I bought a S9+ online from someone on facebook but when i put in my sim card in it would work for like an hour before it my sim get network blocked saysing "sorry, this phone is blocked from your netowork." and the sim card is still blocked when i put it back in my old phone, will rooting my device fix this problem? or how do i fix this problem?
Maybe unregistered imei..
Call the carrier and request support on the issue. If it is the sim card they can fix it.
If it's not the sim card and it's the phone causing it then the phone is probably blacklisted. The carrier can tell you if this is the case. If they do say the phone is blacklisted then you cant fix it, the IMEI is blocked on the network.

sarcasim is a good thing but maybe you aren't comprehending what i am saying duhh!!
i own NSPRO box and have unlocked the galaxy S phones quite frequently, the phone is sim unlocked for any sim card or gsm carrier, what i am saying has nothing to do with unlocking with the sim card in( which i tried for ****s and giggles). the problem is the vibrant is not recognized on the network , i have tried my sim and several other t-mobile sims the phone doedn't receive signal on t-mobile network or simple mobile( which is a NVO of t-mobile)so what i am asking is does t-mobile block imei's from their network and is their a solution other then changing imei of the phone which i do not wish to do although i can change imei i will not since it is illegal.
the problem
let me clarify it actually says on the screen
"not registered on network"
anyway to register it on system???
its unlocked and works on at&t, h2o and all other gsm carriers except t-mobile and simple mobile
clone another imei, that will solve this problem, There is an app that allows you to give you a new I D # to your phone
I am same problem here everytime try to make call it says "Not Registered on the Network", SIM card works fine on different phone, also other SIM when inserted on Vibrant gives same message.
Under Settings> Wireless> Mobile network settings does not allow access...
Can someone help resolve this situation.
Thanks,
I am also
having the same problem. I purchased a used Vibrant from my friend whom defaulted on his bill so he sold his phone to me. When I attempt to use the T Mobile prepaid SIM or a regular T Mobile SIM it will not allow me to connect to the network. It stays on (Searching) or (No Service) but the date and time updates so I know it is connecting, just not able to use the network. Is there anyway to get around this problem or do I need to root and unlock to go to another carrier?
Hi guys I am having similar issue, please help
I was using bionix 1.3.1 by team whiskey, whats your advice do I change to ICS, will that solve the problem or simple radio upgrade will solve the matter? I have gone through several sites and found that this problem is with many android mobiles since last 2-3 years. Is there no solution to this yet! I have tried Airplane mode, removing battery, downloading autocut and all those basic methods but to no help ...
I have the same problem, did anybody find a solution?
I tried everything, flashed to stock, GB, ICS, JB.
My phone is unlocked and it only works on AT&T, the sim card is good, as I'm using it on my backup phone.

Same here. This all happened when I let my friend borrow my phone to put his SIM on it. It was a prepaid Simple Mobile SIM. It didn't work but after I went to put my SIM card back into my Vibrant, the phone never got service.
Funny thing is, my SIM works on one of my older phones, so I know the SIM still works, but my Vibe gets messages like "out of service" and "not registered on network" even through it still has some bars.
I think the problems relates to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37703090#post37703090
Somehow the bands on your device is messed up so you never get a signal. Not sure how to fix it but any solutions would be great.
I purchased the Samsung Galaxy S2 from someone and after a month the Sim card did not work, tried other sim card same and I have a feeling that the IMEI is Blocked and I would like to see how if anyone can. Unblock IMEI/ SIM
Cheers
You can't. There's almost always (99.99% of the time) a good reason for a phone being IMEI blocked. Call your carrier & sort it out with them.
Theres a thread about a bird getting a phone back from the police and someone got a barred imei working on vodafone.
The title was "..........came alive".So search for that.
Recently purchased a G925v with a broken charge port. After repair I noticed that it had a SimpleMobile SIM inserted which in fact still worked for calls+text, cool still works. So I try inserting my Metropcs SIM which I have been using with my G900v for over a year and am receiving (NO SERVICE). So i went to the Metro store and the clerk proceeds to check the IMEI which returns clean as in fact the verizon service was properly disconnected. From here he says ok we set you up and starts typing, 2-3 minutes pass and I hear "Oh!" It seems this IMEI is connected to another metropcs account.
At this point I'm confused, how did the phones IMEI have anything to do with the SIM card showing no service ?
And since I know the phone is factory unlocked and also working with a SimpleMobile SIM why is my Metropcs SIM not working ?
Hello. Unfortunately, I have some unpaid bills for my HTC device that I bought from my carrier, and we're bound by contract, so they locked my sim card, and now I can't call and recieve calls. If I root my phone, can I remove this blockade, so that I can use other SIM cards from other carriers? I assume there's some hidden software that allows them to block my phone from networks?
as i understand they block you number not the device.
if you have try other sim cards and they don't work what i can think is that they block the device with the IMEI but this happen after request of client if the phone get stolen.
if they do that to you and block the IMEI dude change country
but for sure the block the sim card. so pay the bills to use that number again
It's actually deviced blocked from using any sim cards, and after unpaid bills they blocked the sim card aswell. And as I understand, there's probably some software inside a phone that is not visible, or as you said IMEI is blocked, can that be unblocked by rooting the phone? Yeah, well, I will not pay them bills for now, I'm just trying a way to remove this blockade so I can use another sim card and have network.

thats why i asked you if you have already tried another sim card. if others sim cards works then they block only the sim card, which is more common thing they do. if they block the imei which isnt software is a unick id for this device , then rooting the phone can help to change the imei with imei of another old device you have but this is very tricky if you dont know how to do it.
Yes, I have tried another sim card... and when you buy a phone with a contract through a carrier, it lasts 2 years, and in those 2 years you can't use another sim card, just the one from their network. So, yeah, they blocked IMEI then. Now I just wish I knew how to root the device and change the imei. You know any good guides for it?
edit: There is some online service specially for HTC phones unlock, they said they can remove this blockade with the code they send me. But I'm afraid to not waste money if the code won't remove it. Because they told me they're making official network unlock on HTC server, not on my local server, so official factory permanent unlock.
I don't trust those services. as for root here at xda there are programs to root your phone instead of change rom. as kingroot. also at YouTube are videos how to change imei. I haven't try them. so be carefull when you do that.
I have checked if my IMEI is blacklisted, and it's not, it's clean... so only SIM card of my carrier is locked then. Because when I insert SIM card it says "SIM card is locked", and when I insert SIM card from another carrier it says "Network is locked".
I think is easier to unlock the network. but again I don't know how. never happend to me and I answer you after my research. practical I haven't try any of methods that are around the internet.
Hi, I have a galaxy s9+ 965F and I was running a T-Mobile sim, the phone was working fine for about a week now all of a sudden when I boot the phone up it's saying invalid Sim please enter code PUK. I've called T-Mobile and they gave me the PUK but it doesn't accept it, I've called samsung and they send me right back to TMobile.

Try seeing if the sim card isn't seated correctly. You can do this easily... Power off the phone, remove the sim card tray and making sure it's in the tray correctly. Then reinsert the sim card try and power on the phone.
If that doesn't help then for what ever reason the phone became sim locked, so you need to contact the carrier whom the phone came from and ask them for the code.
T-Mobile won't be able to give you that code unless the phone came from them. I would be careful not to enter the incorrect PUK code in to many times in case it ends doing some sort of hard lock or disables the sim card.
