Hi,
I have an Ilike U5 (I think it should be an Alcatel U5?), with MT6580 hardware.
I want to root this one, and i can't.
Unlocked the bootloader at first (with adb,fastboot), then there was no way to root.
/cmd fastboot getvar all -> it says bootloader unlocked.
BUT! I downloaded a My Device app (v1.7) and at the Device menu the 'Boot Loader' is 'unknown'. (?) /
I tried Kingoroot, iRoot, and a lot of way from android to PC.
"It's too solid to root"
Is there chinese mobiles that can not be rooted?
Does anyone know a solution?
Thanks,
dosakos

Hello everyone,
I have infinix hot 3 LTE (x553), and I want to install custom recovery in it but the problem is that the bootloader is locked.
I tried all the methods existing in the web but no good result. Now I'm wondering if someone have installed twrp in this phone.
Please I need your help!
Some tutorials that I followed:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/x553-recowvery-unlock-root-infinix-hot-t3530122
https://www.google.com/amp/s/forum....d/general/recovery-twrp-3-0-2-0-t3534095/amp/
But always when I checked if the bootloader is unlocked it gives me in adb (unlocked : false)
Phone info:
Model X553
Android 5.1.1
Cpu: Qualcomm Snapdragon 615(and not MTK like X554)
Rooted with Kingroot.
If you want additional informations, I'm always here.
Thanks.
Hi.
I have a Doogee X6 S.
It is currently flashed with stock ROM¹, which runs Android 6.0 with a 3.4.5 kernel and contains OEM adware, and maybe worse.
I'd like to be able to flash a more trustworthy rom of android.
I was unable to root the device with kingoroot app. The bootloader is locked, I can't flash TWRP.
I tried to unlock the bootloader:
- I unlocked and enabled developer options,
- I checked the "oem unlocking" option ("allow the bootloader to be unlocked"),
- "adb reboot bootloader" rebooted the phone in fastboot mode
- "fastboot oem unlock" asked me confirmation for unlock, VOL_UP for "Yes", VOL_DWN for "No", but none of the keys have any effect when pressed.
I tried flashing older versions of the stock ROM with SP Flash Tool, but this resulted in a softbick (solved by flashing back last stock ROM).
I tried contacting Doogee support, to no avail.
I don't know what to try next, so here I am!
While I'm not an Android hacker, I know my Linux, and I'm not affraid of complex solutions.

Since I didn't get any answer here in one week, I opened a thread on the official support forum :

If I get a solution there, I'll relay it here.
Is there a way to unlock the bootloader on a rooted smartphone ?
I found information about the Huawei.
There, the unlock code "16 digit character" is in the file mmcblk0p7.
File path...
HiSilicon -> /dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/nvme
For MTK -> /dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/by-name/boot
For my smartphone, I could not find something like that.
Maybe someone has ideas about the Unlock Code.
Can it be in open form in block folders, if so how to find it ?
Or maybe there is another way to unlock the bootloader if there is root access on the phone ?
Thanks

Hello,
I've been trying to Root my Samsung C7 SM-C7000 phone but I keep getting the error that my phone is factory locked.
Is there a way to overcome this or unlock the phone?
I have read some threads about Enabling OEM Unlock in Developer Options, unfortunately this OEM Unlock is not available in my Developer Options menu no matter how much I tried getting it available by resetting dates.. etc.
Can anyone please help?
Can anyone help regarding this matter please??
Help Please!

@KHAWaNAWA
If option OEM unlock isn't offered in Developer options then phone's boot-loader can't get unlocked: Live with it.
Is it confirmed that OEM unlocking cannot be turned on on my device?
It's Samsung Galaxy C7 SM-C7000
Only to have said it: To root device's Android ( Android 6.0.1 ? ) it's not a prerequisite that phone's boot-loader got unlocked before.
The software on it is Android 8.0.0
I have tried to Root it and it said Factory locked.

You probably did it the wrong way.
Well in the download mode it shows me "Installation Failure" and under it
"You need to unlock your device to install a custom OS"
"For more information how to unlock visit samsung.com/cn"
I have even tried Rooting by going through recovery mode then selecting Reboot into Boot-loader, Same error.
@KHAWaNAWA
Look inside here.
Tried that too, same error still, phone is locked.
