Tested it earlier. Its not working
Same as moto camera too.
Going to delete my post. Sorry for intrusion.
I really doubt the SoC supports 60fps video recording. I looked a lot into it a while ago, went so many ways, but I kept failing.
I read on russian forum, you must change the media_profiles.xml too and using the moto camera.

Use footej cam. It gives 60fps, at least thats mx player reports.
Actual fps depends on lighting conditions. Lower lights = lower fps

None of these apps work for 60fps for me. I'm so frustrated right now. Also, the download links on the Russian forum are dead.
Hello guys, the update 8.0.0.162 just appeared on FF
EIS is here guys !!
I will install asap and report back
See the attachement for the Changelog
Unfortunately, the update is not approved for my device yet, so I will wait for another week or two to have it updated on my phone.
Just installed the update using the no check recovery,
EIS is here for 720p and 1080p30fps. It's not available for 1080p60fps or 4k
Here are the screenshots

Is the EIS available for pictures or only for videos?

Too bad. I hope we'll get EIS for pictures in some future update... Thanks for the info, anyway. ??

Ahm.... EIS for pictures does not exist Maybe the EIS option is going to be available for 1080p 60 fps in any of the future updates, but unfortunately we are not going to have EIS for the 4K recording because of the Kirin 970. P20 Pro and Mate 10 Pro are having the same stabilization - 1080p 60fps + EIS with not stabilization at 4K.

Nah, OIS is a hardware feature.
OIS is a hardware feature - it helps for both pictures/videos while the EIS is a software feature and it can only be uses for video.
Did somebody already tested the EIS? What is the quality?

Yup tested and it's about the same as without stabilization. Just a little zoomer due to the traitement of the video.

I am surprised because I was using Honor 8 a few months ago and it has EIS for 1080p (I believe for 1080p 60 fps) and it worked really good. The picture is cropped when the EIS is turned on because this is how the feature actually works. Hopefully, it is going to be improved in the future.

Yes just tested and of course it's working on videos without EIS and working with EIS too
And as you may know there's a better stabilization with Google photos, but you can use the following combo : EIS +Google photos stabilization. Amazing results

Thanks for confirmation I actually asked as it's not working on devices which are not updated, such as mine...
Like I can see Stabalized videos edited by Google... But while saving it gives me "unable to save" error
Did somebody receive the update as OTA, without FF?

Could you install some gcam and check if it crashes? Check also please the night sight and picture quality.
Not working

Based on the work that's allegedly been done with the Sony Alpha team and the camera, I wonder what gcam will do better. I'd hate to lose all that work if I blow away the DRM, just to find out the pics aren't improved over stock.
Anyone already tested the Google Camera on Mi A3?
Yes i do...using gcam build for Redmi Note 7 by BSG... everything works except for portrait mode...
How are the results?

So still there isn't a port realized properly for A3, the users are using ports for other phones that however work but with some bugs...
Is not better to use port for Mi9?
Mi 9 has the same main sensor (48 Mpx Sony) instead of Redmi note 7 (48 Mpx Samsung)
Ultra wide function works?
I hope in a release optimized for A3

In my opinion the quality of the photos is better in this version. But it can be a placebo effect.
Snapdragon 665 is capable of [email protected] slow-motion recording. Does this mode we have in GCAM? With the stock camera, you can shoot just 1080p120fps

Anyone got to use ultra wide?
Use arnova latest app and set the following parameters to run app without any errors. Pictures are much brighter and sharp compared the stock app.
I m using Indian 4gb 64 gb variant.
Link for apk.

Anyone know if this is compatible with S9+?
Is there any port that can enable our Wide lens camera?
Confirmed Mi9 port everything works except Wide lens, Xtreme version, default xml, ver 6.1. Front camera not working on Urnyx version, ver 6.2.

You mean for MIUI 10?
I guess you have to take the stock camera. Camera API 2 doesn't work in MIUI 10 and your possibilities are very limited
