When a developer who wishes to help recieves the kernel sources so that he/she can build the device tree.
Here the sources!

It has the chipset, so I think these should work.

I'd rather have have a Cyanogenmodish ROM.
Adding a swap file would also be great.
Here *are* the sources.
Hi Gurus,
I recently installed (an unofficial version of) Resurrection Remix on my Blu Life 8XL. But the StageFright detector claims that the phone is still vulnerable. Since the developer who ported RR to 8XL have not provided any updates, is it possible for me to apply a patch to the stagefright security vulneribility, either from the OS itself (in some form of APK), or from within TWRP?
Thanks.
I also have a blu life 8 xl.... can you send me the link to the rom... i wanna try it

You can find the ROMs, Recoveries and a support group (FWIW) here. Personally I found CM13 most stable, but even that had some nagging issues.
Thanks!!!! I found the same community yesterday lol
Currently running their bliss m latest update (2nd) for my blu life 8 xl L290U........I'm never going back to any other lol
Will gravitybox work in our rn3 pro[miui 8]??
No brother

Not on stock ROM
Just few options work. Best module for MIUI is xMiui, but it's not free.
How
Have you installed Xposed installer on your Redmi Note 3 ?
I wanna try some os other than the stock miui rom
I didn't see any third party ROM for mi 8 explore edition up to date.
Seems developers are not interested and no financial support is available.
I don't consider EU rom https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/9-1-24-26.48919/ is third party ROM
Just LineageOS whithout fingerprint https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-8-pro/how-to/lineageos-16-build-mi-8-pro-equuleus-t3896251
Tried LineageOS for one day, No fingerprint No Face ID

I am coming from the last 9.0 test build. After flashing the new weekly, I am stuck in a forever running Omni bootanim.
I am very pleased that it continues now with official 9, thanks for the work and invested time. :good::highfive:

weeklies are signed, the beta builds were homemade and hence not signed. that's why you can't move between the two without a wipe.
Clean install first official weekly. Everything seems OK for now! Thanks a lot.
I have do clean installation, system run pretty smooth than last nightly build, fingerprint fast to set up also very accurate and some new minor features added in this official weekly build.but one thing doesn't works, the battery watt and current value on lockscreens show 0

Flashing this ZIP should be enough to enable dual SIM support. At least it worked on the other custom ROMs made for Xperia X single SIM variant that I tried...
