fully able to connect easily to pc with win7 x64. I also was able to connect (using Xiaomi's cable, cheap replacement does not seem to work) phone to win 8.1 x64, where only the basic adb fastboot were installed. But, I cannot do the same on newest Windows.
I've done:
1. Installing minimal adb and fastboot 1.4.3. for all users (I'm the only one account here, but not sure if that's matter)
2. Having programming option enabled, usb debugging enabled and all that good stuff.
3. All four elements on that list - https://************/how-to-fix-mtp-devices-not-connecting-on-windows-10/
4. I've tried to install it as adb interface, installing it manually, installing it by using *.cat files from xiaomi_usb_driver archive, that contain that kind of stuff for newer windowses (it's from this side, if I remember it right - https://www.xiaomiusbdrivers.com/2018/02/download-xiaomi-usb-driver-2018-for_4.html)
5. Almost all stuf from here - https://www.jihosoft.com/android-tips/windows-10-cannot-recognize-android.html. Because I do not have Samsung, Odin mode is not an issue
6. I've tried to install my Redmi 4X as MTP device. However, my phone during each connection to PC started himself in charging mode (I can change it). Even changing it doesn't changing anything, though.
7. Editing the bulid.prop, adding there few lines describing how the phone should behave. I've saved it, but my original version of bulid.prop does not have anything in there about types of connection. I don't remember it word by word, but I've could check in history if anyone will find it interesting.
Drivers for usb 3.1 are pre-installed with mine version of win10 (I cannot install drivers given on my motherboard's dvd attached, system says that I'm currently having them).
When I try to install it manually via device manager, on the first time it says, that is other device, identifed briefly as MTP. However, installing it either as Android ADB interface, fastboot interface or third option does not give me anything. What's worse, even when I've pick windows/INF as my source of drivers for this device, it does not list on "lemme pick ddevice type" MTP type devices. I'm using win 10 in polish, so it might be that I'm blind or does NOT understand translate.
What else could I do? I can of course use wife's laptop with 8.1, usb sticks or other stuff, but I would like to have it sorted out.
Does otg still works to your device?

Not sure. How to check it? We use to have 16GB OTG to USB2.0 (other end was micro usb B), but we must have put it somewhere during moving out to new flat, cause I cannot find it now.
gonna bump it, cause there's not any clue yet.
Same here.
