Oxygen is O2 and Nitrogen is N2
Looking for the OxygenOS from OnePlus phones ported to vince.
As an ex Redmi 5 Plus user, and a new OnePlus 6 user, i agree, OxygenOS would be amazing. It's the best ROM i ever used, and i've been rooting and changing ROMs for 8 years, that means something !
Some things look very device-specific though, and RAM management is one of a kind (New feature on the 6T uses available RAM to store app data like a Ramdisk, but for this, you need huge amounts of it) but if a Pixel ROM can be ported to vince, why an Oxygen one couldn't haha !

Fist of all thanks for share these links, Can you explain the exact process to install:
- Emui
- OxygenOs
Emui is not booting, or stay in Android generic bootanimation or it redirects me to fastboot.
What I did.
- Flashed AOSP vendor treble based and rebooted to android.
- Rebooted to TWRP, deleted system (in other try not deleting it) and restored backup of system.
- Mount vendor and flashed patch-1 then patch-2, rebooted.
- it stays in Android and if I wipe dalvik and cache it redirects me to fastboot.

Can we try it with cardinal Aosp which we were using for pie gsi ?
And the procedure would be
1. Installing the Base rom (ur suggested or Cardinal Aosp)
2. And restoring the oxygen os backup (can we use orangefox recovery or only twrp treble)
3. Then rebooting to system
Is the above steps right ?
bug: on oxygen os, the headphone no detect in music player, any solution?

Emui doesnt boot, without flashing patches it ended up in boot loop and after flashing patches ( patch 1 always fail) it ended up in fastboot, dont know how the dev was able to boot it.
For Oxygen Os
* Battery hungry Rom
* Wired Headphones dont work
* Offscreen gestures dont work
* One plus camera dont work
But still i loved the Oxygen OS hopefully dev will give bug fixes.

@Aex12, do you have tools to extract payload.bin to system.img?
@alex12 The script is here:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1fB4r68tj7zQKCooyopYux8cQzGPxDKno
comand: ./payload_dumper.py payload.bin
1. Download a Poco rom that you want
2. Open the zip on your PC or mobile
3. Navigate to "META-INF/com/google/android"
4. Open the update-script with a text editor
5. Then remove every line at the beginig that starts with "assert" (they are almost always the first three lines)
6. Save it
7. Flash the ROM and a custom kernel for our device and enjoy it
(optional)
8. Flash this Magisk module to set the right build props for our device

No I don't think this will work.
Mi8 and Poco has almost the same hardware. That's why it works. Oxygen is for OnePlus and it's not similar as Poco.

Has anyone got the OxygenOS Poco Port to work on their Mi 8? I'm currently trying but it's not booting up.
This is what I've done:
-changed the OxygenOS update-script
-wiped data,cache,dalvik + system
-did factory reset
-flashed the rom (prepped OxygenOS)
-flashed Mi8 kernel
-flashed DFE
-flashed the vendor.img you need for OxygenOS
I see the Oxygen boot animation but after 5 mins of trying to boot my Mi 8 resets into recovery
Would really love an OxygenOS port for the Mi 8 so hmu if u got this to work

Thanks Philliped346 for those links. Where is the thread about los16 on 4PDA ?*Is it in the global thread related to Redmi 3 / 3*Pro ?*Because I didn't found it. Do you know if it will be monthly updated with security patches ? I suppose there will be no ota since it's unofficial.

same problem with usb on both LOS16 and RR7 i think just in redmi3pro devices (but at least you can do some developer thing to fix this temporary usb confg==>set to file transfer)
ambient display doesn't work at all
try O2 kernel ===>stuck in mi logo
so much lag in paly pubg
finger-print so slow
just a bit LOS16 better than RR7
and overall i've experience gsi so much smoother than these even for usual daily usage

I'm gonna try Superior OS, also if you have graphical glitches as I mentioned put this line on build.prop:

That's going to solve that minimal issue

Thanks, also is there any pie kernel for Redmi 3 (ido)?
I've tried to install havoc os 3.1, Aex 7 and ion os 10 for my redmi 5 plus but none of them gets installed. boot loop or no os shows in Orangefox. my orangefox version is 10, Stable.
I always wipe dalvik, data, cache and system before flashing. then I flash latest firmware and then the rom and gapps.
can anyone tell me what is wrong I am doing? how to install android 10 roms? (I am currently in xiaomi.eu rom)
I believe you have to install "TWRP-system-as-root.img" recovery

You need to format data and again reboot to orangefox and then install the rom, reboot and install gapps
Note that it will delete the content of your internal storage.

Thanks man, I took your guidance and managed to install android 10 havoc os and others. but Android 10 roms are not much fulfilled yet. I wish developers would stick with android 9 and made more stable and perfect roms ...

Yeah. I'm stuck with MIUI oreo just for the sake of stability. I want my phone to work when I need it the most.

Same man, I am using that laggy+buggy global MIUI 11.0.20 .. I've also re-locked my boot-loader so I don't get tempted to flash custom roms again and again

Try to format data 1st. Then wipe everythings just like you did. Then flash rom.
Hi. I have a Huawei MediaPad M5 8.4 with EMUI 9.1
The loader is open. How can I roll back to 8.1?
why rollback? if your bootloader is allready open?
flash treble android 10
havoc os is running on my m5 wifi and it's super smooth
i agree, drop Emui and grab AOSP. i've just flashed Quack (android10) Phh treble v.222 and it is perfect, smooth and AOSP!!!!

yup flashed via fastboot
fastboot flash system xxxxxxx.img
(keep in mind to unpack rom after downloading - it comes in .xz packed format)
for the m5 wifi it's A64-AB,
( not A64-Aonly)
and having emui 9 on it before i flashed gsi rom
i used Havoc Rom - vanilla

Phh Treble Quack (Android 10) is available in different flavours: vanilla. floss, gapps, go (see here). I use the gapps version and it is pre-rooted with supersu (not magisk on GSI)
