Recommended non OnePlus wall chargers and cables - OnePlus 6T Accessories

I've been using Anker products without problems with my Samsung phones, and I'm wondering if they, or another brand, are recommended for use with OnePlus phones. Any feedback is welcome.

my spare/extra charger is my axon 7 (sd820 ver of qc) charger and an anker cable. their cables are great. also, they have a two year warranty iirc. ive been happy with all 5 various cables i have bought from them.

Any charger will work but not as Fast like OnePlus. I have 1 charger, 2 cables (1 is plug in charger, 1 in my laptop). I buy from China big stores (cheeper)& from my country forums for sales (fast receive).

iMangoo OnePlus 6T Dash Charging Charger US Plug
The iMangoo OnePlus 6T Dash Charging Charger US Plug gets 2700-3000 / 3400 mA at half the price of the official dash charger and cable. The cable is braided and folds easily. I rather have 2 of these ($18.19 per) for the same price as the official with a loss of 400-700 mA when below 70% full.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DZLM1FC
The AmazonBasics USB Type-C to USB-A Male 3.1 Gen2 Adapter Charger Cable using the iMangoo charger gets the same speed. This cable is not as flexible, but works great at a permanent computer desk for fast file transfer. $7 open boxed.

Scosche Dual 2.4A car charger

I just wanted to let people know that Scosche just released a new dual 2.4A car charger. This is not a car charger that splits 2.4A between two ports, but one that has full 2.4A per port. You can charge tablets and phones at the same time. What I love about this charger, is that it sits flush in the car. No stick protruding out.
I used to have their older model, the 2.1A dual car charger USBC202M. I purchased it in May. When I saw that they had this one available on their site, I asked a representative through chat if I could exchange my USBC202M for the USBC242M one. He said sure and gave me the info on how to do the exchange. I only paid the shipping to them and got a brand new item. I did not send the original box or anything. Great customer service!
I will try this later on. I have a dedicated USB charge only cable so I will not run into any of the charging issues that some people might have using a data/charge cable.
The USBC202M and USBC242M are listed as the same price on SCOSCHE's website. The USBC242M is not up on Amazon yet, which is where I purchased the original charger.
Link to USBC242M: http://www.scosche.com/chargers/ipad-usb-car-charger-two-port
Link to the charge only cable I am using (nice 5ft): http://www.amazon.com/Specialised-M...=UTF8&qid=1385138950&sr=8-1&keywords=portapow . I like how it is a little thinner than the Mediabridge 6ft one that everyone seems to be using. And the connections are a little less bulkier as well so I am able to connect with my phone that is using a Spigen Slim Armor.
Pics up soon.

It's like any other USB cable, you just plug it in to a USB port. It allows AC charging regardless if you plug it into an AC adapter or a USB port on your PC. This will not allow any data when used in a PC.

Just look at your Note 3's USB 3.0 port on the phone. See that one slot is bigger. Thats where you plug the USB 2.0 cable into. It will work just fine.
USBC202M
That same model number is on Amazon. it lists it differently though..
Dual 10 WATT (2.1A) USB Ports
http://www.amazon.com/Scosche-USBC202M-Charger-works-iPhone/dp/B0077PM3KG
It is only $16 which is a lot less than $24
UPDATE
I see the difference. The packaging you have a picture of has that Model number listed as USBC242M not USBC202M
The lesser should be more than adequate for the Note 3 as it exceeds the 1.8A it will really use at the most.

Yeah. I had the original USBC202M that you see on Amazon. I paid that back in May. I contacted Scosche through chat on their website (took about 30 min before someone was even available) and asked if I could just swap it with the newer model since they were selling it for the same price. He just needed the receipt (which showed my cost of $16) when I send my original one. It was done as a warranty exchange since it was within a year.
I know 2.4A is more than enough but this is great if you also wanted to charge a tablet as well. Or if people were running kernels that allowed more than 1.8A charging.
Here's a much cheaper Anker dual 2.4A that I was looking at but hate how large it is. The price is soooo nice too. $11.99

Anker makes quality products. The price is great but I was really looking for a flush look when installed in my car. Most of my interior is black and this is a bright pearl white. Is there an advantage of a stick design as opposed to a flush?

Yes, looks aside the compact version is going to run much hotter if both outlets are used at capacity.

