I am interested to hear if anyone has received Pie.
I am on Stock 8.0.0.169. EMUI 8.0.0 Android 8.0.0. I have not received any new updates since.
According to Firmware Finder it's BKL-L09C636E3R1P8B108-log Pie (9.0.0.18)
Firmware Finder also lists;
BKL-L09C636B172 (8.0.0.172) 2018.10.12
BKL-L09C636B173 (8.0.0.173) 2018.11.06
I'm on c675

Mine went blank yesterday.
Usually when it does that I receive an official update within a week.

Just received update to BKL-L09 8.0.0.172(C636) around 3 days ago. I am from Malaysia. The way it's going I don't expect us to receive any major update at least until next year.
this update is causing me major problems with the camera stability, especially on Instagram and Snapchat, detail comes out blury, especially of text, and even facea, also the photo moves on after the shutter which is very annoying , anyone else having these problems?

Same for Malaysia. I got it 10mins ago. I checked firmware finder next one likely be Pie so I am mistaken we might actually get it next month.
pie has been officially released, we should be getting it soon, prob in early January guys

It's official and its not ota. I believe its in hicare app before appearing in system I think. Check the other topic. Honestly I think it might drain battery a bit faster I am not sure. I did do factory reset before using. Also so called Adaptive Battery feature in Pie seems to be missing.
still bot recieved the update, very annoyed, I'm looking in to firmware finder apparently the updated app has a erecovery option to update, thr dns and vpn method does not work, does anyone have any experience with the erecovery option, as im new to the honor brand can someone please point me to the right direction for a tutorial? thanks

I am also in France - was on 7.0 - and I just checked and I have the FOTA ... currently downloading ......
FYI - files size for this upgrade from 7.0 is 'only' 446 MB

Well one week that I had beta 7.1.1 was general pleased with the smoothness and stability I would say performed better that official 7.
But I was hoping further polishing and optimized newer build for the final released from ZTE why not even RAW support.
I remember ZTE Locker didn't worked at me with 7.1.1 also some translation issues still occurred
ZTE had almost o month and at the end what they do is delivered a beta a month ego as final official version.
Mixed feelings.

Updating from 7.0 - first attempt: boot to recovery, reboot and still 7.0... Second attempt: phone turns off, doesn't reboot. After manual starting, two reboots and finally - it works! Polish localization still sucks...

Well software is still half in English, half my native language. This is ridiculous. Well i didn't have this icon previously and i cant recognise its meaning.. there wasn't any sign of lack of 2nd sim before so why display it now? Jesus this company is ****.. releasing bugged and unfinished betas.. again half polish half English i guess only English and German are fully translated..
And update brings broken Google play store.. you need to uninstall updates..

So just to clarify, has anyone in the uk gotten the Oreo update without partaking in the beta?

The update is ready on the servers. They will probably have a really slow rollout to start with.
Not every Honor 9 user is using XDA forums you know
No OTA in Germany yet.
BTW: I was not an unpaid beta-tester.
No OTA update in France too :/
New builds are on firmware finder today, and it looks like the final ota will be due soon
I am from Spain and did receive the update a few days ago but other Spaniards have not received it yet.
Maybe it's because I was on the Beta program.

Flashed on L09 on top of my abc build (using THIS guide, then reboot in fastboot when it finishes the installation process, flash twrp, wipe system/caches, flash custom rom and gapps again). Everything fine here and no data/config loss.

I did that earlier today. Made a back up, downloaded, flashed, did a factory reset and finally restored my data. Everything seems to be fine so far, some additional bloatware which I already uninstalled, security update from 05/5/2018 and another useless camera mode instead of EIS...

Hello, I update to the 160 and now when I listening the podcast when screen go off the podcast stop. This made me crazy, I search to the settings of the podcast and found nothing, also setting of the phone, battery etc ans I don't fond nothing. I don't install any other applications like greenify..

Yep with BubbleUpnp (and other casting apps)... I tried Ignore battery optimization and manual launch but to no avail... I have also tried factory reset. The only workaround I have is to leave the screen on...

I have checked the B141 and the B160 and both of them are available and approved in FF for mine, but I'm still on B140 and the "System update" says there aren't updates available. I bought mine in the UK and using it here as well... At least the B141 should be available already, right?

Don't be daft - my Honor 9 has had quite a few updates in the last year, and so has my MediaPad M5. I'm certainly happier than I was on my previous handset manufacturer, which was Motorola.

Sorry if you felt I'd insulted you. I personally don't feel saying your comment is daft is an insult. More that is was a silly or daft comment.
Huawei historically were bad at doing updates, but nowadays they are certainly better than a lot of other companies. As I said I think I've had at least half a dozen updates in 12 months for my Honor 9, and probably as many for my Mediapad, which I've had for several months now. Even if they are mainly applying Google's security patches.

Several people in the Honor 9 forum of mobilarena.hu are reporting that their devices are receiving the EMUI 9 update now. My brotger's device has received the update too, mine hasn't yet.
This seems to be a massive rollout.

My wife got the Update yesterday. Since then it is stuck in update process. After Update the Phone reports it ran into serious Problems, there are only two options: factory Reset or install Update again. But install again does not resolve the Problem. There are more people with this Problem:

I had the problem some days ago when I tried to update my honor 9 tu emui 9 official OTA but it went in erecovery bootloop and I dunno if it is possible to recover all data before wipe because i need them.

Also got the patch (2.4MB) to version QP1A.190711.020.C3. Seems like they patched something serious otherwise they'd probably postponed it till the October update which only a few days to go.
Coming from Beta6, then A10, I didn't see any changes so far ( e.g. had 4G/4G+ instead LTE already displayed before the patch like some folks mentioned).
yeah I got this update on vodafone/uk saying I can upgrade to the new android 10, but I was confused as I thought I already had android 10 installed. anyway, installed a massive update and can't see anything different. Definately wasn't on any beta scheme. very odd.
and now for some reason, my windows 10 doesn't "see" my pixel, pixel can't see pc anymore. :-/
My battery life seems to have improved quite drastically.
I also noticed my phone just 'feels' more responsive and snappier. Could it be the new kernel? Well, maybe, but I guess could also be a placebo!
My phone is still on the last version of Pie (August) as the earlier September Android 10 update would just cause my phone to bootloop. I tried flashing the factory image (flash-all.bat with "-W" removed) and also adb sideloading the OTA with both the .19 and .20 versions, both give the error "no valid slot to boot" in fastboot mode after failing.
Tried to use the new .20.C3 firmware by flashing factory image (again without wiping the phone) and tried adb sideload OTA... again caused me to bootloop. I'm not sure if there's a way around this without a factory reset...
I'm on Verizon Pixel 3. So far, I have noticed fingerprint sensor seems to be more responsive. My last couple speed test at home with satellite internet have been very good but maybe it's just a fluke. Radio strength doesn't seem better, but haven't had much chance to see strength and band hand off while traveling Eastern Tennessee. I do know that Verizon grossly exaggerates their coverage map looking at their claim using putting in your location per their website.
Battery feels better and the keyboard seems much more fluid. In fact I'm seeing better frame rate on lots of the heavier animations.
I flashed the Android 10 .019 file at the beginning of the month, no issues, I'm on Google Fi. Since I'm on version .019 I'm wondering if I should flash the 020.C3 update or just wait until the October update...
Has anybody out there on Fi Network flashed the new .020.C3 file?

I'm on Fi and although I didn't flash the update, I woke up to the new update. I don't seem to see anything different. We'll see.
Full big 1.3 GB on top of my Sep 1 Android 10 update. T-mobile in the U.S. Phone re-booting now...