Yeah I had totally missed that until I saw this thread. After posting the question I looked at the port and saw that it is a two in one port. Just the other day I was bummed that I forgot the N3 charging cable at home. I spent all day reserving battery when I had my S4 cable in my bag the whole time. Doh!
I am getting one of these. So basically this is overkill right? Since 1.8a is max? Does the charge only cable benefit more in any way than a charge/data cable or are the charging amps the same?
Update.
I ended up getting the less amp USBC202M via Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0077PM3KG and ordered two Charging MicroUSB cables also from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009W34X1I
The cables are designed for full charge (just like being plugged into an AC charger) but in the car. I can charge my Note 3 and Tablet both with 1800mA each. The cables are straight 6FT heavy cables which are hard to break, and give you lots of room to use the phone or tablet while it is plugged in.
Just like having AC power in the car/truck with fast charge times
The difference between wall charging and usb charging, is that the wall charger ties the two usb data pins together. Phones detect that and charge slower on usb to protect computer ports from high current drain. Good car chargers solder together the two data pins to cheat the phone into thinking that is connected into a wall charger and thus charge the fastest possible.
You could find usb cables that internally connect the data pins, however that cable won't allow you to send data.
This applies to most usb charged devices, like android, iphone, ipad, etc.

I found my dual micro high current car charger on boxwave. It was cheap, and works great. No problems at all. The phone shouldnt pull more power then it needs. If so id check with tech services.

Don't worry. If the charger is required more power than is able to provIde it will just cut to the top.
Output of that plug states 10v 12w
Official note 3 charger is 5.3v 2amp I cant see how this could be good for your phone/battery.

Where does it say 10v?
Anyway, I've finally bought the Anker 24W, which is compatible with the Galaxy S5, so there are much higher probability to be compatible with newer devices like Galaxy Tab S, Galaxy note 4, etc.

Obviously this is a mistake, it's referring to input voltage.
12V USB Adapter
Input Voltage: 10-16V
USB Output Voltage: 5VDC, Dual 12 Watt (2.4A)
http://www.scosche.com/chargers/ipad-usb-car-charger-two-port
Note that some car chargers allow 12-24V because you can use also trucks and vans for charging. Doesn't seem the case for Scosche.

I wouldn't say everyone. I for instance did not freak out.

Personally tested this charger does not back charge my car when off like some of the tested/ recommended car chargers have been found to do, including Belkin, tronsmart and visnic.
I bought one of these Aukey units but haven't tried with Ampere. <Tested: it delivers 2000ma from both ports to the pixel. Stock wall charger delivers 3000ma.> I've used it with the Pixel, Nexus 5X, LG G4 and Droid Maxx. All of them charge fast. Even the MAXX which isn't a Quickcharge phone charges quite quickly. It has a Fast charge port and a Quickcharge 3.0 port that is backward compatible. All these phones have roughly 3Ah batteries. The Pixel and 5X are type C. The G4 has Quickcharge 2.0 hardware but I don't know if the firmware was ever updated to accept more than Quickcharge 1.0.
https://www.amazon.com/Aukey-CC-T7-...838012&sr=8-2&keywords=aukey+quick+charge+3.0
Anyway, seems quality and beats all the typical 250ma car chargers that can't even keep up with google maps usage.
bump still working great and still on sale $5 shipped.

Wow this cable is fantastic. I was't expecting this kind of quality, the cable is thick and the connectors hefty. Transfer of data speed is much faster than my oem cable. Charging may be pseudo, but my pixel reported rapidly charging as soon as I plugged it in, with other cables it would eventually say that just before the screen would timeout. It may be overkill for my Google Pixel XL but well worth it.

I own the Anker C to micro you linked. They work well and were checked by Benson. He says they are good (spec-wise). IMO: great option for those with too many micro and not enough USB C cables.

I use the ChoeTech 6 pack cables as well as the USB-IF certified one from them, which was tested by Benson and said it is "good". I use mine with the stock OEM charger.
A cable wouldn't cause it to burn up over night, a cable would fail instantly. What charger were you using?

Good USB C cables

Can anyone recommend some good USB C charging / sync cables please.
Could do with a multipack with some different lengths for home, car and desk.
Many thanks.
Anker make great cables, I would definitely recommend them, they're usually braided and sturdy.

It would be nice if they did, but it isn't a deal breaker if they don't
Even if they are USB 2.0, I don't think there are many alternatives that can beat AmazonBasics' quality/price. They are currently at 6.29€/90cm and 9.29€/270cm in Germany.
Although, looking carefully, seems that Anker has the same prices, at least for the black version..
I picked up a couple of Anker and Orzly cables, haven't gone wrong with them yet.
Can recommend Aukey cables. Bundles available at amazon. Dash charge not tested yet.
I try this one and it doesn't work with dash charger

Also original OP2 usb cable do not work with dash charger.
Been using this - http://www.amazon.in/Baseus-Macbook-Mobile-Output-Silver/dp/B016RNXFRS for my Nexus 6P for a year. Now using it for my Oneplus 5.
Just check AliExpress . You can buy official dash charger cables at a much lower price. 100cm and 150cm. The actual charger is a different story though.

How authentic/genuine are the dash chargers and cables from ali express? they look legit but I dont want to risk my device....prices are fantastic for the cables though
Not USB cable related - however I bought a Wireless charger and receiver for my OP3 (which I will be using on my OP5) Works an absolute treat! Not as fast as the DASH charge, however always nice just to plonk your phone on the wireless charger, and let it do it's job.

Anker make great cables, I would definitely recommend them, they're usually braided and sturdy.

+1 for Anker.
Bought a good few and they all look pretty good.
Keep in mind that, most likely, DASH charge won't work with any cable other than the original ones.
Or, at least, that failed for me with all the ones I tried so far.
if you want dash charging, you'll need to buy the 'official' cables from OnePlus unfortunately, though you can get them from other sellers
There are a lot of decent priced supposedly dash capable cables on Amazon with prime shipping right now. I'd check those out and try first. Amazon has great customer service if by chance they don't work.
Anker has the best cables after the original but I would stick with the original because red is sweet
I personally recommend BlitzWolf's cables. I bought several of them at banggood.com 3 months ago and they are truly excellent! I bought the 2m cable, but they have other lengths as well. They all work flawlessly.
No DASH charge of course, but I do not care.
I got a pack of five from a company called rophie on amazon. All different lengths too, very useful actually!
Blitz wolf makes nice cables

What USB C cords are you guys purchasing to charge your OP6T?

This is my first USB C device so I don't have a lot of information if I should be just purchasing random USB C cords on Amazon to charge my OP6T at work. Any suggestions or information on what type of cord I should get would be helpful. I would like to purchase 2-3 cords in different lengths if possible (one for work as mentioned, one for the car, and one for my battery pack).
USB c has been out long enough to trust the reviews of them on Amazon. Just check the ratings and read some of the reviews
I'll put in a high vote for anything Anker.

I have a USB-A--> USB-C cable from Anker. Definitely can't complain.
I have been using the Aukey cables without any issues so far. Get the longer ones for data and the shorter ones if you are only using it for charging.
I've had a couple that worked fine elsewhere but would not dash (yeah I now they lost the right to use that name) charge my OnePlus devices, I'd read the reviews and make sure you're ordering something that's going to leverage your charger. I've got a couple older OnePlus cables in the drawer which I'm assuming will work but I cant prove it until the 6th.
If you want fast charge you have to use the originals. If you want spares you can get some in AliExpress for a reasonable-ish price.
If you want cables to use with batteries or don't care about fast charge, I find that TOPK cables are pretty good, cheap too. They usually come in several colours, have cord and are pretty flexible.
An engineer at Google, Benson Leung, took it upon himself to test many cables for standards compliance. I cannot get his site to load, but I found this article that lists some of his approved cables. http://buyandroidchargers.com/list-of-benson-leungs-usb-c-google-engineer-usb-c/
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00S8GU544/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_dkTJBbN069J3Z
Based on the recommendation here https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/accessories/ordinary-usb-cables-support-dash-t3838411
I wanted a longer cable to plug into my computer, as well as a couple of additional cables to charge at work and in my car. I am also purchasing the OPPO charger for work as well, since it can be had cheaper than the OnePlus wall wart.
These are replacing worn out and slower type C cables.
I thought if you want fast charge you have to use the charger. The cable can be any quality cable

AFAIK USB type A side has additional pins for DASH/Fast Charge. That's why it won't work on any other cables.

I read on OnePlus site that if you want fast charge you have to use their supplied cable or equal too.
I have a few of these aftermarket ones from amazon, work fine with dash charging.

I was going to say, I haven't had a look see for a while but this morning I hit Amazon and there are a number of cables that work with dash charge according to the reviews. Some that don't, also according to the reviews. My big takeaway was half the price of the official goods so I went ahead and ordered the same one the fellow above me linked because it's the first one I ran into that was 6 ft instead of a meter. Glad to here someone got there first and it worked: Amazon reviews are good but I have more faith in a thumbs up from a fellow phone person.
Anker all the way.

Can you link a fast charge cord or adapters from AliExpress? I swear I never know what's fake on that website. I've ordered a few things from them before but only on smaller purchases.
I ordered one from Amazon .. it comes from shenzen China. Where most electronics are made in China..
It's literally a official OP cable but packaged in a generic box.
I tested and it works for dash charge..
It's exactly the same except it says dash on the tip .
And it was under $7
I'll post a link of anyone shows interest

Post it bro
I asked my friend in Asia to buy me some Oppo chargers and OP 1.5m dash cable. It costs around $3 for the Oppo charger and $4 for the cable. Also bought the dash car charger for under $10.
